I'm sure I heard them say in an interview a while back that Come Around Sundown was their worst album they'd made which is probably why they don't play many of the songs.
Lee Robson yeah, it's not one of their best albums. Last time I saw them, they only played three songs of this album. One of them was Mary and I think that PickUp Truck is way better.
I think Caleb's voice is what made them huge. He stopped mumbling and mangling his words (which made he seem all indie and garage) and started singing words people can identify, and maybe more importantly, identify with. But yes, to be fair, Jared is a beast on that bass.
Come around sundown is the only album i can listen to over and over again without getting bored.. such an amazing band its actually unbelievable. and the fact that the album sounds near enough live makes it even better!!
this song gives me goosebumps, and i still love this song, it remembers the good and the bad times in relationships, and it tells how all men been once been deperate and feel mightless at some time.. knowing that they would give their life for her :)
+Luuk Smit actually the song is not about love, when caleb wrote it he was sitting at a campfire("crackling woods gone white), it's kinda about feeling manly, having a fight things like that;)

Man, I really like these guys. There musical progression was clearly influenced by the time they spent touring with U2 back in 05-06. There current music still reflects their roots, but layered with atmospheric textures Clearly reflecting the internal conflicts within individual band members and the group as a whole. Brooding, aggressive, reflective, angst driven, these guys are the real deal. Unabashed rock stars who some may say have sold out and several tracks from 08's Only By The Night
Pick up a guitar! I was dogshit bad when i picked one up at 13, desperate to learn even just 1 of their songs, now i can play more or less all of them perfectly just cos i kept doing it. it's beyond enjoyably to be able to sit in a dark room with headphones on and play along to these songs or any you love, never stop you wont regret it no matter how frustrating it gets :D
This band had it all. Looks, lyrics, energy, talent, sound. They were on top , the world loved these gentlemen from Tennessee. I was so let down when they started cancelling shows, pulling out or watching Caleb's talent, and voice get slurred, too lit too perform. If they can make a come back, I'd be the greatest fan ever. This was thee band on the rise, and the nation loved them.
Very rarely do you come across a band where all the members are a massive part of the band individually! Each of them brings something amazing to the band, whether it’s Jared’s groovy bass or Caleb’s undeniably unique voice! KoL will forever be one of my favourite bands and this is without a doubt a hidden gem of a song!
have been in a one sided relationship that you thought was true would be enough to understand this one maybe it even was true but she choose something or someone else anyway and you know she loves you really but you arent enough for her for whatever reason usually material
Kings of Leon- 50 Jahre früher und sie wären für alle Zeiten die Kings der Musikgeschichte, mit Sicherheit jedoch eine der besten Band`s aller Zeiten und aktuell wohl mit Abstand die beste !!!
Without that bassist i seriously dont think they would have gotten as big as they have. Dont get me wrong they are all exelent musicians. People underestimate the value of a bassline in a song.
Adam Cornish I know, I wish they would play it more!!! It is a great song. They are the same with the face, they never play it live but it's one of their best!!
What's cool about the bass player, Jared, is that when his brothers wanted to form the band, he didn't even know how to play bass. He taught himself really quick so he could be apart of it.
I don't give a damn what anyone says, that's one of their greatest songs ever.
This has got to be their most underrated song.
Been saying the same
Real talk though this song means a lot to me I think we've all been there lyrically wise
Coming Back Again and Pistol of Fire.
Agreed. This has always been my favorite.
Beyond true
I wish they played this song at every single concert! So powerful. It's my favorite
Saw those guys three times and they never played it :'(
Same ;/ Amazing show but not much Come Around Sundown
My top 3 song. Dont get why they dont play it
I'm sure I heard them say in an interview a while back that Come Around Sundown was their worst album they'd made which is probably why they don't play many of the songs.

Unpopular opinion, but this IS THE BEST of KoL
So underrated! An obscure gem!
+Igor Wright hahaha kings of leon are one of the biggest bands this decade.
+Foolish Knight Yeah but Pickup Truck never went to be recognized by the great public. An amazing song!
+Igor Wright 100 percent agree
only true KOL fans know how good this is, and Come Around Sundown for that matter
@@caolanoh1 hands down the band’s best album EVER.
Matt's crying guitar riffs, Jared's badass bass lines, Nate's amazing drum beats and Caleb's incomparable vocals, truly exceptional, this band!!! :)
I wish they had kept it together. Alcohol usage wrecked this phenomenal band. The world loved these guys
@@laurelwood791saw them in june for a second time .. they was fucking awesome
I think Caleb's voice is what made them huge. He stopped mumbling and mangling his words (which made he seem all indie and garage) and started singing words people can identify, and maybe more importantly, identify with. But yes, to be fair, Jared is a beast on that bass.
They're all very talented
I can’t believe they don’t play this song live. Their best song in my opinion
Sometimes our favorite artists can't play their best songs, because, they hurt. I don't know how Caleb wrote this song, but it seems like it hurt.
Played at both nights in Auckland 2022
These folks watching live are experiencing something really special
Had our first dance to this song at our wedding, Feb 2015. By far and away their most underrated song. Would love to see them do this live.
Wow, that is a total dream of mine. Did you slow dance?
Awesome!!!!
Come around sundown is the only album i can listen to over and over again without getting bored.. such an amazing band its actually unbelievable. and the fact that the album sounds near enough live makes it even better!!

Goosebumps never lie.
this song is a sunrise on a dark start in my life. thank you.
I’m just hearing this song for the first time today in June 2024. I bow my head in shame.
😂 it’s awesome.
caleb's voice is everything
bllonnd frank x kol collab
RYAN COKE literally my 2 favorite artists, that would be amazing
This is the most emotional song ever!!!
OBSESSED with his voice
I keep reading "Live @ Ravioli Ballroom" lol
his voice is so freakin soulful. He just knocks me on my ass every time. Damn i love this band
they're our generation's Rolling Stones. i really don't understand how anyone could not like this band.
In the music of today’s times, these guys are so under appreciated and it’s a fucking sin.
Yes !! I could not agree more!!!
Am I man or is this is one of their best songs?
I listen to this for the drum part towards the end at, "in the moon light I thrown him down"
Beautiful
Man me too! I keep coming back here just to listen to this part
holy shit what a tune. such a great band I was a complete hip hop head until I heard kol real fucking music.
KIngs + morning = Good day :)
The most underrated song of all time not only for Kings of Leon, but artists in general
One of my absolute favourite songs ever. Just perfection.

Amazing song and performance! Come Around Sundown such an underrated album
So grateful they played this live in Melbourne a couple years back, cheers KOL
Timeless. Still playing LOUD in 2020!!
This is my favourite KOL song absolute genius from the lyrics to the music KOL masterpiece
These songs don't make me want to just close my eyes and listen instead they make me want to get up and live my life to the fullest.
Makes me feel so hurt that I can't sing or play for shit. Why would I be cursed with an extreme love for music with no abilities to make it?
Start the gene. Who knows maybe generations from now you might have created the best artist.
Agree...

Practice
You start playing yet? Pretty easy, you should if you haven't ;)
I actually think this album is underrated :( sadly but i'm just glad and proud I know about The Kings of Leon!
OH MY SWEET GOD! I love this song. I love you KOL, you'll forever be the greatest band in my heart!
This band had it all. Looks, lyrics, energy, talent, sound. They were on top , the world loved these gentlemen from Tennessee. Huh? Are even paying attention wtf?
@@LoVeAmBiEnTcant be on the same planet as us... saw them a month ago and they was fucking fantastic

KOL has many awesome songs but this one is my all time fave. :) Hauntingly beautiful!!
Would have loved to be there and hear their rarely and never-played-live songs! Mesmerizing.
Listening to this song makes me feel like I had sex, was impregnated, gave birth, raised a son, died, then went to heaven.
+Hugo Escobar absolutely the best descriptive I've heard for any song, ever.
have been in a one sided relationship that you thought was true would be enough to understand this one maybe it even was true but she choose something or someone else anyway and you know she loves you really but you arent enough for her for whatever reason usually material
His voice is such a paradise. But in this song, Caleb just let us know that heaven might exists...
Love this song so much. Remember my early twenties!
Same here :)
Caleb' s voice is outstanding, there are no words to describe it...
Nathan is a beast on this tune a,MAZING
Maybe not word for word, but we've all felt this way.
What an amazing video and song.
underrated
Totally agree, it’s their best song

Adam Cornish ikr!! and this one is on my top 5 for sure
Going in August 2024 - Seattle … can’t effin WAIT!
Enjoy!
Hi from Sydney Australia 🍻
I pray their new album is as good as this one is. And riddled with songs like this. This and Pyro; BEST SONGS ON THE ALBUM
Its so much easier when you know what you are born to do. KOL were born for this and thats why they are freakingly good.
I would marry this bass line
one of my many favs! EVERY FUCKING SONG THEY HAVE ~ I LOVE! even i dont know how that is, but its true.. never had such love for a band in my life!
my favorite part: 4:26
that roll
I keep coming here just for that drums!! I wonder why he does not play like these in the original version...
Tchiêlo Lisboa Camboim Me too! Sounds so awesome. This and also the cymbal choke he does in The Immortals from this same show!
100% yes - simple but perfect
Damn I wish that was on the studio track
This song blows my fucking mind every time i hear it....just awesome!
JustMe1117 You blow my fucking mind
The drums at 4:26 blows my soul everytime
I love love love this song. It is the ultimate hillbilly love song.
love the drums when caleb last sings " and int he moonlight i brought him down" class. Wish it was in the album
So glad they slowed it down a little bit for the album. Sounds so much more raw that way.
this is their best friken song. this and Closer
why wasn’t this a hit ?!
one of my top 3 kol songs...this , true love way and arizona
Just absolute perfection musically
True talent....
Underrated KOL song in my view.
"Hate to be so emotional" What a great lyric!!!
still in love with this song and the lyrics.. Wow.
One of the most over hated .. under rated bands of all time
Fav kings song for a long time. Absolutely brilliant !
Such and underrated song. Wish they had a video for it and more live videos too
Listened to that just that part so many times! Love it!
You are my KINGS ..! Just perfect ...
So you know I was thinking of you.. Always am Gina with endless love M...
A great lead guitar player
Best live performance I've ever hea4d
One of their best!!!! 🏴
My favorite song ❤
What's cool about the bass player, Jared, is that when his brothers wanted to form the band, he didn't even know how to play bass. He taught himself really quick so he could be apart of it.
And BeachSide? the entire album concept is in that song! I love it!
People that say underrated are weak.
It's funny to think Borat talking about Kings Of Leon! NIIIIIIIIICE!
Just fucking love this song 😍
Amazing !!!! Caleb Followill is simply amazing, too amazing lol
One of my all time faves
the best song.................................
I've never seen them play this live. I love this so. much.
Kicking screaming rolling around !....

My freaking favorite KOL song.
He sings way better live then on CD, didn't even think that was possible!
1000% agreed!! Like how do u do that lol!
Those drums at 4:26. Perfection.
up there as one of my favorite kings songs. need more videos of it!!
I think his bass was amazing during all of Come Around Sundown. Especially The Face, The Immortals and The End
