Thank you for watching everyone. Im out this Sunday evening watching my son Angelo playing the main stage in Faversham with his band @collateralrocks so when this video goes live I'll be rocking out there like all good rock mums - so, will come and respond to any comments later on! In the meantime I really hope you enjoy this outing on the River - the second half of which is with Tobias Neto and Lukasz Orlinski. Do go and check out Tobias Neto's RUclips @tob2n and also, I mention the Totally Thames Festival which is taking place between 1st and 30th September, and you can find out what's going on there at this link, including my talk on Sunday 19th September at Woods Quay in London :- thamesfestivaltrust.org/whats-on/a-mudlarks-feast-4862/ Catch you all later. NO, no, thank you for 40mins of complete bliss, your videos are done in such a way as I feel like I'm right there mudding with you and not 5000 miles away. The music, I presume much of it Angelo's, the shots with the wildlife, how you approach a new find, and your excitement as the stem slowly keeps entering daylight for the first time since the owner threw it (or lost it) into the Thames. And the stories, just awesome! I hope your son rocks it and everyone has a great time.
I’m in America but wanted to thank you and all of the Mudlarks who take the extra time & effort to properly dispose of plastic waste found during your adventures. Every piece matters ✌️💚
Agreed! I don’t understand how anyone can litter anywhere. It’s so irresponsible and I appreciate your efforts to clean up the Thames! I never allowed my children to throw even the tiniest bit of garbage out the car window. Again, thanks Nikola and other mudlarkers for helping and being responsible!!! 🙂🙂
@Dish Murphy I totally agree with you. Every piece does matter for the beautiful wildlife who are so innocent when it comes to some human errors. And every now and then they have a massive clean up with the River Trust.
When the world seems mad and not much makes sense we have the lovely muddler Nicola to make us smile with her little treasures, taking us out for an hour or so to test our eyesight and teach us some history. Hugs xxxx

I love these moments with her on the shore. xoxo
Haven't watched this till the end yet, but I wanted to say that your videos have helped me a lot as I'm currently mostly housebound due to a nasty combination of mental health issues and the pandemic. I watch these and paint and for a while everything is okay. Thank you.
I used to live in London and was just talking to my brother in law, who currently lives there, about how much I love Putney and the rowers. So nice to see it again!

Good to see you, Nicola! What a fun collab with Tobias and Lucasz, thanks for sharing some of their amazing treasures with us. Wish I could be rocking out to Collateral in person, that would be a blast! :-)

I have an interest in edged weapons, seeing that beautiful Bronze Age spear head in such incredible condition was amazing, the technical skills they had over three thousand years ago are a testament to human abilities when you think that was made with the most basic technology; clay, charcoal and knowledge that was passed from master to apprentice.
By the time you reached the 4th pair of glasses, I was laughing! The pipe stem with the metal band is beautiful. The extraordinary ancient pieces from Lucas - they were truly amazing finds! Thankyou so much Nicola!

Hi Rockin Momma Nicola ,good to see you back in your element of Thames mud. I wish I were in Faversham this evening to witness your performance, don't forget we talked about you ,your son and his band performing on or beside the mud someday BTW got a new favourite singer Anne Reburn she does a lot of covers of old pop faves ,singing with mutiple iterations of her self in harmony sometimes acapella sometimes self accompanied. She hasnt usurped my # 1 fave gal singer after Debbie Harry ,Morgan James. Now you with your multiple talents are still by far my fave You tube lady XXX PS must also talk about "type" sometime as my grandpa was a Post Master in my early days but also had a printing business in a small Devon village who printed everything from business cards to Farm sales in sections to be posted on hoardings his works were a miraculous place to play and learn how to spell ...backwards LOL
Brilliant video Nic!! 5 pairs of sunglasses will come in handy when the sun comes out again! The Peter Storm badge I think is from the Peter Storm wet weather clothing company (or whatever its called). I've seen coats with 'Peter Storm' embroidered on the sleeve in the past. Also loved the Thomas Becket pilgrim badge and relic holders. The River Thames is so generous in giving up her finds ... there's always something fascinating appears, but we should all feel ashamed at the rubbish we just 'chuck away'.
Hi Nicola, just another one of your wonderfully put-together videos! It’s so nice to see the wildlife intros you do. And I had thought that the Thames was not as polluted as so many other waterways, but this video showed that not to be the case. And I’m sure the general population of London would not have a clue that you take a lot of it away with you….God bless you. So many clumsy visitors losing their sunglasses. You could startup your own stall with that lot! I think Tobias has a crush on you to give you all his locks….either that of he’s sighing with relief that someone else will take them off his hands. It was lovely to see him and his friend and all their wonderful finds, some of which were AMAZING! That Bronze Age spear head was in such good condition, wow! Thank you for sharing ! metal pipe stems what ever next interesting my family tree goes back to 1270 pilgrims and settlers who went to new haven USA so good to see the badge, shame about modern day rubbish in our rivers today. Nice one Nicola.
Hello, the finds on the video are just marvellous. I was thinking a lot of what you could do with the padlocks you got from Tobias. So, what about to create faces! The keyhole could be used to hang up the padsmilefaces. On the other side, it all depends on the look, you ingrave two eyes eventually with some inlays, a nose, and the mouth, always smiling, is of course - the lock. With the imagination you have, those rusty old padlocks may turn into jewellery. Have fun!
I love your pipe collection, I like to picture someone sitting in a chair by the fire so many years ago puffing on their pipe. Can I see a sunglasses boutique in the future?

Halllooo Nicola from Germany!! I love watching your videos at all times, they bring me peace and excitement at the same time . I so wish to someday be able to mudlark somewhere as well and to find some amazing pieces of history. But on another note,.... I always get sad when you throw away broke off pipe stems. I think you could make one of your astonishing pieces of art out of them. Maybe not a fish but a big pipe on drift wood out of lots of broken pipe stems. That way they will get saved as the history piece of old age they are and become meaning again. Being artsy is awesome 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Enjoyed the tour with my favourite mudlarkers, I would love to come over to London in September, actually I have two weeks of from 17th! Rock well tonight Nicola!

With the imagination you have, those rusty old padlocks may turn into jewellery.
Have fun!
Thanks Joel! I like you suggestions! Nicola
Wow plenty of Sunglasses Nicola. Reminded me of the Tracy Ullman song. Sunglasses lol. Great Vlog as always.
I love your pipe collection, I like to picture someone sitting in a chair by the fire so many years ago puffing on their pipe.
Can I see a sunglasses boutique in the future?
The thing I like most about Nicola is that her glasses rack is always half full!
Wow today less of pipes n more of sunglasses. And I love that Indian 1 rupee coin . It's till in use ( 2004 mint) .

Enjoy

Thank you for sharing! It's soothing and relaxing to see and hear you out and about, finding cool things and hanging out with the wildlife (no, not Tobias and Lukasz!). But it's also beautiful to see London in the sunshine!
Wonderful video Nicola! I had to laugh at the sunglasses because I found my favourite pair in a river. I love Lukasz's collection, really amazing! Hope you had a fab night at your son's concert 🤘😀 x
Thanks Amanda! xx
I really enjoyed this video. I love the Thames and I am very lucky to have traveled the whole of the navigable river in various boats. I do miss it now that I live in Alberta. Thank you so much for your Videos. Andy.
Loved the Becket finds, Lucas is very lucky
Goodness I thought you were the pipe Queen now you're also the sunglass Queen lovely video many thanks😊
Enjoyed the tour with my favourite mudlarkers, I would love to come over to London in September, actually I have two weeks of from 17th! Rock well tonight Nicola!
As far as the locks go you might take some of them individually and put them in resin. To be gifts for your mudlarking friends. Thank You for the videos. 🌻
