  • In 1991, on behalf of World in Action, Adam set out to live homeless on the streets of London. With no bank accounts or credit cards, his worldly possessions consisted of the clothes that he was standing in, £30 cash, and a bag with a concealed camera and microphone.
No Fixed Abode tells the story of his struggle to find food to eat and a roof to sleep under. On his journey, he shows us the harsh reality of homelessness in London.

Finally found this. I happened to see it on TV when i was young. I always remember Scouse getting angry over the selling of cigarettes and then the Dickensian hotel.

Even by 1991 surely the government offices could have just faxed a document from one to another rather than all the back and forth by foot. Obviously, that wasn't the case.

That scouse belongs in a Harry Enfield comic sketch. I hope he managed to sort himself out in the end.

I remember this programme. Not all the details, but it's good to see it again. I will watch part 3 next time I got some time. Watching this, I can only think, if it was bad then in the 90's, what's the level of homelessness now, when most people are struggling to live, apart from the rich. Even middle income families are struggling, which can only mean more people that are on low incomes and were on the edge of losing their rented accommodation from struggling to find the rent, etc are now homeless or being pushed off the edge in to homelessness and even charities that were once there to help them are themselves struggling or have shut down. It's a terrible situation.

Adam Holloway voted for rising prices, lower benefits, and higher taxes particularly for low and middle income workers.

Things have changed a lot, now ADAM HOLLOWAY, MP , says being homeless is `a lot more comfortable than military exercises`, typical tory, privately educated, banks at COUTTS.

Well it’s a good job that he had £30 in his pocket then en it, most people on the streets get nothing, absolutely nothing and when his weeks over he can go back home and write about his ordeal on the streets, again other people don’t get that chance do they?
