I love oasis and I’ve always sort of found it refreshing how honest and blunt both of the brothers are. If you don’t like them, they don’t legitimately seem to care. Even if you do like them it seems as well. The conflict between those two brothers will likely never end, even if they ever do get back together.

I'm not sure what's confusing about it. It's not like either of them are sitting at home doing nothing, both Gallagher brothers regularly release music and tour and play a fair amount of Oasis songs live if you want to hear them go to a show. He started with The Vandals, he's the drummer for A Perfect Circle, he used to play for NIN. Yes he's played for pop artists because that's how he makes his money. He's a hell of alot more than "Katy Perry's drummer."

It's a piece of piss to write a song, but it's very hard to write a good one, and NG's work for years has been, in my opinion, pretty damn awful, especially his solo stuff. You can't deny that LG has been far more successful than his brother (even NG agrees), either. I just think NG thinks he's far better than what he is, and his solo work proves that he needs his brother more than LG needs him, given that LG is a far, far better singer & frontman.

Noel was the same about Michael Stipe for years, but then they're all pals again, posing together on instagram. It's just the way the Gallagher brothers play, they play rough - Noel doesn't hate Dave Grohl (he thinks Nirvana were great, I've heard him say so), he just gets pissed off at Liam constantly tweeting about a reunion and all that, and Dave Grohl getting involved, when as far as Noel's concerned, he's just trying to get on with his life. I used to know somebody who knows Noel, that's just the way the Gallaghers are, and in a way, it's admirable, because all these years of fame and success and they still refuse to 'play the game' and be diplomatic say that everybody's great and amazing and wonderful. Somebody pisses them off, they say so.
