    Yes I know that the points are wrong in that last list. The list itself is right, I just had some copy-paste errors when I put it into the slides :) The list itself is:
    Alpha w. Moonstone Club
    Calthia Xandire w. +1 Base Damage Blessing
    Haskel Hexbane
    Quiet Pock w. +1 Strength Blessing
    5x Huanchi's Claw

      So, Hunters of Huanchi, except not really Hunters of Huanchi. Got it.😂

    I’m foolish enough to make these guys my first army. Thanx for your great breakdowns on functionality

    I totally misplayed the hurled bolas but yeah love their playstyle. Just wish the points were better balanced outside the Claw

      It doesn't take alot imo; 60 point blowpipe skinks are real playable as an alternative

    You see the love they gave hunters for this latest erretta?

      its a sidestep imo; the hit to slippery is pretty big.

    I've got 2 sets of Hunters of Huanchi. I know they're not the best but very fun to paint. Did mine as chameleons with multiple tropical colors. Fun to base too! Question for you, I hate playing against the KO's both in AoS and WC. Is there good answer for them in Warcry? Who would you take against them? Thanks as always!

      Unfortunately KO are pretty much the best warband in the game so most games into them will be tough. Ideally you want to neutralise their big guns first (Aethercannon and mortar) so either run into them to stop them from shooting your units easily or else you can ally something strong and long ranged of your own to try and take them out before you are shot yourself.

      @@OffMetaMusings might try the Mawpack with the 6” jump double to close the gap. 👍🏼

    Great video! So good it almost made me reconsider taking on a Hunters of Huanchi project. But I'm currently eyeball deep in Wildercorps with a similar approach. Have you concluded that HoH do what they and Wildercorps do, hands down better than Wildercorps? I had an interesting game yesterday against Destruction Soup with Moggoth and a Tyrant, running Calthia, an Annihilator Prime with Meteoric Hammer, a Warden with Hound, an Arbalester and x5 Trail Hounds. Having the hounds go two for two on taking actions away from Moggoth and the Tyrant was sweet, but with the core book mission of having to hold two objectives I was able to out position my opponent by battle round 2 while also taking down three+ enemy fighters, including Moggoth. I never got to use the reaction disengage because my opponent one-shot killed my arbalester and two hounds.

      I sure have! I took WIldercorps to an event at WHW in November and came 4th (ruclips.net/video/t6JtOwawKH4/видео.html). I feel like that between the two warbands, they really are a sidestep from eachother, especially with Pock filling in the same role as the Arbalester. When I did play them though, I really missed the M6 that the skinks bring to the table vs the M4 of the Wildercorps so it depends on what you want; if it's a better maneuverability game then I'd say go for the Hunters, if it's more damage as a tradeoff for that lost maneuverability then the Wildercorps are what you want, though I wasn't missing the extra damage from my event in Feburary and still came 3rd with the Skinks :)

    What do you put into your Dagger/Shield/Hammer? Im looking to try the Divine Bleesing 5x claw's but I never know how to set the groups up

    • @OffMetaMusings
      @OffMetaMusings  5 месяцев назад +1

      I'm a real big fan of a strong hammer so if I'm playing the Calthia/Haskel/Pock combo for example, they'll usually go in my hammer (because they get the most out of Calthia's ability: Pock to shoot and Haskel to move under normal situations) and then 3x Claw usually in my shield and 1x Alpha, 2x Claw in my Dagger. Reason for the Alpha in my dagger is that in core book missions you want fast moving stuff in your dagger for treasure and there is the slight possibility for the Alpha to do some decent disruption with his triple.

      @offmetamusings. Would this be the same running the Aether-Khemist?

    • @OffMetaMusings
      @OffMetaMusings  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, it depends on what you are combo-ing the Khemist with, but if you are looking to take it as your only ally, you want to have him with as many claws as possible to boost their shooting.

    The cathia, haskel, pock combo is super strong. Why even play hunters of huanchi with it. Other warbands would be much much better.

    • @OffMetaMusings
      @OffMetaMusings  4 месяца назад

      Ultimately Hunters of Huanchi are one of the best disruption warbands in order; you kind of need to give space for Pock to do his thing and the Claws speed and reaction wasting opponent's action economy combined with the bonus mobility and action econ from Calthia really helps Pock shine.
