Most native speakers are not teachers, that is why when they work in a language school without having pedagogical education, their students neither understand them nor evolve. Some things should be explained by a person who understands your mentality, at least when you are a beginner. This is surely more applicable for adults.

You are a great professional. Thank you very much for all these free classes. I never thought there could be such a thing as "would of" or "could of", this is very important to know because a non speaking person could easily assume as correct those mistakes just because they are done by native speakers.
thank you very much again, your style and concept are the best, you are a toal star my friend!

There's a good website where English teachers from English speaking countries post useful videos on grammar, vocabulary, proNUNciation etc, and in one of the videos the teacher (from Canada) says that MOST native speakers will say "eK se chra" (this is instead of phonetic symbols) meaning "et cetera", and of course "et cetera" is correct blah blah blah... but both are acceptable.... argh!...Being an English teacher myself I cannot understand how someone who claims to be a teacher can say such things to their students! greetings from Russia))) I love your channel btw, thanks for the great videos!

@Aliya Zuheer that's true. I've paid closer attention now and could notice the difference. I always knew people used to write these contractions incorrectly, but I had not paid attention to the pronunciation, in fact it's weird. Thanks a bunch. Best regards!

Hi Aly :) Billion thanks to you for your awesome videos. The mistake I have noticed is that some native speakers say R in the end of the words with "ea". Like IdeaR. (check my level of confidence btw hahah) thank you dear Teacher! also guys don't forget that you have the right to make mistakes and to be wrong sometimes, or even not having the perfect british accent (Aly's accent basically) oh I mean Lucy's :p , you have the right to speak English with your personal touch/your own way but try to speak the best way possible! try to do your BEST! make sure what you say is understandable, try to improve your accent, but don't blame your original accent because it is BEAUTIFUL

Funny thing though, before interacting with any native English speakers I had never made any of these mistakes. After years and years of English internet though, I confess I got you're/your, too/to and "me and him" instead of "he and I" wrong a few times even though I knew perfectly well it's incorrect lol You native English speakers dumbed me down!!! :D

You're so absolutely right, I've seen loads and loads of people writing and speaking using would've +P.P for the first sentence when it should be Had+P.P, and I knew that was wrong, but now I'm wondering if other things I've seen are also wrong like, "Had I known" instead of "If I had known", that's correct right?.
These structures I know they're correct but still they baffle me: "Never have I ever seen" , instead of "I've never seen" , why do they state something asking it? Or like "Not only was he nominated but he won" , instead of, "Not only he was nominated but he won" or he wasn't only nominated...why reversing the structure like a question if you're affirming something and not questioning it? That really baffles me, 🤔.
Also the "would of", I've seen it written lots of times and they also tend to use the second past with would've, like I've heard people say, I would've or could've forgot instead of forgotten.
