I think the big problem here was that my guy did not associate Q with movement or speed in any way. His overall mechanics were bad tbh, which is worse to me because he said he watches Karasmai. He doesn't always E through walls to extend duration, he doesn't fast Q into walls, didn't use his whip much for his clear, it's more than just not using Q to move. His first clear, 3:46, terrible as well, didn't put 2 points in Q at level 3 for Karasmai clear, lots of space for improvement :)

I tested how much Q makes a difference, from fountain to fountain compared to spamming Q off cooldown is a difference of 4 seconds. It only matters if it's over a wall or EQ into a wall. Now that tear doesnt work unless you deal damage, spamming Q is useless
@@icewallowcome4027 4 second from fountain to fountain, thats less than 2 seconds cut to gromp, there's no point when you can use it to jump a wall instead
The analogy of speed running through camps was super successful for me. It helped me to be in the right place to react to plays rather than in my jungle slowly clearing the camps
Commented on last video about almost hitting plat and I finally hit it thanks to your content, I was gold 3 hard stuck until I started watching your vids and climbed in 2 weeks thanks to you! 🙏
are you saying hes not doing that? because he does. if you watch his higher elo plays he teachs mechanics that would not be required in bronze/silver/gold elos. Neache is VERY good at giving out info thats needed at the time.
@@santiagoz.s.1024 you couldn't be more wrong, the client wants to hear that what he's doing is ok and it's not his fault, Neace even tells him "flash then W" and player proceeds to flash, smite, Q then attempt W, when you are receiving coaching you don't need your coach to be the quiet type, you want a coach that will tell you how things work and then call you out when you are not doing anything that he has taught you.
I was screaming at my monitor, the amount of times he didnt use goredrinker in a fight and the amount of time he missed out on free kills it was just so painful.
Exactly.. he could’ve killed malphite if he used iron spike when he q’d… that animation to use iron spike whip prevented him from using his R earlier, failing at securing a kill and rarely used goredrinker whenever he q’d, very painful to see.
Travel distance on his q when clearing kayn mains usually drag the camp to the wall so they can q into it and hit both portions of the q on a shorter distance. His longer distances are costing him time.
I've been watching these coaching videos for the past few weeks and honestly they have opened my eyes to the game in a different way I'm definitely going to practice more often and hone my skills because I honestly want to hit Plat one day
Yeah I never paid attention to the battles going on. so If I was returning to bot, without looking, i'd be on my phone etc. but now I'm scrolling through and knowing to use my E(zilean) and managing to get stuns/revives last second just by paying attention which was something I just never thought of because I wasn't there.
@@theotakuGamer7640 or hear me out , dont waste ur time on this shitty game and do something that rly matters … saying it as someone who has 10k hours on this shit , it’s just an addiction, fight it !
Part of what make's Karasmai's clears faster is that he uses his Q into impassable walls to reduce some of the animation. Since your Q is your clearing bread & butter, reducing animation times on it saves you handfuls of precious seconds. Even with this advice, I struggle to do a full clear by 315 (it's usually around 320-325) so I started giving up the Krugs camp in order to have a little more time to look for/place vision in the enemy jungle before scuttler and potentially have some pre-scuttle ganks. First strike has been giving me more orbs so early gank pressure has been even better than usual. I then just clear Krugs on my second rotation. Kayn's clears are really fast once you have 3 levels in Q so you can afford to sacrifice one camp(in my opinion, higher level players would probably disagree but I'm doing the best i can with my weak micro) Also, in low ELO at least, I find the risk of being invaded goes up when I try to do full clears. I have been starting with 1 control ward and 1 potion so that I can potentially switch to vertical jungling in the case that I get invaded very earl. Losing exp or gold on your first rotation of camps as Kayn is not workable. I've also had these control wards catch less experienced players who think they actually have time to clear them (they get collapsed on) and put me ahead significantly. You also need to do the gromp + blue clear at the same time, EVERY TIME.
only recently ive been able to learn how to do the optimal clear, the most important part is definitely memorising how many times you have to auto each camp, auto raps 4 times wolves 3 times
From 12:00 to 12:50 is the best interaction of the video imo. Neace - "I don't think you play this champion, bro" Kayn - "Why not?" Neace - "Gra... Sell the refill... WHY DO... WHAT do YOU mean Why not? Neace, u good bro? I can tell your heart rate spiked when you registered what he actually said lmfao.
As a new player, I've been combing through lanes and roles to try to find something to focus on/that I'd enjoy. Thank you for your concise explanation of the "racing" and pathing mechanic. I've heard/seen stuff on it before, but the visual really helped. I plan to pick one thing and basically put 110% of my time playing into learning/perfecting my own play on it. The fact you can essentially speedrun the practice range is really cool and sounds like something I could get into - once I find the champion I wanna main. I love roguelites and stealth games that reward "perfect" clears. By the way Jungle is described here, that sounds like a transferrable skillset/mindset. Planning a route and then executing it. Obviously "best laid plans" applies here, but it sounds more engaging than any other role.
Honestly this mindset is helping me climb rapidly. My micro is bad but with Udyr it doesn't have to be rocket science. Just speed clear, make sure your lanes have prio, take scuttled and look for ganks/counter ganks. If the enemy jungle shows if you can't counter gank go invade. Every decision a jungler makes has to have an opportunity cost. If you don't take an objective/camp/gank while they're doing so you let them do it for free.
If you're interested in jungle, I'd suggest watching Vikaryu videos. He's a jungle main who is probably the best coach out there for jungle especially the macro part of it. Neace seems to be very micro focused, didn't seem to focus too much on jungler tracking which is the biggest thing in jungle.
For jungle, if your trying to perfect clear speed I reccomend a champ like fiddlesticks who can do a leashless full clear before skuttle spawn. He's a really good champion to spam practice tool with because that clear is 100% repeatable in almost every game, and gives you an outright advantage vs almost every low elo jungler.
My grandma gave up waiting and just canceled. Edit: This guy suffers from assuming the enemy is a god. Don't hold your W giving them credit for dodging it. Make them actually dodge it. Edit2: This man really tried to buy a tear at 30 minutes?

Neace, thank you so much for all the work you've done with your coaching and making it accessible for all of us here on youtube. It's certainly been helping me get better at my games as I'm seeing more positive scores and win rates.
I think the client would benefit from watching beginner guides for champs he's playing. He might be watching Karasmai, but he clearly doesn't understand Kayn's kit. Simple things like not using E to heal and path quickly or using Q to ensure you can pass through multiple pieces of terrain before E expires. His clear can be trimmed up with time, but he genuinely needs to understand his champ before he speeds it up.
I mean spending 0 minutes in practice tool as a jungler to practice a clear, watching karasmai but "somehow not getting it down", I don't know how much time precisely he put into getting better, but it clearly wasnt much. If he put the effort he put in his excuses in playing the game and listening to neace instead, he would already be gold 3+
You need to let your students know that auto attacks can kill too, if they are chasing low health targets. It’s seen so often that they hold mobility spells too long. Many Kayn players see their Q as a damage ability ONLY. A goalkeeper doesn’t stand still when trying to save a goal - he fucking jumps.
This kid talking about being a prospect when he can't even press buttons makes me ROFL. He just ignores W, Smite and Goredrinker entirely and wonders why he loses every fight. He just suicide Qs in over and over and hopes it works. Doesnt ult or smite till he's 10hp like he's playing tryn then wonders why his R never goes off.

He can't play this champion. He isn't fully using any of his abilities in the team fight and constantly forget his Goredrinker. He needs to watch more videos/montage and play more aggressively if he's looking to improve on playing this champion. There's a lot of times where they could've easily turned the fight around but lost because of his lack of ability usage.
If I've learned anything from Neace's videos it's that you don't need to be challenger to be a coach. This dude can't even use his abilities and he's paying hundreds of dollars for coaching. I would be able to point out all of these mistakes to him for 20 bucks.
This is why it's always smart to review your game vods before paying for a coach. If you watch your own gameplay you can usually find enough stuff to fix to make coaching kinda a waste of money. If you can't find anything to fix in your own gameplay reviews, then it's probably time to find a coach.
@@zeekieal yea except people who do that many mistakes are making them because they have no grasp of how the game or the champion should be played in the first place so when they ll watch their own vod they'll just be like 'mhm, nothing to see here, let s move on'. As a guy who plays fill in high dimond/masters. If you are gonna clear efficient. its 2 min 15 respawn meaning u can clear ur normal camps twice between each buff and also you have around a 30 second timer to gank when you are clearing efficient. ( that time is the down time) if u are not on ur downtime or there isnt a really free gank. keep farming. You will outfarm anyone and be huge come mid/lategame. (tips dont do this on j4/nunu/lee/reksai/ etc)
The best jg to do this on are smt like fiddle/yi. Since fiddle can take blue and red togehter with a second camp means its easier getting that timer of 2 gromps/2 raptors.
One of his problems is his a usage when clearing, he needs to kite the camps to the walls, and Q into the wall. It’s cancels the animation, and makes him get more autos in
I remember starting this game playing kayn and getting nowhere mechanically or in understanding resource management. But playing champs like Aatrox, Nasus, Voli, Udyr, Shen prolly taught me more about farming, micro and just overall how to keep an eye on macro.
What baffles me is every once in a while you get a lethargic shy client come to you completely shocked like "Wait, Neace is exactly the same with me as he is with everybody else, that's fucking crazy." Coming in to Vince McMahon's office for a fight contract LMAO
22:43 This guy W is not implanted in his brain and his decision making... 3 ppl where standing in front of him under his tower diving and he auto and pres Q
kayn can cancel his q animation and do faster dmg, also take it on coldown faster while he use it to wall that he cant jump around. thats make kayn full clear in 3:15-3:20 with 2 smites, 1 on wolfes and 1 on gromp/blue
At the end here literally everything Neace was saying, it was "Yea but my team," or, "But yea its just this" or, "Ive been playing the game for a long time so its just set in here-" Man neace nailed it when he said something about excuses

"i rly have problems doin x" "well how often did you train x" ... never...what also triggers me is that he doesnt use goredrinker in liek 90% of the fights... and then he wants to buy a tear in min 30 wtf
the client definitely knows the problem, he's been playing the game like this for a while and everything he's doing became muscle memory. I feel like not playing the game for a while can improve your game more than you'd expect at first.
It allows you to take an overhead look at the game, and Your game. You notice a lot of little things you are messing up. Im coming back from a long break now and relearning a few things, and in the process have learned more then I ever knew when I played before.
I'm low elo trash when I say this, but this is the second video in a row tonight that I just feel like a lot of issues would almost be immediately fixed with unlocked camera. Going unlocked was hard at first but now it's second nature. Because of these videos though, I do realize I need to be looking ahead of the play better. I'm halfway there already with unlocked camera, now just gotta apply the strength to it lol thanks for the vids Papa Neace!
As a Kayn main this was extremely painful to watch. Even more mistakes that were pointed out. I am going to reach out to this brother and get him some help. He looked like my 6 year old sister playing kayn
1 min 20 seconds in. He's talking about jungle camps. I cant remember who but a stream just explained it to me as putting your camps on cooldown. So think of them as an ability that gives you gold and exp every set time period after you clear them. The faster and more efficient you are with clearing them the more gold and exp you can get. Just dropping this here incase someone struggle with it that description helped me alot.
nEACE " ITS NOT GG IN THIS ELO." Notruer words have ever been spoken. I lost a game with yi 5/0 start and stole their whole jungle, bot fed 18 kills top 12 and i ended with 26/14 and lost. I was so mad and shocked my team refused to assist and give me yuumi... Said you lost your last three matches, but in this game i was 65% of our kills... lost my mind!
From what I can recall you can buy the entire upgraded version outright, though it costs more gold. Though if you were to buy a portion of the item you are right, definitely wouldn't start with tear lol.
I too have junglers like this in my games. You have to ping the objectives coz somehow they dont have the herald/drake/baron timer in their tabs. After they clear all their camps, theyre just gonna wait for the first camp to spawn. They wont respond to a dive or gank because they NEED to finish the camps. They tax the lane if u recalled for no good reason even if they can see ur near them already after resetting. Yeah and they are the best at wat theyre doing
The problem I have with part of the approach of these types of sessions is similar to the problem I have with like Gordon with kitchen nightmares. You're intervening for someone who has likely years of bad habits developed. There are certain things (like this guys slowness) you just have to write off from the start like "Ok, this is not something this person is going to be able to just 180 on right off the bat. Let me give him a long-term strategy to fix this particular issue and right now focus on things that can be immediately improved on." Give the metaphors, stress the importance, and make sure he understands that speed matters. But it's just not the thing to make a focal point during a 2 hour session in my opinion. Because it's not fixable on the spot. Like Neace said, he needs to go and put hours into the practice tool to get his route down. Just as so, he needs to put hours into working his mindset into "speed speed speed". So when Neace yells at him for this, it's just a little weird to me. One mans opinion. Note: I'm a big fan of Niece. I received a mid-plat ADC coaching session from him and I had some takeaways from it that helped my play. Just a thought.
The thing is though, if Neace doesn't react and coach him in the way that he was coaching towards the middle and the end of the coaching, it would never get through to the client. I would have a problem if it were the only tactic that Neace employed while coaching, or if he were a teacher who just liked to yell at his students. It wasn't however, he tried very hard to go the calm, quiet, and collected route, and the client did not change what he was doing. Drastic changes call for drastic measures, and I think that is why Neace is so effective. If he did not coach the way he did, the client would "improve" for that game, but would quickly go back to their old way of doing things.
Personally I actually found this video really helpful, haven't ever looked at jungle quite the way you explained it in this video and I feel like looking at it that way will make it hopefully easier when I play it in the future
I like to jungle now and again with Diana and after hearing the advice about practicing my first clear in the tool over and over and now my clear is a respectable (at least I think so?) 3:15 to 3:20 for a full clear. Before watching some videos for tips and taking the time to practice I thought there was no way to full clear that fast.
As a prior Kayn main this hurt to watch. Much if his gameplay comes from. Early farming, precise fights if any for orbs, and ability tech. This guy does close to none but knows of it and does it very lax.
I WAS CRYING when you said " Granny's waiting XD". But all in all, people really don't get the fact, in order to one trick a champ you like, you need to study it religiously. Every bit of mechanic/win condition/ even the spell tooltip is super important. Honestly amazing coaching, very detailed and communication was insanely nice! Keep up the good work!
12:30 I love it man. You're so harsh, but there's a reason. If more coaches were like this (and most people weren't so sensitive) there would be many more better players in league! Love the content Neace. Keep it coming.
At 11:19 yes he should steal camps BUT NOT WHEN THERE'S A CONTROLL WARD IN THAT BUSH take it First so they don't know ur next move even if they can't do anything about it is good so they can't predict you cause then u are putting pressure on the map As a kayn main he don't know anything
I hate that Neace is being so harsh to him, but I almost hate more that he doesn't seem to care enough. If it was me, I would try reflecting on why he's so angry and verbally point out my mistakes and be upset at myself.
As somebody who started playing league last year and already hit plat. I still really appreciate all your vids. I learn something everytime even if i dont play jungle(I main top) its really good to get a persepctive on what the enemy junglers and on what my junglers may potentially be thinking.
12:16 This chase.... wow After Kayn failing a gank a few minutes ago and then Malp leads them on a chase, lol. Malph's self esteem skyrocketed for the day
I play mid and top and I just now realized I watch more about jungle then mid and top think that's the reason I have had more ganks from team and not been ganked like ever for the last week
i know the video is old, i'm watching a lot of neace videos recently, but I saw that he maskes the same mistake a lot. As a teacher or as a coach people tend to focus on telling "what to do" and explain some basic/advance concept, but they struggle to get in the students' minds. In this case all the video goes around the concept of "speed things up" "it's a race game" and bla bla bla, but (at least for now at 15 minutes) i never heard of HOW you should speed things up. Maybe explain better the abilities? Some rotation routes? Like when he's invading top side krugs neace says something like "why are you not jumping over the wall?" while the student I GUESS relies only on his E to do so. So i would teach him a better use of the Q, even when leaving the base or simply rotating from a camp to another. With that I would even teach him when and how use abilities that has a double use like the Q: when use the Q to move and when to deal damage. Same for E, when to speed your movement up or to heal etc etc. Coaches and Teachers have to remember that some students start from 0 and they can't even ask these question because they can't even know they exist. Like a baby, i baby can't ask his teacher how to multiply things if he doesn't know that moltiplications exist in the first place. IF neace doens't have enought time during coaching (probably happens a lot) I suggest to take some time to research videos to send to the students to teach them some basic stuff like abilities, champions and bla bla bla, and during the coaching explain in depth those concept. Sorry for my english, probably I killed someone reading this, but english is not my native language, still trying my best

Day 1 of play the veteran who helped me learn told me to never, ever use lock screen. It felt strange for MAYBE 3 days? I can't imagine if I had been left to my own devices. I would've stayed with screen lock on and eventually, when I realized the flaw on my own, I would have had to untrain however many hours I spent building muscle memory around the lock screen. IMO, as a newbie, it's probably the best advice I got early.
I understand when some players are afraid to use their abilities because they think they might be of more use later. Kind of like how in Overwatch when Mercy players used to hold their rez too long fruitlessly looking for the POG. I don't understand a Kayn player afraid to W. Especially a red Kayn player. The CC is most of the reason you go red.
if you cant get to scuttle before it spawns as kayn, go to practice tool untill you can do it. Even without a leash you can do it with kayn. So with one, its a no brainer.

Hope you have a great day after reading this. Thank you.
Kind of feel like fail invades usually puts more pressure on the jungler but might be my feeling as Used to mid since all ganks will pass mid from both top and bot whenever poking to drain mana mid.. also why most doing metals with less mana dependent champs.. All depending who getting the kill I guess but see it as divided mid and jungler... Since the jungler have easier keep farming by moving or don't contest jungle farm and choose safer angles for ganks and not be ganked.. mud get pressure to leave lane and kind of babysit jungle river and both sides when ever their jungler or lanes go for jungler since they usually have all vision to see movement.. especially smurfs put vision where the noob jungle might go and just interrupt and steal buffs for free almost each time.. And mid farm gets wasted each time save failed

I tested how much Q makes a difference, from fountain to fountain compared to spamming Q off cooldown is a difference of 4 seconds. It only matters if it's over a wall or EQ into a wall. Now that tear doesnt work unless you deal damage, spamming Q is useless
@@slAvenger 4 seconds is still more than 0, you gain mana back in the jg from gromp and blue, no reason not to spam

gj bro, what role ?
Part of being a good coach is understanding different skill levels and accommodating accordingly…
are you saying hes not doing that? because he does. if you watch his higher elo plays he teachs mechanics that would not be required in bronze/silver/gold elos. Neache is VERY good at giving out info thats needed at the time.
@@theotakuGamer7640 he is totally not doing that. Hes being a pain in the ass, and thats that.

Old man Neace never fails to deliver wise lessons o why we suck at low elos
Kayn's clears are really fast once you have 3 levels in Q so you can afford to sacrifice one camp(in my opinion, higher level players would probably disagree but I'm doing the best i can with my weak micro)
Also, in low ELO at least, I find the risk of being invaded goes up when I try to do full clears.
Neace - "I don't think you play this champion, bro"
Kayn - "Why not?"

Just a long game of cat and mouse on motorcycles
For jungle, if your trying to perfect clear speed I reccomend a champ like fiddlesticks who can do a leashless full clear before skuttle spawn. He's a really good champion to spam practice tool with because that clear is 100% repeatable in almost every game, and gives you an outright advantage vs almost every low elo jungler.
I've never played league or have any intention on playing it but I can't stop watching these vids.

If you can't find anything to fix in your own gameplay reviews, then it's probably time to find a coach.

Really bad call by Neace. Nothing he can do there. He needs to just recall and get form.
he says he tries to do what karasmai does with his clear but he does nothing the way karasmai does it
I too have junglers like this in my games.
Let me give him a long-term strategy to fix this particular issue and right now focus on things that can be immediately improved on."
Give the metaphors, stress the importance, and make sure he understands that speed matters.

Im learning so much from these coaching vids
@NEACE what do you think about the jg meta reverting back to udyr/hec meta and also is it ok to lock screen if I have macros for each lane ?
i know the video is old, i'm watching a lot of neace videos recently, but I saw that he maskes the same mistake a lot.
Not leveling with the mouse is such a big advantage. Didn't realize how quick you could upgrade an ability and go in level 2 or 3.

IMO, as a newbie, it's probably the best advice I got early.
i struggle playing on unlocked screen, its really uncomfortable. Any tips?
I understand when some players are afraid to use their abilities because they think they might be of more use later. Kind of like how in Overwatch when Mercy players used to hold their rez too long fruitlessly looking for the POG. I don't understand a Kayn player afraid to W. Especially a red Kayn player. The CC is most of the reason you go red.
if you cant get to scuttle before it spawns as kayn, go to practice tool untill you can do it. Even without a leash you can do it with kayn. So with one, its a no brainer.
Granny's Waiting.. i think my biggest issue is committing to just playing.. too many times my brain is like.. What if my team feeds. What if my lane dominates me. What could go wrong. So i always just turn to bots or the random game modes but i hear all my friends tell me im good at the game. I just need to push myself to play and not care what happens, just play and have fun. Hope you have a great day after reading this. Thank you.

I KEEP SCREAMING W EVERY FIGHT, this guy never watched a simple 5min kayn mechanic video
"What have I been yelling at the whole time?!! Sense of urgency.." Fallowed by the awkward silence for 10 s..... haha
