Counterattacks depend on timing and movement to dodge your opponent's strikes. There are three main ways to counterattack:
    1. Simultaneous: Hit your opponent as they try to hit you. Use this to counter single punches or combos.
    2. Between punches: Spot moments when your opponent's guard drops during a combo and strike when they're open.
    3. Post-attack: Strike right after blocking your opponent's punch or combo.
    To fight against counter punchers:
    1. Use feints: Trick them into countering early, then counter their counter. This throws off their timing and creates openings for you.
    2. Stay relaxed: Act relaxed to make them think you're not a threat. Then, strike quickly when they least expect it.
Practice these techniques shown in the video to improve your counter punches and make your opponents think twice before attacking you.

1:19 i didn't know i could time my opponent dropping a shot in that way, seems like soviet-cuban style of counter to me that one! Similar to the cuban check hook! Defenetelly will use it when i am against the ropes to go to my left (i'm a sowthpaw). I study both cuban fighters and eastern european fighters, they got much mobility in their game and that suits me as an outboxer, much appreciated Andrii, learning a ton from your clips!

Yes, it’s a great move that you can turn into beautiful counters. You can also throw hooks to the body and uppercuts with the side steps
      Thx for the feedback 🙌

To be fair I’ve learned more from you thank from our casual trainers. You go into much more detail than them. I actually learned proper sidestep with an uppercut just by watching you perform it. For some reason none of my trainers ever told me to keep elbow closer to the body to get a good angle. I was always confused how Tyson was doing it because when I would try the angle my hand just wouldn’t align well enough to get a hit on the chin.
    Helped me during sparring 😅
