It is water proof coz u can see there was another layer of black plastic after talking off the back glass that black thing protects from water. Until that thing is damaged then u can say its no longer water proof otherwise its alright coz water proof it doesnt have anything to do with back glass
I strongly advise you don't, that 'glue' is more like a superglue/liquid cement, and not only make the rear glass hard to remove in the future, but it's very messy and can permanently seize the physical buttons if you apply too much. Use some 2mm 3M double-sided adhesive tape instead.

Don't use glue it will be messy, just clear silicon. This will require 24hrs to cure but so much easier to remove excess and it will be waterproof
