- This tutorial is a special request to show how I did the covers on the Envelope Card Mini. This is a quick and easy way to cover chipboard for your mini albums that you are going to bind with your Cinch, Bind It All, or to put together with rings.

Why on Earth has it never occurred to me to do EVERY chipboard piece this way?! They just don't stay glued and the borders come apart after a while, even with spray on adhesive. This just makes sense!!
Watching this in 2021! The tutorial is super helpful!
Thanks babies are great!!!! Guess what? SUCCESS! It worked perfectly. I did it without chipboard I had 12 x12 cardboard backing from my paper packs that I used and it worked great. You are totally awesome. Best ever.
Thanks so much for doing this for me, I really appreciate it. It made all the diference in the world. I can't believe you did this so fast with the arrival of the new one coming so soon. I too am expecting a new niece in the next few weeks. So congrats on your pending arrival.

You are so welcome!!! I am glad it helped. Also congrats to you on your pending arrival. I cannot wait! Babies are so much fun. Hugs!!
Hi,There are other ways to bind the album besides using the Cinch. You can use your Crop-A-Dile and punch holes in the binding and add metal rings or you could punch holes and string it with ribbon. Either one will work. I think the rings are more sturdy than the ribbon is. Hope that helps!
Hi, I am glad it worked out well for you. The cardboard backing is a great idea and a good way to recycle. Take care!
Thank you, you're wonderful
I just bought that paper pack a couple of days ago at Jo-Anne's, so it is still in the stores. Beautiful papers!
Thanks for the great tips on the corners -- it's a big help. :)
Great Job! Just what I was looking for.
First I would like to say thank you for this tutorial, your Video explains everything exactly that I needed to learn in order to make scrapbooks for my children. I would also like to ask what is designer paper is it just card stock paper at a different thickness? I was going to use regular wrapping paper on chipboard covers.
Hi Xyita, Thanks for your nice comment. This designer paper is a heavy patterned cardstock. I think it will work better than regular wrapping paper. I think the wrapping paper would tear easily. This would hold up a lot better. TFW!
Thank you for doing this tutorial. Great tips.
Thank you! The paper I used to do the demo is from K & Co. It is an older collection and is designed by Susan Winget. The name of the collection is Botanical . I did a video where I made a mini from the collection. If you are interested in all the papers you can take a look at that. I will put a link in the description box to that video. TFW!
Thank you so much for the tutorial!! I really appreciate the tips!! Hugs Heather
Hello! Just started my December Daily and cut a sheet and didn't leave any extra around the sides. Oooops...so used it for the back. Then left extra on my next sheet. Making my own December Daily from chipboard. Thanks for this video. It's wonderful.
Well, a lot of people like to cover it that way and not wrap it, so it should still work. I just like the look of the wrap around. Good luck with your December Daily! TFW!
Thanks that helped me out!
You were very helpful. Thank you.
You're wonderful
I have a question if you do not use the machine to make the whiles how can you do it?
Plz, what kind of tape did you use??? Is it “SCOR TAPE”??? Also, im a little confused.. you mention using a glue stick below.. Do you use the tape and a glue stick??? Thank you in advance..
Hi Dianne, Yes it is Scor-tape. You can use the tape or a wet glue. Whatever your preference is. You do not use both. If you use a glue stick make sure it is a permanent glue stick. The other ones don't stick as well and your book will fall apart. Hope that helps! TFW!
Dsscrapie Thank you so much! Im subscribing to your ch.. Your books are BEAUTIFUL!👍👍👍
Thank you for this video...I've made 2 journals using your tips. However, I am having a hard time with gluing the cover to the chipboard. I use 2 sided tape and it releases repeatedly. I've tried tacky glue, and though it works, it's a mess. I am having such a hard time finding a glue that works with your technique which makes such a wonderfully finished product. Can you help?! ....frustrated in Indy!
Hi Linda, sorry you're having problems. I like to use a permanent glue stick. I cover the chipboard really well with the glue and go over it two or three times then stick on the cardstock. It always holds well for me. I like to use a brayer or bone folder to go over it to adhere it well. You could use a craft glue stick also, just make sure it is a permanent glue. Hope this works out for you. Let me know if you have anymore problems. Good Luck!
Another thought might be the two sided tape you are using. I wonder if it is strong enough? I realize I used tape in the video but I often use the glue stick.
Dsscrapie I got so many different two sided tape and glues it's not funny! Can you give me a brand of permanent glue stick you have success with? Thank you so much for your prompt reply.
Linda LeBlanc I like to use Avery Permanent Glue Stick. It does say Permanent on the front above the wording. You can find it most places. Let me know how it goes!
Dsscrapie Thank you. Yes, all the 2 sided tapes I use are permanent. I'm going to by Avery! Thank you for your help!
What is the thickness of the chipboard youre using for this book?
.
Hi Marcie, I used a medium weight chipboard for this book. You could use any weight you wanted. The way it is done it would not matter how thick it was. I just like to use the medium. Hope that helps! TFW!
