His mother was a classically trained musician and music teacher. She never ever acknowledged his music and career, not even the fact that he was her son when people asked her. He was like the black sheep to her. Luckily his father was the other way around
I actually love his voice! It's raw and real and he's spot on. And beyond all the ""WHOOO!" he is an amazing lyric writer and singer. Very underestimated artist, he has so much more depth. Even if I ofc love the whoooo side of him too 😄
I was 13 years old and loved Magnus Uggla. Me and my friends weren´t offended by this song. We thought of it as education; "This is how boys are thinking - remember that when they whisper sweet lies in your ear!".
Wow!! I was thrown back to 1977! All them memories😁. Try "Efter plugget" with Factory. That song was played very much on the jukebox were i lived. I think that song came 1977. Take care. Peace. 🤘😎🤘
He had a great band in the 70s. Top notch. Both the bassplayer and lead guitarist played with ABBA as well. And appears on maaaany great Swedish albums.
My favorite ever Magnus Uggla song is Vittring! It's always on my regular playlists. On a side note; as a Swede choosing to write literature in English, it is also one of my favorite Swedish-over-English words, put to fantastic use in the song.
An American guy listening to music from little Sweden, it's so amazing! Makes me want to go listen to music from other countries that I never knew existed.
If you like metal there's an Indian band called "Girish and the Chronicles" that are really good. Their songs are in English and the lead singer has an amazing voice. 🤘

This song cemented the public understanding that asking a person to go and "dricka te" is really asking for sex. In case of really wanting to drink tea, with someone you just ask to go have a "fika"!!!
True story. 😉👍
Played this song on a afterparty in Manchester a couple years back when my band did some shows over there. Everybody loved it haha! even though it was in Swedish
I haven´t seen any Tomas Ledin yet? He is our Bruce Springsteen and most Swedes can sing along to his songs. Biggest hits? Sommaren är kort, I natt är jag din, En del av mitt hjärta. Biggest hits in live concerts? Sensuella Isabella, Just nu, Vi är på gång (original, not the rewritten one from some football cup). Those songs may not be his best songs, but they work for a live audience.
