For your examples: XXX is a signifier that something is related to sex (often in regards to adult films) while XOXO is a much gentler phrase relatives might put on cards, meaning "hugs and kisses." NGL is "honestly" (not gonna lie), TBF is "I mean, ..." (to be fair), some related to the video are YW and NP (you're welcome and no problem respectively). They're almost always the first letters of a phrase; they're only used in text though, when speaking nobody ever says the letters (example, LOL as "ell oh ell") we just say the phrase.
