Request, could you do a video chatting with another such passionate rider, discussing how to choose/ plan for/ get ready for your first big bike?! I’m an enthusiast rider, and would love to understand what should be the mindset to approach big bikes, but so far the only videos I’m seeing are by journalists who have way too much experience with big machines making their suggestions feel a little daunting. Far Sportier, 81 horsepower 2. 180 section tyre, genuinely sport tourer 3. 160 mm ground clearance made Spiti circuit ‘comfortable’ 4. The sound is amazing 5. The triple cylinder has a super comfortable flat torque curve 6. Looks, although subjective is far newer, leaner and appealing to a lot of people Sales number comparison of the two can say the rest. Based on riding 15k kms with one.
My height is 5.7.... I love versys but weight is an issue for me for daily commute in bangalore traffic. Still heart sometimes override brain. I am thinking of an upgrade from NX500 but confused between versys, transalp and africa twin. i love versys, but its very heavy, service cost is high and spares are difficult to get. Transalp i dont like its looks, but i love the engine power. i hate it doesnt come with tubeless tires. initial cost is high with accessories and all but very easy to maintain in long run + i have started to like honda service treatment. Also inclined towards Africa twin as brain and heart is saying -buy once buy best. Your views please.
If you have the money for it, we would suggest you go big! Get the Africa Twin/BMW1300 GS. Get the big bike out of your system sooner rather than later. Then you can focus on what really matters for the rest of your riding career-the trip and riding on whichever bike you have. But you have to go through this journey on your own and experience it for yourself. It won't matter what anyone else says.

My 2023 Kawasaki Versys 650 LT reminds me of my Honda Goldwing 1200 Aspencade. It has a comfortable ride and is nimble like a sport bike.
