This was so helpful. I am bisexual and I’ve been struggling with these thoughts in my heterosexual relationship since July and I nearly ended the relationship as a result. I’ve finally contacted a therapist and am starting on Thursday but I’m not sure if they really understand this sort of struggle. When I mentioned I was worried it’s HOCD, he didn’t seem too clued up on it. I want to go into it with an open mind, but am worried it’ll be wasted money? Do you think I should give it a go anyway?
Hey there. Thanks so much for reaching out. It is unfortunately quite common for therapists not to understand these topics but you can always perhaps give it a try and see how you feel after a couple of sessions. If it’s not working out and you would like to see a specialist you can come to me through www.notdefining.com or I can recommend other highly trusted practitioners. Wishing you all the very best with your healing journey.

Is Gender OCD a thing? Because I think that's what I have
A lot of people have obsessive compulsive anxiety fixated on their gender yes.
When your friend says you are like a brother to me is that gay?
No it’s saying he cares about you like he would care about his brother. It’s a very special friendship.
@@notdefining This friend has dry humped me before, can that be gay/bisexual?
