      @@naiustheyetti that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. The only reason to play a game is because you enjoy it. You don’t have to first time a champ in ranked to have fun. If you’re doing that, then the fun you’re having isn’t in playing ranked, it’s in trolling your teammates. You most definitely have to be having fun to spam out the hundreds of games in ranked you need to on a small pool of champions you enjoy to improve and climb. Spamming out some bot games and PBE testing a champion pre-release is a sufficient enough metric to get you used to the champions abilities enough to try and start succeeding on a champ, or taking already established combos for a champion and practicing them in the practice tool until you get them down. Neace wouldn’t be spamming out jg Udyr this season if he wasn’t having fun playing it, and T1 wouldn’t play 3k games a season if he didn’t enjoy it.

      @@adoredelrio the easiest way to fix that, and see dramatic results instantly is to hit up the practice tool and practice last hitting for the first 10 minutes. Make sure that you’re getting at least 80. If you do that before you go into your first ranked game, it’ll also warm up your fingers. If you do that two times a day you’ll be consistently hitting at least 7cs/min every game. The Max in 10 min is 107, but if you’re consistently hitting around 100, you can try last hitting for the first 10 min w/o abilities and hitting 80. Not only that, but in a vacuum staying in lane, you’ll eventually start to see what waves you’re leveling up on and how many minions it takes until you hit a level up and what waves are cannons without having to spend much brain power on it.

    Hey Neace, I've really been enjoying these coaching videos and have learned a lot. Your game knowledge is great, there's no question about that - but you could learn something about how to teach people. When you ridicule the person you are teaching, you actually harm their confidence and in point of fact exacerbate their tendency to hesitate. For us, the observers - it's fine, because we're not the ones being abused, but for the student; it only makes them more afraid of making mistakes, which is counter-productive to your mutual goal.
    All I can say is this: If you can avoid getting tilted while you are coaching, your students are going to improve at a faster rate.

    Edit: Didn't think you were too hard on the guy. All criticisms obviously merited. I'm guilty of many of these things myself as I'm a Silver 1 noob at the moment. Namely, backing off from a fight (especially if I'm going to die regardless). I might as well stay in and go down fighting and potentially take one to the grave with me. Also, I'm working on my early 1v1s top lane and with garen most people underestimate you (in my elo at least).
    I did play 3 games of Garen after watching the video (Tri + Mortal Reminder SHREDS) and went 13/5/6, 12/6/7, and 5/4/4 (this game was doomed... I was the only positive KDA on the team...)

    • @TSH82
      @TSH82 3 года назад

      There's a difference between telling someone what they're doing is wrong out of kindness, and dismissing and invalidating someone's emotions. Telling someone to "get over it" doesn't teach anyone to "get over it", as emotions *are not controllable*. People just become frustrated that they can't not "get over it" instead of accepting their emotions but taking actions instead. "Tough enough to take it" sounds more like "has no respect for themselves." If it's just insulting someone for being bad, sucking, telling someone to "stop jerking off" etc--that is NOT tough love--that is intentionally hurtful with the intention to shame someone or control them. Saying "this is what you did incorrectly" out of kindness and wanting someone to improve is fine. We do not have control over people--people ultimately always make a decision. Even when threated with a gun to someone's head, the person still decides if they want to take action or not. Nobody controls the thoughts, actions, and nervous system of another human. So to try and control and manipulate people's behavior and shame people's actions and emotions, that is not helpful. That just teaches people they should feel shame for themselves. That is "toxic." That holds a lot of people back, in life, in League, etc.
      I like some of Neace's videos, but imo he can be toxic to clients as well. I don't have to like all of him to find value in the videos and like other aspects of him. As Bruce Lee said... “Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own.”

      u can rage without insulting, u can be like ''omg dude fk this team'' but dont say it to them, actually, is better if u shut up and play, dont tilt the only 4 people who can help u win the game, u won't win alone, u CAN'T win 1 v 5 its fkin impossible, so don't tilt your team and focus on playing better yourself

    But Neace you and I seem to share the same flaw (depending on how you look at it). When we are in "work mode" we are like steamrollers. We both served in the military and have that kind of life or death mentality that saves lives in which we brought to our everyday lives. I think in this coaching session, your client did not respond well to the steamroller (for whatever reason). He reminds me of a deer in headlights. When you were ordering him and steamrolling, he kinda panicked and lost sight of how to play.

      The guy is a typical bronze player, and doesn't understand some basic concepts. Will take time, and more practice, for it all to sink in. If he sticks with it, reviews his own games, and constantly seeks to learn, he'll climb easily.

    Neace mentions a lot recently that for the average person who doesn't want to become a content creator or professional and only plays for fun in their free time, that getting to D4 would be "beating the game" and I agree but it makes me wonder. A lot of people say to stick to low elo champs like lux/annie/garen(for the mid lane) etc until you get to high elo. Being an Akali player myself who often has terrible games, is it worth just not even bothering with champs like yone/yasuo/akali if you can just play something like lux to get to high elo and "beat the game"?

    • @athirson1000
      @athirson1000 3 года назад +2

      it's all down to your own purpose and enjoyment of the game, brother. whatever works best for what you intend to get out of playing this game.

    • @zac1443
      @zac1443 3 года назад +2

      Akalis in a bad spot you either have to be insanely good or you’ll struggle. Champs like lux and Annie are easily abused in high elo. Not saying they can’t perform well, it’s just high skill cap champs outperform beginner champs when played at a high level. Play whoever is most enjoyable to you regardless of meta.

    edit-
    Seems like newer generations play this game for fun. This player just doesn't do basic things that should keep him in silver its weird. I feel like the skill cap was way better a couple years ago
