There's an easy "cold weather start button" in the centre of the stop lever on the injection pump that you press in before you crank & it pops out when the engine starts, they fire up alot faster also handy to bleed an airlock 👍
@@BlakesDen My friend had the same problem, we took it to a place to get it fixed, we were told New York style "forget about it". We're getting one through eBay, a Lucas C40. My friend has a 62 Sunbeam Alpine, he wants to keep it original even though I told him to get an alternator. 👍

When I hooked up my multimeter to the bridge wire I’m getting 14.6 volts when I spin it up

There is something wrong if you only get 0.7volts spinning it up. Less than what an AA battery can produce.

Great story! Alternators are a lot more reliable. You can get them now that looks like dynamos but they are expensive.
