    Class molly. Done Irish in st colmans in strabane and to be honest like every other subject never paid much attention, always wanted to get back to it. I only remember the Irish national anthem, how to count to about 29 and the very odd part of a conversation 🙈 going to get stuck into these videos now that I have found them. go raibh maith agat for putting these out there!

    Learning Irish is cool, Irish Rebel Songs are becoming very popular everywhere!
    Check out how many people are singing " The Foggy Dew" , "The Fields of Athenry" and
    "Go on home British Soldiers go on home" and my favorite : "Come on out ye Black and Tan"
    You can really impress beautiful Molly by singing these songs in Irish!

    Thank you so, so much for taking the time to make these! I'm from the southern states in the US with Scottish, Welsh, and Irish background (specifically Donegal and Cork) and have started learning Scottish Gaelic and Irish (Welsh is far to difficult for me to even begin to comprehend) I hope you don't take offense to this, but it's amazing how similar certain drawls in the south here, resemble your brogue.

    Irish is close to your heart you say. I am surprised I've made it as far as l have on Duolingo and I wonder if "finding my heart" has anything to do with it. Your a pretty good educator, thank you for helping me understand a bit more every time I watch. (P.s. the more I learn the more I feel I need to learn.)go raib maith agat? Thank you?

    Perfect. Thanks Molly. Just what i need right now as I try adding conversations (super speed, think on the seat of my pants scary stuff) to my vocab and grammar. I even needed a nip ofJamesons to get through my last one. Anyway, this is perfect, thanks. We are on jobs, and work conditions -hours etc and other stuff. Are you from somewhere or born somewhere etc etc. So much to take in that I'm on information overload but this was great, thanks.

      Hey Sara thanks for watching 😊 I have thought about that however it would be too complex to tackle in a video and I find it hard to explain myself as I learned a lot of it ‘unofficially’ if that makes sense. However, you should check out instagram.com/_narudaibeaga_/?hl=en
      She does great grammar posts and has done some on Tuiseal Ginideach. Gramadach gan stró is good too, although a bit advanced

      Irish is Celtic, Spanish is Romance. Ata tu/estas seem similar though.

      Dialect differences. Some parts of Ireland say ''hayn'' while others will say ''fayn''.

    How come the s in Tuirse isn't said sh, being next to a slender vowel?

      That is usually the case however, this word is pronounced without that in Ulster 😊 www.focloir.ie/en/dictionary/ei/tired (this is tuirseach - the adjective but it still shows you the difference in pronunciation)

      @ My Grandmother spoke Irish Gaelige to her Sister and my Mother because She thought the Grandkids couldn't understand them.

    Just out of curiosity, do you happen to know if “dia duit” was the common greeting in pre-Christian Ireland?
    If not, what was the common greeting?
    Certainly “Dia is Muire duit” was not the common response before Ireland knew Mary from Adam.

Is náisiún Críostaí sinn agus mar sin úsáidim beannachtaí Críostaí ar aon nós má ba mhaith liom beannachtaí gan reiligiún is féidir leat "maidin mhaith" nó na ama lae eile (Why? We are a Christian nation and so we yse Chistian greetings anyways if you would like greetings without religion you could use "good morning" or the other times of the day)
