I watch this video at least once a month. Easily the best cast net tutorial on RUclips. Captain Mike, you're a great teacher. I'm throwing consistent (5 out of 6 throws) pancakes now thanks to you!
Outstanding videos! Many years of cast net frustration with tacos, tangles and taboo language! Im 61 and I just threw three consistent pancakes in the front yard with the triple load. So happy right now! Cant wait to get to the mullet run going now in North Carolina! Thank you so much! Ken

I’m ready for the water this summer, and, I found your 2 tutorial videos, and honestly, I get a 8’ net, my neighbor said that I’m crazy!! But I became a pro!!! That pancake is completely open!!! Toke me one week practicing for one hour a day!!! Now I’m teaching my best friend, he also has a boat, and loves this system to learn, thank you so much for be a good teacher, I’m never going to be better than my father, but now I can said that I learn how to throw fishing net!!! Thank you so much Captain Mike!!!👍
Hi Captain Mike, First, many thanks for sharing all your knowledge in recent videos on throwing a cast net. I do mostly inshore fishing and have watched your videos with great interest. I would rate them a number 10 !!!!!!! I have never thrown a cast but you really make it look easy. I am 73, live in the Tampa Bay Area, I am about 5'5 and have a couple of caps on my front teeth that I don't want to loose so putting the net in my mouth is not an option for me. You are the first I have seen that shows many options and also shows throwing different sized cast nets. You are the Man !!!!!! I really enjoy your videos. John
You're a good guy mike, most fisherman are very secretive about techniques and you seem very genuine about teaching to others. These videos have been super helpful for myself and others I have shown them to. Keep up the great work.
Mike, a 6-meter-diameter net was recently sent from China. In the spring, I will learn to throw your videos. Now we have ice. Thank you very much for the lessons. It is really accessible, and the main thing is not to take the network in the teeth, which is not very desirable. Thank you, good Luck watching your videos. Alexey - Russia-Tver.
I want to say THANK YOU!!! I have watched video after video trying to learn to throw a net to catch bait. I finally can throw one and have it consistently open like it should by using your method. Thank you so much for explaining the steps. You are the man!!!!
Mike, you have the best channel for fishing on RUclips. Love the way you explain things for dummies like me! Im really excited watching you build your new boat!
Capt. Mike, great step by step presentation. I used to throw using the lead in mouth method. I really like this method of yours more. Now I need to get another bet to start throwing again. Thank you.
HI there again from NZ. Absolutely love the number plate! I commented on another video of yours. You are a natural teacher. After watching your casting seminar (yesterday) for the one handed method I now could see how easy it is to learn. I ordered a 2.4m/8ft casting net today. I will practice the one handed method first with this net and then try the 3 part EZ method next from this video. Thanks once again for making the time to shoot these very helpful videos.
Hey Capt Mike, love the channel. Easily the most informative, helpful channel for south Florida anglers. I have a question for you: is there some type of website you recommend for reading up on fishing reports before heading offshore? For those of us who don’t know a lot of other fisherman, it would be extremely helpful to have a news source so we can know what to target before heading offshore.
One hell of an instructor/fisherman! Your tutorials are by far the best on RUclips. Your making me a better fisherman with each video. Thx..iou a cocktail!
Great video...it's the one I've been waiting for. I learned how to cast an 8ft with your previous videos but had difficulty with a 10ft, especially since I'm only 5'5". This method seems very easy for 10 fters. Going to go try it out. Keep em coming!
Hey Capt Mike, just wanted to share my success in throwing the cast net. Went fishing today, went to get some sardines, pull up ur video again after the 1000s time, tried it out step by step, one throw, full livewell of sardines. Thank u, made my fishing experience even more awsome. Keep up the good work Capt!!!!!!
The best tutorials . Will be moving from a 4ft (AZ Limit) to a 7 Foot (Texas Limit) in 2 weeks and will be using this exact method . Thanks for the help!
Captain Mike! Just started fishing a few months ago and have been a subscriber ever since. Through your channel and tips I learned how to catch my own bait and even catch some game fish especially snook from the beach! (Don’t own a boat) thanks for the great content. P.S. still waiting on a red fish video!
After watching over 20 cast net tutorials in the last few days, this is easily the best one for me. I was out in the yard throwing pancakes from the very first throw.
Thanks so much I've learned how to throw from 1st video; The only thing is for me to go and try it, hopefully soon; I will let you know how it turned up to be. You're awesome, explaining and showing.
I only recently got into fishing a few months ago, even though I live in Florida and have bodies of water literally all around me. I want to say that your uploads are very informative, you take your time in explaining what you’re doing step by step, all your methods are effortless and easy to execute. Thank Captain! BTW, how do I become apart of that mullet run??
You make that look so easy I have a 10 bait net I’m gonna try this method with I have saved all your net throwing videos and practice in my yard and even get up on my boat and practice throwing as well. Thanks again Captain Mike🤙
I know im asking randomly but does anybody know a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost my account password. I would love any assistance you can give me
@Onyx Darwin thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Your method looks easy! I'll be giving it a try this shrimping season. I learned to throw with the line in my mouth but today it is unsanitary and possibly harmful! Thanks for an alternative! Great VIDEO!🤙🏽
Hi Capt Mike! Wow, You are a really good teacher. Cinematography is excellent. I live in St. Louis Area, but I enjoy the videos. I dream of in-shore fishing. Thanks for taking the time to make all these videos. I watch whenever you issue a new one! Keep up the good work.
Wifey Got me the 10ft juju from you bro. This video, first try, first time 10 ft, first time three piece suit, boom,,, it’s beautiful 🥞... I could not believe it, all I was missing was the guava syrup kid. I have been sabiki only 😂 😂all this time. Thanks for the extra swag by the way. Keep it up 👍 I see you working. --I am 6’1” 225 LBs -10ft multi 3/8, = sucka perf🤙 got a 5 ft too for the beach. Buckets, Net bags, stickers, sabikis and a book I read to my lil boy for bead time. Great value.
Hey Capt. Maybe you’ve spoke about in another video. But I’m wanting to learn how to find live bait from shore. I just drove to a couple spots in fort laudy, but I saw no bait. I figured some “corner” spots would hold them. But me maybe I didn’t see them or possible because the tide was outgoing.
Hello captain Mike I was just looking over the video how to load up the 3 piece fish net ,thank you for your videos we appreciate your time, and continue having the Blessings
If you throw with your right hand should you use the right hand to attach the cast net leader too? Excellent video learn a lot all the time. I do miss the boat and fishing videos.
Capt Mike very informative I’m 65 years old been throwing a ten foot cast net for bunker up here in Staten Island NY I been looking for a new method to throw this is much easier then the way I was doing it were is the video for the 10 and 12 foot method

Your video is the best I have seen and has really helped me learn how to throw the net. However I put all the net in my left hand and when I throw I am having a hard time with the left side not opening up. Any pointers on what is causing this issue?
Gr8 video Mike! Still don't have it yet but the throws are improving! The pinky hold in the end is key! Hold it a second to long and I can throw a perfect banana straight in front of me, and not enough, perfect banana! The net I'm attempting to get right is a 12, after a few tries that thing gets pretty heavy. You sent a note with your email I opened it and when I went back to it it was gone, a RUclips thing.
Thx for posting I tried your method and did a lot better than I did after watching other videos. I need more practice but my last throw tonight was almost there. Thanks for posting!
Cpt. Mike, Awesome video. I feel much more confident on the water now. I’m in the market for a bay boat and need to ask what kind of boat were you throwing off of in the video? Blue hull named TwistiGator. Thanks!

I have owned a 8’ Calusa net since 2009 but have never really got bait with it because I don’t mind buying it, however more times then not bait stores never have bait fish just shrimp. Here’s my stupid question for the day. I am concerned that my lead line will jack up the deck of my boat, is this a real concern? I have a new Redfisher18 ( our second one ) and wish to keep it pristine.
hi mike, I am a lefty and I am having trouble keeping the net on my right shoulder. it rolls off. I cannot get to the 2nd part of the triple load, can you help me.

I have no trouble with the 7ft net. my problem is with the triple load method. I watch you at least six to seven times a day with the triple load. I have trouble keeping it on my right shoulder. what can I do to keep it on my shoulder without it falling off?
Very easy tutorial, had a 6’ that weight ~5lb I can easily throw with 1 hand, but bought a new 7’, weight almost double ~10lbs cant throw with 1 hand, 2nd method was super easy to follow. Im 5’7, 150lbs, go to gym occasionally

Always come back to your three way method to review and practice before going fishing. Tight lines!
From Bradenton, Florida 🎉
Your method looks easy! I'll be giving it a try this shrimping season. I learned to throw with the line in my mouth but today it is unsanitary and possibly harmful! Thanks for an alternative! Great VIDEO!🤙🏽
it always has been.. but people barely started being concerned about it.. you won’t even get corona from a cast net.. but you can get far worse 🤣

I was paying silly money buying bait before I saw these videos. Now I catch a lot more fish using bait from my fishing sites. Thanks and tight lines.
Can you do a video over proper care of the cast net? How to clean it best (especially after a christmas tree) and how to store it.
Just found this channel. New favorite!!!

Still the best method I have seen. Thanks!
The best instruction on all of RUclips. Thanks!
Does the style of net (skirt or panel) make any difference in the throwing of the net?
Your video is the best I have seen and has really helped me learn how to throw the net. However I put all the net in my left hand and when I throw I am having a hard time with the left side not opening up. Any pointers on what is causing this issue?
I live in boynton. Do you know if there’s a workshop of sorts to teach this? I’m having trouble getting it to open
In winter you can catch fish with the cast net?
I bought the same bait tub u use. I love that things. Works great.
Gr8 video Mike! Still don't have it yet but the throws are improving! The pinky hold in the end is key! You Explain the Method very well
Thank you for sharing....
Capt. Mike love your channel, thank you for your lesson how to throw cast net, people support his channel that's the least thing you can do.
Thx for posting I tried your method and did a lot better than I did after watching other videos. I need more practice but my last throw tonight was almost there. Thanks for posting!
Thanks capt been using this method for the cast net. It opens perfect every time.
Excelente tener un maestro como usted Mike!! Saludos desde La Baja Sur Mexico.
Cpt. Mike, Awesome video. I feel much more confident on the water now. I’m in the market for a bay boat and need to ask what kind of boat were you throwing off of in the video? Blue hull named TwistiGator. Thanks!
21’ egret mocasín
Thanks for the solid tips Capt.!
Thank you ,that looks like a great way to throw a cast net
I like the first method you showed for the reasons you mentioned staying dry and one hand but my net is 1.6 lbs. per foot and is heavy an 8 ft. net
Definitely gonna try this i can open my 6 foot with no problem using the first method but with my heavy 8 foot I get a lot of partial opens
Great video...what is name of song that runs to about 2 min mark?
Thank U, could you let me know what is the brand Net are you using? Thank U
Thanks Mike for this video.I am in 3 grade trowing my 8 foot cast net, I hope be graduated for a time I found the sardines school at 5:00 AM in Key Biscayne area.Could you advise us title bit about that ?
Excellente méthode 😅
Great video and great technique
I just bought a 6 ft net and trying hard to to get it open like yours , but I'm not going to give up till i get it right
I just read on the fwc site that the recreational bag limit for mullet is 50 per day per person!
I really like the music too
I can barely throw a 5 footer but decided to buy a black pearl 10 footer anyway. Opens like butter with this technique. Appreciate the video.
Again another great video. I can't wait to try it out tomorrow if the rain will slack off.
hi mike, I am a lefty and I am having trouble keeping the net on my right shoulder. it rolls off. I cannot get to the 2nd part of the triple load, can you help me.
This dude keeps giving back to us,capt Mike for prez
Great videos brother and great attitude towards it all! Subscribed. Rock on. 🏝🇺🇸
As always Captain Mike, very informative video. Sorry I missed you at the boat show
I like the one handed method but i have a 10ft net so i have to use the three piece method.
Could we please get some more fishing vids as I love them?
Purchased one of your Ju Ju nets , quality looks great!
Read your book
Cast net mastery & really enjoyed the information. Thank you!
Thank you, I really appreciate that.
Lovelyyyyyy!!! Hey cap, show me how to hook the bait
Great job on the video Capt Mike!
I do prefer the one hand method on the 6ft cast net.
I use a 7ft net I bought from Walmart. After watching your videos on an 8ft net throwing with one hand and the triple load with a JUJU 10ft multi net that I just bought. I have no trouble with the 7ft net. my problem is with the triple load method. I watch you at least six to seven times a day with the triple load. I have trouble keeping it on my right shoulder. what can I do to keep it on my shoulder without it falling off?
Hi there. To keep it on your shoulder, you will want to pull down with your elbow so that portion of the net is tight. Let me know if that helps.
Great instructions on how to use that cast net
Best instructional video on this…
This is nice 👍thankss
love the music.....video's Great too.
Thanks! Mike
What kind of cast net. Suitable for deep sea, for example, fish that float at a depth of 12 meters?
Very easy tutorial, had a 6’ that weight ~5lb I can easily throw with 1 hand, but bought a new 7’, weight almost double ~10lbs cant throw with 1 hand, 2nd method was super easy to follow. Im 5’7, 150lbs, go to gym occasionally
Hey Captain Mike! My name Will I'm interested in looking for a 10-foot cast net? I live in the Miami area! Where would you recommend me going? I would like a good quality but a reasonable price?!
