To me, this song has a hopeful feeling. A feeling that even in despair, even when the world is falling apart, even if everything meant nothing, there is still hope. It still feels bleak, but it feels hopeful rather than disparaging.
Late to the party (?) but the one that's playing the piano is the one that composes the songs for supercell. I think he's the one behind the composition for attack on titan ost as well, as well as others. Loved your reaction, glad you liked this one!

Besideshow much the anime gets shit on for being "mid". Its still worth a watch. Its been my guilty pleasure watch since seeing it the first time. Like what you like and all that -shrugs- And the ending didnt bug me at all hell its a better leave off then about 90% of whats out thier from my experiences anyway xD If you understand it anyway.
