Didn’t talk bad about no coach, GM or player, took ownership of his faults, has taken accountability for past transgressions and had found inner peace through all the successes, failures and short comings... Steve would be (and I’m sure he is) proud of you VY. 🤘🏽
Coach was a dick tho... And GM. He could have said it and many would agree. I lived i. Nashville while he was there... And it was frustrating to watch... And he went deep into playoffs despite Fishers poor use of him. Vince is greater because of that, only a few can see it tho
Growing up in TX 3 years behind Vince, he was definitely one of my heroes. Him, Cedric Benson, Roy Williams, Griffin twins....etc. Them cats was my introduction to college football and I cherish the memories they gave me!
Lol me too dawg, yo 4:46 Vince and Reggie McNeal was supposed to be the big rivalry, Texas vs A&M, they was the top QBs in Texas those years. Dave Campbell magazine actually had McNeal 1st Team QB and had Young as 1st Team ATH on their preseason list their senior year in high school. Crazy how so into Texas high school football I was as a kid lol, ive been living in NYC past 10 years, i haven't kept up with Texas HS ball in forever. I was trippin when i heard Texas has Class 6A now
The amount of pro players that was on that field that night in the Rose Bowl was crazy & maybe if Vince Young didn't have Jeff Fisher as the head coach he might have had a better career to start out with
For sure. I learned later that texans didn't get him due to some petty shit between the owners and GMs. Fisher didn't even want him. Fisher was upset at the choice. He didn't fit into any of fishers plans. Terrible.
I remember running into him at the airport as a kid and he was so nice. We were so star struck, we couldn't even utter any words out our mouth. Good times!
This man was definitely way, way, WAYYY Ahead of his time, I remember in school one of my old classmates used to try to be like him because when WE had Recess WE used to play football... I personally believe if he was to play in today’s game he probably would’ve been one of the Elites... P.S Isn’t funny how He beat Matt Leinart twice, Once in the BCS & On that Titan drive🤣🤣🤣 (Sorry I had to bring it up USC Fans, Don’t hate me I’m not a Texas just stating facts) To anybody that’s watching this I wanna remember y’all something, Keep Going & Be Safe 🤟🏾💯
I’m sure Vince’s immaturity played a role in how it all went down. But ultimately, I think the lion’s share of the blame was a lack of commitment or desire by Jeff Fisher to have him as his guy. No sentient human who saw him play at Texas could think he wouldn’t have come around with the *right* head coach.
I hated the Houston Texans for not drafting Vince Young. His career would’ve been completely different. Drafting Watson made up for a lot but at the time, it was known Texans didn’t want black QBs
They didn't mention how the owner of The Titans drafted Vince. JUST to spite the owner of Texans. Coach Fisher didn't want him or have a system for that kind of qb. That's why they immediately tried to make him a pocket qb. But Vince did his best work out the pocket... Scrambling. He was the best scrambler since Cunningham. Coach Fischer hated Vince. I lived in Nashville at the time and hated the Titans for destroying the best college QBs career ever!
Chris Thomas That’s 1000% true. If Vince was around now where being a mobile QB is more accepted, I have no doubt he would’ve been an all-pro. Fisher ruined that man’s career. He wasnt perfect by any means, but it all rooted in Fisher’s treatment towards him.
my best memory is him bustin their ass everytime they played Tenn & VY was QB .... I was even at the OT game.... It was a silent death march out that stadium that day. They missed a big opportunity at least in selling jerseys and showing they stand behind a Houston legend.

I remember running into him at the airport as a kid and he was so nice. We were so star struck, we couldn't even utter any words out our mouth. Good times!
Vince grew up in Texas and brought the biggest championship to our state. He brought it. Period!!
Vince was a bad man on that field 😈
Texas vs Michigan and Texas vs USC two of the best games of all time.
Vince a real good dude. Propain had the album release years ago and he showed love to every single person like they were just as popping. salute my G

2KGrind09 facts!
@@christafarism Vince was nice, but Vick was the best scrambler since Cunningham hands down.
Greatest football game I've seen with my own eyes
