I installed Holley EFI and after 2 years of nothing but problems I uninstalled it and put a new Holley Avenger Carb on. The car starts perfect cold or hot and super simple to set it up. You obviously have an old carburetor that has not been properly setup with a vacuum gauge. The EFI and Hyperspark Hype is just that, Hype. When you have any problem with the EFI or Hyperspark Units, you need to ship it back to Holley. Carbs are easy to adjust and fix. I don't need an expensive Electric fuel Pump and my car runs better on my Holley avenger Carb that it ever did the two years I had the EFI on. The truth is Carbureted cars perform just as good as EFI at 1/3 the price.
Rotor ranger I'm on your side nothing but problems all he's doing is mocking the carburetor that's dirty put a brand new carburetor on it won't have all these problems forget that electronic bulshit you get a fuse that blows a dirty fuel injector you can't fix a lot of that on the side of the road if you're going across the The country
Question. Is the EGR built in to this unit? I have a 302 being stroked to 347 similar to your other build series and can't find anything online about it sadly. it's a 93 f150 with the OBD1. It's not carved, but I like this set up better.
Great video as usual brotha, I noticed you changed the distributor from points type to an hei type was that necessary to do cause of the EFI or was it changed just because of preference?? I'm actually about to throw a stock type built 454 in my 84 C10 and contemplating EFI which would be a first for me.
The Summit Racing EFI system works with all types of ignition! I'm impressed you spotted the difference. My old distributor failed on the final scene of the shoot so I had to order a new one and install it to finish the video. It had nothing to do with the EFI, just super unlucky failure of a part. Yeah this one would be a great option for you! Thanks for watching!
The summit one doesnt control timing. So you dist works just like it does with a carb off vacuum to advance. The hei though is a big improvement over points. I swapped to one from points on my centurion. Video is on my channel. It starts a ton easier and runs way better with it. Its a super simple swap. Im going to do a efi swap soon on that car. I really want to do the sniper, sniper 2 or fi tech so i can control timing but cost may make me go with one that doesnt and just keep my vacuum advance.
And now a year later the reviews for the summit efi are not good. I noticed many of the reviews had similar complaints. The problem im seeing with all the EFI units, summit, ace, holley etc they just don't appear to last. Im staying carbureted for now but im hoping the Holley Sniper EFI 2 fixed the issues the first one had. If you see this comment, could you update us with an honest one year review??? I scrolled through your videos and shorts and haven't seen anything else about it. Thanks
I just drove my car yesterday, mine is working great! Also did a build with a 302 with the Summit EFI and it is still working great. I think there are unlucky units as are with everything and those people tend to leave reviews more often than people that are happy with their product. Thanks for watching!
Does this EFI require an aftermarket ECU if the car doesn't have one or is the ECU built in? If the ECU is included in the EFI, does it have an OBD2 port for codes? Looking to potentially EFI a car with a Gen 1 350 Chevy Smallblock which has no computer in it whatsoever.
I put a 5.7 vortec in a 95 Tahoe and used the tbi it idles good but after it warms up when you punch it it stumbles and when you get to a high rpm it starts misfiring
Yes. For this set up. I have seen other ones where you don't need to do that and the stock tank works with an intake pump designed to run in it. Thanks for watching!
Changed both of those things. Even had it tunned on the dyno, still bogs. I think my 850 just had an inherent problem that I just didn't want to look into anymore. Thanks for watching!
hopefully you sealed that data cable connection since it is in engine compartment. And, those butthead connections will need to be sealed or they will rust. and those plastic butt connectors don't last very long. fyi
And a commenter that begins and ends their comment with "lmfao" is clearly the automotive genius I'm not. I await your video that is perfect in every facet! Please don't leave us waiting and upload today! We are all on pins and needles to receive your greatness! Thanks for watching!
You're talking about a carburetor that's probably has issues all carburetors don't have bogging problems so you need to specify that carburetors are the best and they always will be I would drive across the United States with a carburetor before I would drive across the United States with the Holley sniper nothing but trouble electrical wires computer boards one little thing shorts out and you're on the side of the road you don't have 12 volt power kiss your ass goodbye
I'm about convinced to do this to the 429 in my 65 Deville. Already converted ignition to HEI.
It will completely change the car for the better. I was surprised how much I like it. Thanks for watching!

Sounds like user error. Going on 3 years with a sniper and hyperspark on my SBF. Best upgrade ever, never go back to carbs

I totally agree. Holley EFIs are an expensive boondoggle!
You’re videos are very informative, clear and comprehensive. Thank you so much for sharing 🙏🏽🙏🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽.
Thanks so much for watching!
When you had the hose clamps on the 02 bung was the time to tack weld it...not when the 02 sensor was in it. It could have damaged the 02 sensor.
Minus the gasket of course if welding the entire bung around the perimeter of course.
Great job! Can’t wait to get the Holley EFI system installed on my LS.
Nice! Thanks for watching!

Did you feel more power with efi then carb ?
Looking to swap my 68 GT to efi. Thanks for the video!
Great way to go! Thanks for watching!

any well tuned carb will run as good as a EFI, BUT long distance drives with hi and low altitude drives the EFI will adjust on the fly, hard to beat.
Very true. You also have to know how to tune a carb. This is just plug and play. Thanks for watching!

great video! the engine sounds amazing :)
Very nice job man 👍
Thanks 👍
My 1986 chevy k10 with a 305 does the exact same thing yours does..the bogging from a start
Update video coming soon? Has the self tuning worked out ?
Still working on it!
Is this a good idea for a dually truck? Use it to pull. 1994 4x4 7.4 k3500.
Yeah if you are having problems with your TBI or Carb, can't remember when they switched. And if you don't live in a smog state. Thanks for watching!
E85 compatible?
I don't think so. Thanks for watching!
Do you think a spacer would benifit you?
On all the dyno videos I have seen they definitely add power but I don't want the air filter to hit the hood. Thanks for watching!
I put a 5.7 vortec in a 95 Tahoe and used the tbi it idles good but after it warms up when you punch it it stumbles and when you get to a high rpm it starts misfiring
Sounds like it's lean. Maybe get new injectors? Or the plugs just need a change. Thanks for watching!
New plugs 2 different tbi no egr or o2 sensor
What about injection nozzles ? To do like that, injection nozzles will be needed?
The injectors are built into the throttle body on this unit. Thanks for watching!
Did you half to change out ur fuel tank ?
Yes. For this set up. I have seen other ones where you don't need to do that and the stock tank works with an intake pump designed to run in it. Thanks for watching!
So how is this holding up?
Great! I want to do a follow up soon. Thanks for watching!
Out of curiosity, is the link down in the description????????????
Yes. Thanks for watching!
Will this work with mad ignition box and how do you use it on dual tanks
Yeah definitely! There are regulators that have 2 feeds and 2 returns and 1 injector feed. Thanks for watching!
@@2carpros thank man your videos are freaking awesome and helping me a lot.your step by step instructions are above others .god bless
Any idea what happens if the o2 sensor dies?
It will run rich and throw a code. Thanks for watching!
Carb sounds like it needs air bleeds and squirters . My 850 is very responsive when tuned right
Changed both of those things. Even had it tunned on the dyno, still bogs. I think my 850 just had an inherent problem that I just didn't want to look into anymore. Thanks for watching!
Why did you swap the dissy
My distributor died on the very last scene of the video. So I had to replace it with one I had. Had nothing to do with the EFI. Thanks for watching!
Update?
Still working great! Thanks for watching!
Give an update review video now that it’s been a while
On the todo list. I can say it's been working fine just like the video since. Thanks for watching!
hopefully you sealed that data cable connection since it is in engine compartment. And, those butthead connections will need to be sealed or they will rust. and those plastic butt connectors don't last very long. fyi
I'm really not worried about it. If it causes a problem, I'll fix it then it's super easy.
Garbage around stick with a carburetor electronics nothing but trouble electrical problems
That’s a bunch of work for some simple basic carb adjustments!
Some people like this better. Thanks for watching!
Lmao bro the problem is you nor the “race shop” know what they’re doing lmfaoo
And a commenter that begins and ends their comment with "lmfao" is clearly the automotive genius I'm not.
I await your video that is perfect in every facet! Please don't leave us waiting and upload today! We are all on pins and needles to receive your greatness! Thanks for watching!
U skipped the part i needed to see🤦🏾😂
I didn't skip anything. What did you need to see?
Install new carburetor a******
Nothing easy about an EFI swap. It’s not worth it.
I can't believe how inexpensive it is these days to EFI swap!
Right?! It blew my mind how little this costs and how well it works!
Funciona bem mesmo. 🇧🇷👍🇺🇸
