- In 1991, on behalf of World in Action, Adam set out to live homeless on the streets of London. With no bank accounts or credit cards, his worldly possessions consisted of the clothes that he was standing in, £30 cash, and a bag with a concealed camera and microphone.
No Fixed Abode tells the story of his struggle to find food to eat and a roof to sleep under. On his journey, he shows us the harsh reality of homelessness in London.
On 21 Sep 2021:
Adam Holloway voted for rising prices, lower benefits, and higher taxes particularly for low and middle income workers.
Love this film, it was a brave and admirable thing for you to do, and the documentary is very informative and quite moving. But wondered how you ended up becoming a Conservative MP, as you mention in the film that they've done so much to ruin the housing sector?
I know! such a good film, seems like such good intentions. But then to become a tory, who have demonstrably increased the number of homeless and increased the number of foodbanks. and more recently Mr Holloway voted against giving children free school meals over the holidays. I really don't know what happened. Quite sad, really.
The House of Cards graphic was possibly the least effective visual aid ever.
Its extremely sad to see this, bleak times they were then, now British peoples benefits are cut wherever possible so our wonderful government can send billions of pounds in foreign aid.

Wonder what Adam is up to now ...
He's a particularly nasty Tory MP.
Terrible way to live I used to work for a slumlord even thinking about them days makes me feel dirty. We robbed him of 7000gin 84 lot of money then. And to this day Imglad we robbed him.
Sleeping rough is a lot more comfortable than a military exercise, who says so, why ADAM HOLLOWAY MP, that's who.
Don't forget this was made nearly 30 years ago
A lot has changed
Including his conscience.after 15 years of Tory rule housing costs have reached so high while wages are so low in the era of zero hours contracts, that even nurses and teachers have been forced to use food banks. Which didn't exist before the Tories got in and totally dismantled the public service sector. This man should be made to repeat his experiment and see what it's like now when you can't even walk into a benefits office. Let him deal with landlords who won't take any benefits, having to have a constant and reliable source of internet and the whims of universal credit and the sanctions system. Talk about trying to keep warm while energy companies are making record profits. Children are no longer able to find a dentist,or get treatments for excema, headlice and ringworm on prescription. All on his Tory party watch.
