It has also been my observation that people who play the piano (or some other musical instrument) even if not very well, seem to need a lot fewer medications in their life. It's the cheapest therapy you will ever find.
Every time I hear Boogie Woogie it brings tears of joy to my eyes. I think this was a gift from God to make people smile and dance. If Boogie Woogie doesnt touch your heart then something is wrong

I have only heard praise for all of these talented pianists and entertainers. Thank you for bringing so much joy into the world. When things get you down, boogie woogie is the one thing that can lift the soul.
The music is great absolutely, but everyone should know Brendan Kavanaugh is genuinely a shit human being. Just look at his videos, he legitimately creeps out on young girls and is a total hypocrite in that he's posted videos of himself harassing other piano players and disrespecting them. One particular video he deleted was of him approaching a pianist at a public piano with his camera trained on the poor guy's face, the guy didn't want to be filmed and made that explicitly clear and Kavanaugh went full "sovereign citizen" on him saying "oh it's my right to film you, you're in a public space it's my right to be an ass hole to you etc". The guy just wanted to play the piano in peace but Brendan couldn't just be normal and leave him be.
Sadly there will always be haters. If you don't like it just simply move along - These musicians have talent and skill beyond belief. What a treat to see them all play together, only wish i could've watched it live...

One of my favorite things about watching these public performances is seeing all of the seniors light up. No doubt even more impactful on them when it's a younger performer playing for them, reminds them that the music they've enjoyed throughout their long life is still being appreciated and gives them reassurance that the next generation isn't so bad afterall. The playing from everyone was incredible, but I already knew that since I've seen a lot of your and Dr. K's other content.
I have no idea how you can't get up and dance to this. To make your body stay quiet and not move. For me it's bittersweet. Arthritis has finally won the battle. Boogie boogie - I can no longer play it (or anything else) and can no longer dance to it. I can still enjoy listening to it, though, and bop in my chair. All is not lost.

You can learn boogie woogie. Learn 3 chords, C F G and mix them up. Left hand plays one not ata time in a long short rhythm, right hand plays the notes randomly to each chord. Lookup basic 12 bar blues.

This is one of my favorites and I've just played it this morning I think 3 times interspersed with others of similar content. My dad asked a friend's mom to teach him boogies so ogie when it first was popular and literally got a small pump organ that fit in the room he shared in the Army nearing the end of WWII as he could play well enough by ear to attract those who were more accomplished. (Dad is 94 but doesn't do social media or even email but watches RUclips and knows of Dr. K) I sent my brother this video to share with him on a bigger screen than a phone. You guys are so much fun!

We had a Hammond organ at home--from Daddy on down(there were 8 of us) took lessons & played. Afraid I couldn't do with practicing--but--learned to read music,(& play a little bit). WAS in choir in grade & high school.(My beloved sister told me I had a good voice. Hated when liner notes didn't include lyrics!) Had a Nephew walking with me singing Peter Gabriel songs-NOT Nursery songs! He now plays drums, & I'm SO proud of him. The music is great absolutely, but everyone should know Brendan Kavanaugh is genuinely a shit human being. Just look at his videos, he legitimately creeps out on young girls and is a total hypocrite in that he's posted videos of himself harassing other piano players and disrespecting them. One particular video he deleted was of him approaching a pianist at a public piano with his camera trained on the poor guy's face, the guy didn't want to be filmed and made that explicitly clear and Kavanaugh went full "sovereign citizen" on him saying "oh it's my right to film you, you're in a public space it's my right to be an ass hole to you etc". The guy just wanted to play the piano in peace but Brendan couldn't just be normal and leave him be.
Fantastic talent.....unbelievable that some people dislike with a thumbs down.......I would give these guys a 1000 thumbs up......
Sadly there will always be haters. If you don't like it just simply move along - These musicians have talent and skill beyond belief. What a treat to see them all play together, only wish i could've watched it live...

One of my favorite things about watching these public performances is seeing all of the seniors light up. No doubt even more impactful on them when it's a younger performer playing for them, reminds them that the music they've enjoyed throughout their long life is still being appreciated and gives them reassurance that the next generation isn't so bad afterall.
The playing from everyone was incredible, but I already knew that since I've seen a lot of your and Dr. K's other content.

For me it's bittersweet. Arthritis has finally won the battle. Boogie boogie - I can no longer play it (or anything else) and can no longer dance to it. I can still enjoy listening to it, though, and bop in my chair. All is not lost.
I just don't know how people can stand around like statures and not even tap their foot. lol, amazing jam...

I feel so sorry I can't play an instrument. It must be so great being able to play so amazing as those guys do.
You can learn boogie woogie. Learn 3 chords, C F G and mix them up. Left hand plays one not ata time in a long short rhythm, right hand plays the notes randomly to each chord. Lookup basic 12 bar blues.

This is one of my favorites and I've just played it this morning I think 3 times interspersed with others of similar content. My dad asked a friend's mom to teach him boogies so ogie when it first was popular and literally got a small pump organ that fit in the room he shared in the Army nearing the end of WWII as he could play well enough by ear to attract those who were more accomplished. (Dad is 94 but doesn't do social media or even email but watches RUclips and knows of Dr. K) I sent my brother this video to share with him on a bigger screen than a phone. You guys are so much fun!

These guys are extremely entertaining, I follow them every week, because they've grown on me, Terry is a great pianist and a really nice person, Brendan on the other hand is a great teacher and entertainer who could get anybody play, even a cat, dog or an octopus. No offense, but if you're looking for an extraordinary talent Search for Italian pianist Matthew Lee. He comes from another planet. I'd really love to see them meet up one day. It would be memorable!

ALL of you BLEW ME AWAY❗😱 Live & improvised...WOW.😮 Known some musicians--1 in particular would put together a mix tape of his music. Watching him play amazed me. We had a Hammond organ at home--from Daddy on down(there were 8 of us) took lessons & played. Afraid I couldn't do with practicing--but--learned to read music,(& play a little bit). WAS in choir in grade & high school.(My beloved sister told me I had a good voice. Hated when liner notes didn't include lyrics!) Had a Nephew walking with me singing Peter Gabriel songs-NOT Nursery songs! He now plays drums, & I'm SO proud of him. Thank you for brightening another otherwise down day in the Nursing Home. 👏💃🙋🎼🎶🎹🎸
