    I showed my mom (A beautician for 63 years now.) the Laifen dryer in one of your videos last year. She bought me it for Christmas. It is the best dryer that I have ever tried on my hair. I am her worst customer/biggest challenge. I have thin/fine hair and I love it! Thanks for sharing this product.

      I have had a Laifen hairdryer for a year and a half now. I absolutely love it! My hair gets dried without feeling fried. I had a blowout with a Dyson, and I think the Laifen is just as good. The feature I like the most is the one that cycles through the 3 heat levels without having to do anything! I love the color, the look, the weight, and the ease of use.

      Hi, thank you for the great video! I just had one question-
      Will some hair types benefit from the higher max heat from the Dyson? i.e. would a blowout last longer?
      I'm very new to these dryers. I tried the Dyson very recently when I visited my mom for Thanksgiving and it was mindblowing. I just want to see if max temp matters for longevity. I have fine thick wavy/curly hair, medium length, and the dyson really impressed me.
      Thank you!

    I have done the Dyson Laifen comparison too. I have 2 Dysons, the main one I use and the 2nd is a spare for guests. Well, the first time I saw the Laifen talked about on your channel I went to their site and bought my pink one. I loved it so much that I bought a second one in white. Personally I think the Laifen is better than the Dyson. I love the LED lights to show temperature, the magnetic cap on the filter, the great choice of colors (I'm shallow! 😂), the price even without a discount (I got both with discounts), and the way my 73 yr old hair actually shines after use! I've been telling everyone about this dryer including my hair stylist. 👍🏻 (By the way, I'm selling my Dysons! 😊)

    Had my hair cut today in a pixie cut. Booked in for a 6 week appt with my hairdresser. Something I’ve never done before but I took note of the things to consider before getting this haircut. AND I’ve ordered my Laifen hair dryer tonight. From the European website. I’m in UK so I also made sure I ordered the correct 240v option. It’s on the online order form for anyone thinking of ordering one from UK. My hairdresser has actually got a similar hairdryer I was surprised to see today. She’s having discomfort in her wrist and has opted for a lighter hairdryer for her salon. She likes the Laifen and wants to see mine when get it. Thanks Jason for some good advice I feel great and even put some make up on as I feel good. I’m in my late 60s and needed a change of style. Great video as always! You were unbiased in your analysis of both the pros & cons of each dryer. I am assuming that Dyson came out with their dryer first followed by the other. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
    If this is indeed the case then Dyson spent buckets of R&D $$$$$$$$ on developing their product which in turn added to the hefty price tag! If the other company took several ideas from the Dyson dryer, tweeked it so there were no patent issues - I have no doubt that their product is priced less! They didn't "fund" the R&D - DYSON DID!

    • @justinhickox
      @justinhickox  2 месяца назад +15

      That’s a really good question and a totally valid point!! I can’t speak for every creator but I can say that I ONLY accept sponsorships from products that I like and would recommend. This channel has been built on the trust of my audience. Without that, I have no channel. The trust of this community is worth WAY more than any sponsorship, and I don’t need them to survive financially. With all that said, I think you should always do a bit of research on products and don’t just take my, or any creators, opinions on them as your ONLY source of recommendations. We can just be a part of that research.

      @@justinhickox I definitely understand what you're saying. To be completely honest, I just now found your channel and so far have only seen this one video of yours while doing just that: researching. I have no reason to doubt that you're being honest, and I didn't mean anything bad by what I said. As someone who views all sorts of content on RUclips, I'm very weary of any sponsored products, cause I've learned many things that content creators are paid to promote are not that great when you look beyond the surface level of the product/service they're promoting. With that being said, as you're a salon owner in addition to a YT creator, it definitely wouldn't make sense if you promoted something you didn't believe in. At the end of the day, I do think the Laifen Swift will be the one I pick up. It'll be a nice upgrade over my $15 Conair hair dryer. Thank you for taking the time to respond!

    --
    1.) Has anyone found that the Laifen has the same reliability (lasts as long) as the Dyson? I'm a new cosmetologist and would like to get the longest life I can out of an appliance, since it is a business investment. 2.) I've heard that the cord is noticeably shorter on the Laifen than on the Dyson. As a stylist I would think this would get in the way of working all the way around the client's head without hitting them with the cord. What do you think about this?

    I considered buying a Laifen but a lot of reviews have the same issue: The hair dryer stops blowing hot air after a short period of time.
    So, I used my credit card points and my Sephora loyalty perks and bought the Dyson. Fabulous hair dryer for my wavy/curly hair. But yes, not going to lie, it is freaking expensive.
    I did want a blow dryer for travel, though, and don't want to drag along said expensive hair dryer...so I'm risking a Laifen now, anyway, as someone sold an open box item on eBay. Got it for a steal so, if the worst *does* happen, I won't be too angry financial wise. Waiting for its arrival.
    We'll see.
    If Laifen can improve upon the issue of the heating coil going and extend the cord (another minor complaint I've read), it seems Laifen really could be a relatively cheaper (relatively, as a new unit is still over $100!) option for those wanting a Dyson but not willing to pay such a steep cost for one.

    Is there a noticeable difference between the blowing power of the laifen swift and laifen SE?

  • @andreapoleolelal
    @andreapoleolelal Год назад +2

    Hello sir. I have one question. What is the difference between the 3 types of laifen? Swift SE and swift premium?

    • @TUBESTEAKNIG
      @TUBESTEAKNIG 6 месяцев назад

      SE and Swift are very similar in drying time, sound, heat temperature, features, power, etc. The Swift is just slightly better at everything with a metal construction whereas the SE has some rubber/plastic hybrid, although it has nicer colors available. Premium is more powerful.

    I don't know safa blow dryers lol but I follow another channel that was promoting the laifen so I decided to pick it up for my girlfriend who's never had a fancy blow dryer before.. Seems like I made a solid move excited for her to receive it especially after the one she did have went out on her (was old but not fancy)

    Hi Justin, thanks for your thoughts on this topic! I‘ve just purchased the Laifen. I am a little bit disappointed to find out that even on the lowest speed, it‘s still very high speed, which makes drying/styling my baby bangs nearly impossible. Do you have any suggestions how to style short hair with high speed hair dryers?
    Thank you!

    I think the final verdict is biased, becuase the logic doesn't make sense. Does Laifen sponser your channel? Saying the Laifen wins because its highest heat is only 176 while the dyson can do that same heat on medium while offering a higher heat if you want it. Also the hair looked better on the Dyson side of her head. Now, saying Laifen wins because it does a similar job for cheaper is certainly a win.

    • @justinhickox
      @justinhickox  Месяц назад

      I hear ya. While Laifen wouldn’t allow me to say this in that video, in my tests I found that it dried the hair faster than the Dyson with less heat. IMO having a dryer get hotter doesn’t make it a better dryer. It simply means it has the option for people who aren’t familiar with how heat affects hair to damage their hair easier. Don’t get me wrong, I love Dyson as well. They make amazing products. In this case, as you mentioned, the Laifen dried hair faster with less heat and a quieter experience. It did that at less than 1/2 the price. You are correct though, Laifen did sponsor this video but I’ve been talking about them even when they aren’t sponsoring and using this dryer for years now. BUT, definitely don’t just take my word for it, or anyone else’s. Do a bunch of research and make the best choice for you. Thanks for checking out the video.

    Had I known about the Laifen before, I might have gone with it for the cost benefit 🤑 but overall I am pretty happy with the supersonic and hope it will be the last hairdryer I ever have to buy. I often use the comb attachment to help smooth my hair.

    I have fine, thin hair in a blixie-ish cut. I count on the hair dryer’s higher temp to give me volume and lift that doesn’t collapse in an hour (I rough dry it on high speed/medium temp, then style with a round brush using low speed/high temp). Have you tried the Laifen on hair like mine with success, or is it best suited to thick hair?

    I bought the Laifen dryer at your recommendation. I contacted the company two days after it was delivered to let them know I wanted to return it. LAIFEN CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULD NOT LET ME RETURN THE DRYER! In fact, Lafein customer service would not answer my emails (the only way they can be contacted) once I notified them that I was not satisfied with the dryer.
