I'm always so mesmerized and excited when I see the cabin crews walking past at the airport. I literally always wait until they all come out and walk in their different airline groups. They all look so posh and beautiful

Brilliant vlog, nicely informative. Givin us the meat, givin it to us raw. Loved the pre flight briefing bit. Not all that different from what we do here, but ofcourse Air Niugini is much smaller scale to EK.

I work for British airways and we don’t collect the unused items but we do have to pull out all blankets etc from overhead lockers so we can do security checks and return seatbelts/infant LJ etc.
Hope that gives a bit of clarity for you :)

You mentioned you worked Business Class for this flight; how many passengers are you responsible for attending to and are you the only one or are you teamed up w/someone? Thanks!!
It changes depending the the aircraft so..
B777 has 42 business seats by 3 crew. 2 crew in the cabin with passengers, 1 in the galley/kitchen.
A380 as 76 seats by 8 crew. 5 crew in the cabin, 2 in the galley/kitchen and 1 in the onboard lounge.
The crew working the in cabin have the seat split up so we have our own passengers to serve to try make it more personal ☺️ B777 is 21 each. A380 is 19 each.

As you indicated “rest”, hydration & nutrition are all essential elements if you want to make this job your lifetime dream career.
Well said! without rest you are as good as not being there ☺️ I have always said I will give the honest truth about our role, show the good an the bad sides ☺️
Also the more hours you put into flying, the more lethal dosages of radiation you will be exposed to. The same goes with the pilots as well.
In my airline we do collect every single item back from the pax. Been binge watch ur vlogs. Hopefully can join ek in future 🤞

Thanks for showing this Sophie! I was wondering are masks still mandatory for cabin crew or optional? Also are you still paid hourly when your going to headquarters before and after your flight? :)
They are optional now ☺️ an you are only paid from when the door of the aircraft is closed and the plane is pushed back to touch down ☺️

1. Where do the crew put their carry-on and suitcase
2. Can you explain about the R2 and L2 checks, I've seen some Instagram videos about it but don't get it .

carry on bags go in the hackracks/overhead bins an the suitcase goes in the cargo. just like passengers☺️ Im sorry, I wont give out to much security information etc, other people may but im not going to. Hope you understand
I have a few question I' like to ask.
1.-So, how does Emirates pay you? As in, is it through your bank account using the swift number or is there any other method?
2.-Also, what are the conditions to retire as a cabin crew member?
3.- Regarding the retirement, does Emirates pay you the retirement after you stop working and return to your country?

I would like to be a captain/first officer and I'm just wondering, if you are a captain, can you only fly on one plane, so for instance, the captains on your flight today will they never fly on the Boeing 777 or can you fly on both?
Best of luck in your future adventures! Yes, the planes are very different in how they work and operate, so they 'pick' one and move up the ranks for that type of aircraft ☺️

Also when youre in emirates are you living in accomdation? and when you did your training did you live in an accomadation also how would yo u even beable to get a car.... You are so pretty by the way
I do not live in the accommodation provided. It is very different now to when I joined so anyone who joins now will have to live in the accommodation ☺️
Hello sophie love your vlogs, could you just provide some light for me here, i have just cleared my F1 interview last week in nottingham & i am waiting for my golden call( hope i get it🤞🏻) , can i ask u how long u had to wait after ur final interview to know the rest procedures and get a call from them. I am really nervous rn and i just want to work for EK(one of the few airlines out there with all wide body aircrafts in its fleet) .
I cleared the interview after 7 long years of struggle, i hope i make it all the way this time🤞🏻, thankyou for the amazing videos without sugarcoating like the other vloggers do

I know the working conditions and the expectations of the company. But honestly I don't care because it's part of my passion and it's my favourite companion
