The HS130A which is the newer version at about $229 retail plus ship plus tax. Just bought it not realizing the difference with the older model in my backyard practice golf net it was able to capture data as low as 25mph for short game practice. And I compared it to my GC Quad and they were both reading practically identical. With the short time I had with both the GC Quad and the PRGR I hadn't noticed any real big difference in captured readings. I use to bring my GC Quad to the range but it attracts too much attention and distracts from my practice so I needed something small pocket size and inconspicuous relatively accurate to give me data that helps guide my swing practice.
I don't think reviewing an older version of the PRGR makes sense here in 2023 except to inform the differences between version 1 vs version 2. I think the newest version the PRGR HS130A belongs in everybody's golf training pocket. Its small compact and provides much needed info to aide in grooving that swing. I also use the PRGR to confirm the data on my GC Quad and vice versa. Thanks for putting this up I guess you made aware of the drawbacks of the older version.

The intention was to review the older model based on the cost of $100 to see if it was worth it for those beginning golfers just getting into the game that may be operating on a tight budget. Thank you for your input and I am happy to hear that the new version kept up with a GC Quad.

I am so glad to see this. I bought the newer model and was starting to get disappointed after watching this video while I wait on it to ship. Good to know the 130a is better.

I agree with this review, I was lucky to get 60% of my swings to produce stats, other than swing speed. I was very excited to buy this after other reviews were so positive. But it is a bummer to hit a sweet shot and look for feedback and just get swing speed. I have returned one of my units thing i got a "lemon" but the second one is even worse. Lest you think its operator error, I was hoping it was, but it is pretty easy to set up. Bummed it has not lived up to expectations. Will be returning the second unit. :(

I did enjoy how easy it was to set that unit up but ultimately it just wasn't accurate. I am currently using the Mevo from Flightscope and I am very happy with it.

If there was wet weather outside, air is more humid and balls dont fly as far. PRGR doesnt know that.

Will this give me accurate club speed on all clubs without hitting ball…
I just wanna work on club head speed with my driver.
