The first thing I saw of her was her face. Not the legs.
She inspires me, showing me what is possible. Incredible lady, thank you.

Zero pity. Pain for the trauma you've had to endure, but complete admiration for a powerful human. Beautiful. 🎉❤

A strong, brave, and beautiful young woman.
A generous, amazing, and open hearted mother.
I have a great deal of respect for both of these women. Thank you, sincerely, for sharing this story. ❤️

Truly heartbreaking the depth of the trauma Oksana had to endure in this disgusting and disturbing brothel disguised as an orphanage. Oh those poor babies, truly hurts my heart. Incredible story of tragedy, love, healing, and triumph. Thank you so much for bringing this beautiful story and humans into the world.

This woman is far-by the most amazing one to have overcome all the hardships that she has experienced in her life. She is also definitely the top-notch most inspirational female in regards to what hardships in life truly are like the ones that she unfortunately experienced, but yet she went the extra mile and worked her way up to the US Paralympics from Adaptive Rowing to Biking and then Nordic Cross Country Skiing!!! I just finished reading her autobiography The Hard Parts as of last week and was touched so much by it in all of the past ten years of both hearing and knowing all what I know about her.🙂😉😓😢😥😞 Oksana, you are a truly amazing inspiration and role model for me and make feel very proud of you and all of your accomplishments that you have made as well as give me the confidence to not let any disappointments and shortcomings in life drag me down much less give up or lose hope after all that I have been through in my life dealing with Tourette Syndrome and High-functioning Autism, love you forever always, God bless you and hope to hear back from you eventually despite writing to you nine years ago, but I'm still praying!!!!😍 ❤ 😘 ♥ 💖 💕 As for you Ms. Gay Masters, you are an absolute humble and sincere woman to have went out of your way to adopt Oksana and bring her back to the US so that she could have a Mother as caring and loving like you as well as give her a whole new and way better life her regardless of her unfortunate circumstances between Tibial Hemimelia and becoming a prosthetic above-the-knee-amputee, you are true spirit, may the Lord bless you always ma'am!!!!!🙏 😊 ❤ ♥ 💖

I just watched you win another gold medal today. Congrats. The announcer said to go and find your story. Ive found 2. I am so happy that I did. The first thing I saw when I saw you was your smile. You have a beautiful smile and it shines even more when you speak of your mom. Keep that smile!!! Good luck in your future and thanks for sharing your story. My hope is that young girls and women never have to suffer but if they do I hope someone tells them of Oksana Masters!!!

exactly Oksana , i got so fed up with people saying the same stupid comment that i rather them just shut it and not say anything, when others commonly say "you are strong, you can fight and beat this" and exactly what you said , I am not strong , i am just living this life, and i personally do not call this living my life, i call it suffering my existence. showing up in a world i did not harm but harms me that i had no say in my existence if i even wanted to or not, and then forced to make a choice of who i want to be when i do not even know enough of all there is to even make an accurate assessment to know what and who to be and how much time do i have. why does this world want me dead, why am i being shut out of the kingdom if you will and forced to be a slave. what is wrong with some folk???!

It breaks my heart to hear Oksana say her childhood was so ugly. That ugly childhood made her special today. It wasn’t ugly it was amazing.

A person can't just turn bad memories into good. They can only accept that. So don't practice gaslighting, saying that all the bad stuff was "amazing".

being raped daily from ages 5-7 was good? she has the right to hate her childhood.
