my favorite moment was the time he went up to this guy on vacation who was wearing a Wilfork Patriots jersey and told him he was Vince Wolfork. Dude didn't even recognize him!
I met Vince and Bianca at a restaurant in 2014 before mini camp. My group was seated at a table within 15-20 ft of them. He must’ve sensed my excitement as a Bostonian and lifelong Pats fan. Not wanting to be a pest I didn’t approach them. While walking back from the bathroom (to call my brother and tell him I was next to one of our hero’s) I heard ‘Big man!’. I knew it was him before I turned to look. He and Bianca are beyond personable. They chatted with me and my girl as if they were our new neighbors. I went on to learn he lived not far from my grandmother. He is literally the most down to earth, humble dude ever with an almost childish love for life. I will always be a fan of the man off the field more than on it since then. Not only due to that night, because of how he conducted himself as a ‘celeb’. I didn’t need a picture or an autograph, that conversation was all I needed. My better half and I had met someone we watched for a decade every NFL Sunday. Our group of friends (mostly from other parts of the country) weren’t as in touch with him until after the night. It’s hard to get together with friends as much once people settle down and have kids/careers but no one at our table will ever forget that night. The craziest part about it, I’m not even sure Vince would remember it, I have a feeling he made a lot of peoples day throughout his life.

Vince def one of the most underrated players of the last decade, as a nose tackle your job is to take up as much space as possible to make it easier for your teammates and Vince did that better than anyone as a nose tackle. Although he didn’t make all the big plays his space and double teams he created due to his size helped the patriots defense a ton and he was a huge part of those teams
Most people would do anything to meet guys like Brady or LeBron. I love nothing more than to go fishing, or whatever, with a guy like this and just listen to him talk. He's the inspiration we should all strive to be like.
I met Vince Wilfork at a Stop and Shop grocery store in a suburb of Boston called Franklin. I met other Boston athletes like Mookie Betts of the Red Sox and Kevin McHale when I was 14 playing at his basketball camp. Betts and McHale acted like they didn't want to be bothered by me. Vince Wlfork was the nicest guy I ever met. He actually stood and talked with me about our kids and family for like 10 minutes. Just an awesome guy. I'm a big Patriots fan and he was loved by all of Patriot Nation.
I had no idea wow...the guy was always smiling. My hubby is a patriots fan (I'm a Dallas fan) so I only saw him on the games we watched. Every play I saw him smiling. Dang I wish I could smile through pain like that!
I lost my mom, and had a hard time with it. I still miss her everyday, but people like Vince Wilfork give you a person to look up to when you endure these types of painful losses. He’s really inspired me. I wish I could properly thank that man
I’m from New England and obviously a Pats fan. I was fortunate enough to see Vince Wilfork play live 4x, & y’all know how it is seeing sports live vs on TV. Ya get a true appreciation for the speed of the game & the athleticism of players the size of Vince. It’s unreal. He really was a unique talent. Great video.
The clips of him in highschool they showed. Where he is just bodying poor 160lbs running backs and qb's. It's like damn you can tell it hurt cuz they don't pop up very fast I think you gotta make a buisness decision and sit that game out if you saw it on the schedule.
I have a picture of him when we were 7years old playing flag football at Lake Lytal in the Championship game. He was qb for the Hurricanea Nd I was QB for the Vols.
What a great all around dude, love to hear stories like these. I just lost my mom suddenly last year.. and I can’t imagine how tough of a time he had losing both of his parents while in college. He truly is an inspiration.
My roommate at the University of Michigan had to take pre med classes over in order to have a serious shot at being accepted to medical school. Needless to say, he gained admission to medical school. I considered becoming a medical doctor, but opted for a Juris Doctorate and practicing law. You can do it. Don't let anyone or anything keep you from achieving your goals.

Vince and JJ talking about food during practice is one of his best moments. Good thing those two played in Texas because some restaurants across the country would’ve ran out of food if they saw them at the door!

Vince lives in the same town I went to highschool in, dude is the nicest, funniest guy i've ever met and hes an absolute legend on the field, as always incredible video flem
Vince is a truly sincere and inspirational human being. Heart of gold is a understatement
I wish I could properly thank that man
Never really knew much about Vince wilfork, glad flemlo posted this now I really like him.
Vince Wilfork was so fast for a defensive tackle. The type of angles he took to the running back. He would catch up to them anytime they slowed down.
The clips of him in highschool they showed. Where he is just bodying poor 160lbs running backs and qb's. It's like damn you can tell it hurt cuz they don't pop up very fast I think you gotta make a buisness decision and sit that game out if you saw it on the schedule.
Love the Positive Message, WE all NEED it! Thank you FlemLo Raps
I have a picture of him when we were 7years old playing flag football at Lake Lytal in the Championship game. He was qb for the Hurricanea Nd I was QB for the Vols.
QB?😲
What a great all around dude, love to hear stories like these. I just lost my mom suddenly last year.. and I can’t imagine how tough of a time he had losing both of his parents while in college. He truly is an inspiration.
As someone who is struggling to reapply to medical school these videos definitely get me hyped. Thank you Flemlo!
Went through the same struggle getting my doctorate, keep your head up and just better yourself each day. You will get in one day bro!
Vince wilfork is my all time favorite player thank you for making this video
I met Vince wilfork when I was 6 he is the perfect example of a gentle giant
One of my favourite players of all-time. One of those rare players who force us to redefine our (sometimes limited) notions of athleticism.
As a bolts fan his INT against us was one of the few "not even mad" INT's Rivers threw
Phillip Rivers😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
crazy how I really don’t care about football BUT this channel makes stories within the sport really interesting, skys the limit bro you really have gift.
Vince wilfork to me was the defensive version of larry allen both were insanely athletic for there size to where we got extremely memorable moments from both
Larry Allen’s tackle after the interception against the Saints. That boy was movin !
Wonderful vid as always. I'll always remember Vince selling Super chickens as a Big Y spokesman
This was the video I’ve been waiting for, favorite player as a kid and now
He's definitely a special human being! So strong mentally and physical to go through losing his great parents when he was going to start his career very soon, what a player he was,I think he should be a Hall of Famer, not sure if he has been on the list yet
Stories like this always bring a tear to an eye, love a genuine great person always trying to make others smile while they themselves are struggling
This improved my day considerably. Thanks, man.
Vince and JJ talking about food during practice is one of his best moments. Good thing those two played in Texas because some restaurants across the country would’ve ran out of food if they saw them at the door!
Killens BBQ the spot they ate on that episode still has the best bbq out here
Vince Wilfork is an AMAZING person!!! Thank you for this video!!!! I grew up at patriot fan and watched Vince from start to finish. He is the epitome of a hero
All the holding calls on the opposing team of Vince
Just actually wanted to give him a hug
Man is an inspiration. Truly makes me want to be a "go getter"
This video brought me to tears and instantly made me a fan of Vince. Thank you.
I don’t care if nobody sees this comment, but I have to say this one if the best videos you have ever done and that’s saying a lot. Made my day. Thanks.
Love your work. Cryed 2 times during this video.....
FlemLo does it again ! Dude is a gifted storyteller !!
He always seemed like a good, decent man. I love the Bills but I respect this man 100%.
I loved video Vince Wilfork and was so sad to see him leave the Pats. I still rock my 75 jersey
An excellent video. Thank you, sir. You did Vince proud.
To think he lost his parents and Sean Taylor who was his teammate and probably friend also died tragically man was put through so much
Vince is one of my favorite patriot. A gentle giant. A great teammate. A great human. And a dominating force.
All I remember is, one, he was good, and two, when somebody dissed his wife, Vince was smart enough to not crush the dudes skull.
This is your best video yet. Great job!
Dude was a genuinely incredible athlete
Thank you for a good story. Too many have bad endings. I needed a good story
This is the only channel that I actually look forward to the notification.
Thanks for telling the story of Vince, its so good to hear about a man who had every reason to self destruct but didn't. Like you said he's just a good dude and he deserves to have a long and happy life. Thanks again for an uplifting story.
Another banger! Giving content we didn’t know we needed
Bro I love Vince so much. I was so sad when he retired. I hope his life is filled with nothing but happiness to his final days
Mannnn, I almost shed a tear on this one.
I've got to say that as a teacher, a writer, a teacher of writing and all the other implied positions not directly stated on the paychecks I sign to survive and provide: I love this channel. I've been watching, when I can, for a good bit and the production is on time. There's a lot of love in these videos and love is in shortage. Always. I just want to say, Thank you. As a sports fan who can rarely watch sports, but tries to read the box scores; and as a man who's more interested in the human story, you supply the humanity. Often, you push it to the forefront where it belongs. At 52, I'm not going to get a tryout but I might just be more inspired to help someone get their equivalent. Thanks!
