  • The TPS Motovlog is BACK after a short hiatus during the unbearable 100 degree heat and every other day thunderstorms!
    This is the 2019 Kawasaki Versys 1000 LT SE + Kawasaki's high end adventure/sport touring motorcycle. Not only does it have the power and agility of the Versys 1000, it has a host of super cool electronics and luxury features.

    I put 10,300 miles on my 2017 Versys 1000 LT in 14 months. What I really wanted in the next gen (I bought a 2018 Triumph Tiger 1200 XRx) was shaft drive. If you really want to get out there and tour for 1000s of miles, you don't want to be futzing about with chain maintenance. If Kawasaki would make a 1200+cc, shaft driven, 19 inch front wheel version of the Versys with all the accoutrements shown here, it would fly off the showroom floor. I would buy one this fall. :)

      Or what if there was an ADV version that had those changes to it? Like how Suzuki does the XT version of the V-Strom.. I can see both sides of the coin, since a more sport oriented rider may prefer the chain (like you'd find on the Ninja 1000) Excellent points, my friend, thanks for watching and commenting!

      @@TEAMPOWERSPORTS I could dig that. I'd even buy the Kawi if it only had the 1000cc engine in it. 1200+cc is not necessarily my goal, but the shaft drive, and 19in front wheel changed my ADV motorcycling XP for the far better.I just wish Triumph Raleigh had the same level of customer service focus that TPS Raleigh does. I miss that. :( Your reviews get better every time, Sarah. Keep it up!

    Its a really nice bike, but Kawasaki need to offer the SE+ features on the Versys 650, too.

    • @TEAMPOWERSPORTS

      I like the idea of an SE+ version of the 650 as well. I've always said that its more fun to have a lighter bike that you can full throttle without leaving the comfort zone. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    First! Thank you for reviewing. These seem excellent. A bike you could hold on to forever maybe? Please don’t forget about the Versys 650 LT. Let me know your thoughts between it and the vstrom 650. Thank you and be safe.

      Hi Joe, thanks for watching and commenting! I can already tell you my thoughts between the two: I like the styling and engine dynamic of the Versys better than I like the V-Strom. However, the V-Strom is a favorite among adventure enthusiasts and has a reputation for being bulletproof and hard to kill. If I were buying one solely for the street, I would by a Versys 650, but if I truly intended on doing some off roading, I would get a V-Strom 650.

    Have you adjusted the high beams? I am not liking the illumination. It seems to me the low and hight beam are tied together so i can't raise the high bean without raising the low beam

    what are your thoughts between the 650 lt and the 1000 se lt? What would you recommend?

    • @TEAMPOWERSPORTS
      @TEAMPOWERSPORTS  4 года назад +3

      Wow, that is a tough question. Personally, I like the 650 for the lighter weight and ability to go full throttle everywhere without being out of my comfort zone, and the price. HOWEVER the 1000 SE LT + is the nicer equipped and more luxurious and more powerful of the two bikes. My recommendation: if you're just looking for a fun bike for shorter rides, goofing off around town, or light adv stuff, then the 650 is the way to go; but if you are planning on commuting daily, taking several days long trips, and want serious performance, then the 1000 is the right choice.

    Kawasaki Versys 1000 or Suzuki V-Strom 1000? No off road riding just touring. Had a 2007 V-Strom 1000 and liked it! Interested in which you’d prefer for touring duty?

    • @TEAMPOWERSPORTS

      Hi Dave, excellent question! I think that the Versys 1000 is a little more fun for street riding since the inline 4 cylinder engine makes it more of a sport touring bike. However, I personally prefer the V-Strom for the looks and the V-Twin engine. Have you seen the brand new 1050 V-Strom?

      TEAM POWERSPORTS Thanks! I watched your review of the Vstrom and enjoyed it. Like I mentioned I had a 2007 Vstrom and put a lot of highway miles on it while touring and it was a great motorcycle. I like that the Kawasaki comes with side bags and appears that most models of the Vstrom do not which is unfortunate.

    How difficult, as a woman, do you find the weight and size of this model? I'm assuming the newer models are the same weight and girth

    • @TEAMPOWERSPORTS
      @TEAMPOWERSPORTS  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for watching and commenting! I'll say that the size of the bike isn't really a concern, provided you're tall enough to handle it. At 5'9" I'm very well flatfooted and can maintain control with ease, however for someone with a shorter inseam, or less experience, it may be a steeper learning curve to get acquainted with the bike.

    Nice review! I don´t get it why almost everybody (not you) is complaining about the manual adjustable windshield. I ride a white 2019 Versys 1000 (base modell in touring config) fineartamerica.com/featured/versys-1000-hans-zimmer.html and LOVING IT! Back to the windshield - i set it one time and it´s perfect ... no(!) need whatsoever to adjust it any further. The base modell comes with a wonderful suspension, too and i am not missing any of what the SE modell offers (the TFT display maybe but i can wonderfully live without it). This bike is a keeper! Did i mention that i LOVE it? ;o) :o)

      Ziemlich gute Beschleunigung für ein Sporttourenmotorrad. Ich habe es auch gelassen!
