I have been overwhelmed by the whole process of writing my thesis and I am glad that I come across this video. It is very helpful and informative. Thank you so much!
Thanks, Emma. I am about to finalise my discussion chapter. This really helped. In the future, will it be possible to use an example to illustrate your points?
Thank you so much! I probably would fail if I didn't have the help of these videos; I am extremely grateful! Additionally Emma is very enthusiastic and speaks very clearly. The text that appears on screen as she speaks is also very helpful. Great work!
Such fantastic videos from Grad Coach, these have been a life-saver!! Love the simple way they explain the sections and the tips. Awesome job!!! Thank you Emma!
Thank You so much for this information, I have been finding it difficult to start the discussion page but with this your video I am bold enough to start.
Thank you. With all the writing done I s dissertation, I found this so helpful, make sure I have everything I need and a good structure. This video and your other videos, on a dissertation, ha e been so helpful, with keeping me on track.❤ ❤❤❤❤
You are amazing Ema Excellent presentation which boosted my confidence and planning in discussion writing Kudos to all grad coach team I can’t thank enough guys
Ever since I discovered this platform, I have enjoyed every bit of your presentations. And I must commend you for all. However, can you please do a video on “how to write findings and discussion” using literature review?
I as a non-native speaker focus more on her speaking than the content. I had to watch three times to get into the content. Thank you so much Mam Ema! You are so beautiful and great :P
Grad coach team, you rock...thank you for all the efforts you put into this. You're saving lives. One thing I'd like to raise is the free Grad coach consultation, please make it longer as most of us can't afford to pay full consultation. I know it's hard, but please think about students from low-income countries.
Dear Emma. Well done. Results section tells the reader what you found. The discussion section tells what it means. This of course makes it difficult to separate discussion from conclusion
Excellent job!! Thank you for your helpful and useful tutorials, could you recommend some examples of the theses that have the correct structure of each chapter?
Thank you! This was really useful. I have a question though that I always feel confused about. In the article you mentioned, "When interpreting your results, you’ll want to assess how your findings compare to those of the existing research (from your literature review chapter)" ....But we can also include other research in our discussion chapter right, and not just that which we included in the literature chapter? The literature in the review chapter never seems enough to explain the depth of information that I have presented in my results chapter.
@Grad coach, thank you for this, please do you render the service of reviewing dissertation. I am about rounding up my dissertation for my masters in public health, but i need an external body to help proof read and review.
What if my literature review based on theories to built a hypothesis and then analyses the data based on that hypothesis.Should I include the existing empirical research on the problem in discussion chapter?
I have two questions. 1) Is interpretation of the results the same as implications? 2) For the interpretation section, what should I include in “how do my results contribute to the field of research?”? Thank you in advance.
Awesome explanation! But I have difficulty distinguishing the general discussion of the thesis from the discussion of each chapter...They seem to have much overlapping info with each other.
In general quantitative = volume and quantity = depth. A commonly used example is a survey of a lot of people being quantitative, and an in depth interview is a qualitative approach :)
Hey! I am hoping someone can answer this question rather quick as my dissertation is due tomorrow! But basically I have run a lot of ANOVA tests! and am reporting only the 3 most significant interactions as there are several variables and a number of significant relationships. I have decided to only use 3 significant interactions per hypothesis and the rest are going into a table. There is way too much to discuss in the discussion section, so is it ok to go into detail about the most significant relationships and only give brief mention to the others that were not included in the main discussion?

Is it necessary to back every theme in the result section with a quote?
how the 'suggestion for future research' in the recommendation section is different from the improvement point in the limitation section??
What if my literature review based on theories to built a hypothesis and then analyses the data based on that hypothesis.Should I include the existing empirical research on the problem in discussion chapter?
GradCaoch's coaching services are not available in India unfortunately! 😔
Is there any other way I can take help please?

What are the quantitative & qualitative evaluation approaches to educational programs?

EXCELLENT
Many thanks!
hi can you help in forming discussion i m struggling and dissertation due next week thanks
Citations within discussion chapters?
That's correct - especially where referring to other studies.

Emma is immensely marvelous and gorgeous in presentation
I am so exhausted of writing my thesis. Any advice?
It's generally a good idea to take a breather and step back from the work for a few days, so that you can review it with fresh eyes.
