I came to say this! I care about quality. I want to know that I can purchase something and already know the drawl backs before. And @VacuumWars you are the only place I come for vacuum stuff, time to start expanding please.
I don't mind you braching out, but I'm not convinced that the methology is up to your usual standard. A hair dryer review without some test to measure how fast it dries hair just seems ridiculous - though I do understand that you tried and found repeatability to be too low. Anyway, I think going and asking a bunch of people with very long hair what they think is most important in a hair dryer might be a good idea to refine your testing. (This coming from someone with very short hair that hasn't even held a hair dryer in over a decade, so take anything I write with a grain of salt.)
I love this diversification! I would love the review of the Dyson air wrap versus the more affordable stylers. Would it be possible to measure the speed that they were able to dry/style using similar attachments? Thank you!!
What's important for me is if it's easy to clean the hairdryer. I've got an expensive one that has got some dust inside and it's impossible to easily take out parts for cleaning.
Same thing for vacuums. My Dyson V12 slim is impossible to disassemble completely in order to properly clean it up. I saw the V15 improved that slightly, but in general the more expensive you go, the least serviceable the item is
@@nKrandom yea, but still some stuff remains. I have a golden retriever so I vacuum a lot of hair and just can’t get rid of the “dog smell” from the vacuum. I’ve replaced the filters and cleaned all parts that I could, but it still has some crevices where I couldn’t get clean even with compressed air.
Did you personally try all of the smart dyson features and verify that they all work as intended are can potentially be useful in the real world? I would have liked to have seen that
A few years back, my wife came home very excited, and showed me her new Dyson hairdryer. When I learned the high price I was stunned and thought she’d succumbed to BS marketing claims. After using it the price was A-OK because it was so much quieter than the cheap competitors.
Impressive how Dyson has the strongest airflow but also the lowest noise and lightest weight! But you dont want one to get too hot, I mean 150 deg near your head let alone hair sounds dangerous! Glad the Nural addresses this
@@KeijonAutoVuokra you might be right. I think the only why they could make an impact would be by designing l a special fanless case using their tech. But that's a big ask in a very competitive market.
@@SimplestUsername Noctua/be quiet are the fans your looking for if you want a near silent rig but they do come at a cost compared to the more noisy and lower quality budget fans that you can buy. I have an older rig with a 3700x cpu in it that I gave to my mother that has a dark rock pro 4 cooler (be quiet) with a single silent wings 3 fan on it and when it's on you don't even hear it unless it's very quiet or you put your ear up to it. There are other brands out there that are just as good but with my own personal experience with noctua and be quiet over the past decade ish is why I'm mentioning them as the no frills quality performance options.
The kind of fans needed in a quiet computer are very different from the tiny high-rpm fans that Dyson likes to hide deep inside the bowels of their products. The computer fan market is also highly competitive with quite a few premium manufacturers already competing. Be quiet and Noctua have already been mentioned. NoiseBlocker, Arctic and Cooler Master also stand out, but there's far more competition than that.
I’ve appreciated the great reviews and all your efforts over the many years! 👍 So perhaps add a Tineco MODA ONE hairdryer to to your list for next time?! I ended up purchased a Tineco Hair Dryer (MODA ONE) where I would have never spent $299 on a hairdryer, but after being very impressed from having purchased a few Tineco products (after watching your great reviews). Tineco had a “deal” where I got it for $179. Which is still A LOT! but man is it ever been impressive… The Tico MODA ONE hairdryer has fantastic magnetic attachments and it’s ability to sense the moisture and adjust its own temperature and fan speed is pretty unbelievable. So Tineco made me a believer where I would definitely buy it again without any hesitation. Hope that might help others out there! 😇 Thanks again for all you do!

everybody please keep in mind that high wind-power, heat, etc should be taken with a grain of salt because everybody's hair is different, heat can damage and dry out some hair, while wind can frizz your hair. That's why personally think the Dyson Nural is my favorite because of the features that help with this.
I bought the first Gen Dyson Supersonic after reading initial rave reviews. I gave it as a gift to my wife and she was so pissed off she didn't open it for two weeks. Then she tried it ...and probably to date it's been the gift that has generated the most enthusiasm on her part. If it died i'd probably by the Nural.
For the longest time I thought the Dyson was way overpriced. After buying one I can’t go back to a “normal” hair dryer. It takes less than 30 seconds to dry my short-ish hair while a Conair or something would take 5+ minutes
I think this test is flawed in so many ways by focusing on air flow and temperature - treating it like a vacuum. I am a guy with head full of air and even I know air flow patterns is much more important than the flow rate. The objective is not to blow your hair all over the places... the objective is to gently dry and using heat or alternating hot/cold air to style the hair. For one, missing Panasonic in this line up is unimaginable. Dyson Hair Dryer brand can only exist in markets like the US, where everything is dominated by craps from Conair and Revlon. I travel to Asia for work often and it opened my eyes to great hair dryers. Panasonic makes a ton of awesome hair dryers that are very very quiet and fantastic for your hair.
This was an unexpected review when looking for suggestions for a friend. But I truly hope the hair wrap tools get tested because... I have trust issues. I trust your process more than others because the bias is insane with beauty tools.
Finally someone who does proper pseudo-scientific reviews! I wish you could somehow compare the airwrap and other stuff too, but it gets complicated as it's comparing different methods (for example GHD platinum is a regular flat iron, but the airstrait uses hot air not hot plates)
Definitely didn't see this coming. Great way to change things up. This video was great. I learned a lot about the different Supersonics that I never knew. Yes, please do an Airwrap vs copycat review!!!
I enjoyed the hair dryers. Having some variety is good. Only testing vacuums could create burnout so having something else is not only good for the creators but the audience too❤
I'm surprised you didn't buy the Laifen hairdryer to compare. It is one of the main competitors of the Dyson hairdryer and priced much more competitively. I've tried one before and I was surprised it felt marginally stronger than my Dyson

I am not talking about the GFCI plug where USA version has it. in simple words, your first gen dyson wire should be the same as your new dyson Nural. with a rectangular box (electrical filter) and round plug with 2 prongs. if your wires looks different, I am guess your dyson first gen is fake one. specially if you bought it from amazon or ebay. there is big chance that it is fake.
I have been a fan for years now and I enjoy this new adventure of yours with hair dryers!! During the video, I noticed you were raking through the hair with the diffuser attachment. This attachment is specifically designed to keep curls and waves intact. You would want to use the inserted clip at 5:25 as your guide for accurate testing with a diffuser. The mannequin you used had Type 1A hair, which is very straight, fine, and thin. Type 1 hair generally requires less effort compared to other hair types. To better assist your viewers, consider using mannequins with different hair types or thicker hair, as there are four main hair types, each with subtypes A, B, and C. Many people with Types 2 to 4 have a mixture of textures. Using a Type 3 (curly) mannequin would provide a more comprehensive test and show how the blow dryers perform on various textures and densities. It should be fairly easy to find a Type 3 mannequin for your tests. It's important to note that we don't want a blow dryer that gets too hot, as excessive heat can cause damage. While hotter isn’t always better, Dyson has been working on technology to minimize heat damage, making their dryers less prone to it. I would love to see a review of the Airwrap and Flex. I feel the most important factor in measuring Hair Dryers is how moisturising the hair would be after hair drying.
Considering, the target market is female and females hair drying duration is significantly higher the longer the hair is.
The long duration exposes the hair to excess heat and drying, resulting in damage to long hair and fizziness.
So to me, the most important factor is moisturising factor, followed by how fast the hair dryer can dry the hair.
I got the Dyson Airstrait for this reason. It looks like a flat iron, but is basically a hair dryer that focuses the air flow so that it's not wasted to the environment, and the hair dries to about 99% on one pass with less heat. The key with this tool is to dry smaller sections of hair at a time. Overall dry time is the same because with a normal hair dryer, I have to go over the same area multiple times.
