    I'm struggling in doing my dissertation .
    It's about finding practical implications and recommendations in each conclusion by analyzing 20 dissertations' conclusions . I couldn't understand the exact meaning of implications

    • @keemanxp
      @keemanxp  Год назад

      Basically you need to find out in those 20 dissertations what were the outcomes of their findings. Some could overlap if the topics are similar. A good analysis would them group these implications by themes. Say out of those 20, 6 themes can be derived to
      summarise their implications, eg theme 1: implication to practitioners, theme 2. implication to policies etc

    Hello I have a question regarding theoretical implication. Lets say my research focused on students engagement. And then I added new variable which is learning achievement. Is that consider as theoretical implication?

    • @keemanxp
      @keemanxp  2 года назад +1

      Hi, theoretical implications normally depend on the theory you started off and how your findings inform additional elements on that theory. So for your case, you have to look at the students engagement theory that you used and what elements can be added based on your findings.
      Based on what you have explained, if your findings indicated that learning achievement can influence students engagement, which was not in the theory you have chosen, then it is a theoretical implication.

    Hello, I have a confusion on how exactly to explain the academic implication? Thank you

    • @keemanxp

      Hi, Depending on your scope, academic implications refer to outcomes from your research that would impact academic aspects such as learning environments, curriculum, materials and instruction.

    i am asked to write in chapter 6 - framework/theory of my result.. is this the same as implication? i hope you could see my comment

    • @keemanxp
      @keemanxp  2 года назад +1

      Yeah more like a theoretical implication, in which how your results have contributed to a formulation of a theory or framework. It could be your own version of a "theory" which you might have used for your study OR, how can the results be explained in the form of a framework/theory that other researchers can follow. It can be in the form of concept map that shows how your results can be interpreted in the form of a framework. Example: www.researchgate.net/profile/Ales-Popovic/publication/319176570/figure/fig1/AS:714332585332736@1547321568268/Theoretical-Implications.png

    • @keemanxp
      @keemanxp  Год назад

      You can use citations to support your suggested implications, or to justify why you say so. But it's normally minimal as most of these cited arguments would have been done in the discussion section.

  • @donymarzuki7599
    @donymarzuki7599 3 года назад +1

    Hi, Thank you for that.
    Could you give a piece of advice regarding a study result that is non-significant? What could be the pedagogic implication? For example, I found that method A was not working while previous research found the other way.

    • @keemanxp
      @keemanxp  3 года назад

      Hi, the implication could highlight what was “different” from previous research especially in terms of sample and research method used. E.g, in your case, Method A could be non-significant due to the type of learners you are using as sample or even the difference in background. So in terms of implications it means you have potentially highlighted a gap in the method that should be studied thoroughly in future studies.

    Hi, very helpful video.. my lecture told me to include practical and managerial implication on my research study.. but idk what does it mean by managerial implication? Is it basically the same as practical implications? What do I have to include in managerial implication?

    • @keemanxp
      @keemanxp  3 года назад +1

      Hi, practical implication is more general and can cover a wider scope.
      For managerial implication, it focuses more on actions that needed to be taken on managerial matters after getting the results. For example, budget needs to solve the problems identified in your findings, or change of management structure, human resource. Anything more specific to "management" or managerial matters.

    What is the difference between Recommendation of research and Implication of Research?

    • @keemanxp
      @keemanxp  Год назад +1

      Recommendations come from the implications. So based on the implications of the research, you can recommend what to be done either in future research or by the related parties. In this sense, when you're writing implications, it should sound more like an "outcome" from your findings/discussions and not a suggestion.
