Stress cannot be underestimated. I had a boss in corporate who aged decades in a year. She looked horrible. Her husband got a contract and she was able to quit her job. In two weeks (only two weeks) her looks, skin and everything reversed. Completely. It had to have been the most incredible transformation I have ever witnessed in my life. I won’t ever forget that. I make it a point to not let anything get to me. It’s not worth the stress. For real.

I hear you on the stress. Absolutely it needs to be taken seriously. I was in a 23 year marriage and my ex always stressed me out by being disrespectful towards me. I had 3 surgeries that needed to be treated immediately. That sucked. I am now going to be married again and I am very happy. I live a stress free life. That's what my husband is willing to offer me. Peace and relaxation. I am in my mid 40s and it will stay that way til I die. Stress is horrible and I was lucky to leave a miserable marriage into a healthy one. Prayers are essential 🙏

As a teenager who had really bad acne, I really wish my dermatologists would have asked me about my diet and informed me about the changes I would need to make for better skin, versus putting me on Accutane twice. Of course as a kid, teenager and adult in my twenties, I ate like garbage but thankfully was athletic as I played soccer in college, lifted and snowboarded too. Not like that active lifestyle counterbalanced my horrid diet in regards to my skin, but I guess it just steered me away from other health issues. I'm in my 30s and recently went to the dermatologist for my noticeable increase in acne. I asked if there were holistic ways to help with acne, since I've never really had it my whole life, only when I was eating unhealthily. He said "if it were that simple, we'd all have clear skin" and immediately put me on a prescription medication that I never used. Turns out my body got really sensitive to dairy and after eliminating that from my diet, my skin cleared up a lot.

A lot to agree on here Dr. Eric. This is pretty much what I DON'T do every day with some finesses added to it as my experimenting progress. It's exiting what food can do to the human body in terms of sense of well being, health and performance. In that order I found. As a child and a young adult I had no clue and sense of this hidden world playing its part on my body. I just couldn't feel it. So much else to think about. My help came in the form of foods and the good old torture. Torture for not feeling ok added a bonus of me not getting the flue, cough or clogged nose in what is now going to be my 4th year which then led to me performing well also. The torture I felt when eating many of the the wrong foods you mentioned above was making me stop eating it because I'm a sissy who can't deal with pain. Please don't ask me how that works it just is for me.

I eat mainly meat, fish, dairy products, honey and fruit. Hardly any vegetables and no cereals or starches. As far as dairy products are concerned, I consume unpasteurized raw milk from good farms, and the difference between this and a pasteurized non-organic skimmed milk from a supermarket is like night and day. The taste of the raw milk is very good and this milk doesn’t give me acne at all

I never had acne. For the last several decades I have taken vitamins like E and A and omega 3 along with many others.
At 74 I show little sign of wrinkling skin. I swim most days for exercise and am in the sun a lot. I just turn brown, dark brown. I'm glad my father was Italian. 😅😂
The UV index here is very high even "extreme," this year.
Doing the things Dr. Berg says will keep you healthy. When you are healthy you will be happy.

Chocolate candy was my nemesis and I didn’t even realize it. It was my go to stress food during my tax prep season. I figured it out when I had a long stretch without it and noticed my acne completely cleared. I eat it in moderation now, as a treat not a food group 😅Don’t eat many sweets anymore either.

TO THOSE WITH ACNE READ THIS > ...... Milk and dairy is the culprit for many! Not just that, but the hormones given to the cattle do something that makes the milk make acne.... It took me till about 20 to figure it out. Im selling you nothing, just giving you a test to find out if that is the cause for you...... That test would be to cut all, and I mean ALL dairy! For at least 3 days, make it a week if you can, ( but you will notice improvements sooner...) but cut all dairy, be vigilant, remember when you do this it is a test so you know..... Dr. Berg did mention this in brief at 6:40 ... Try it if you have acne, so at least you can control it by what you eat.....

I've known for a long time the connection between good skin and diet, but my addiction to junk food has prevented me from sticking to just healthy eating. I do have some sensitivities to even 'good' foods so it has always been a challenge to start a new diet. But this video is a great motivator to try again!

Until I turned 39 someone told me about this allergy also to pork meat I stopped immediately and my acne almost disappeard later I started low carb then keto diet now of course I am "old" the scars are still there but getting better.

Just thought I would share my experience with my skin. Sometimes I would say my symptoms are psoriasis like, other times it seems more like rosacea. Been dealing with it for a long time.
So far, the clearest skin I’ve ever had was when I did carnivore for 30 days recently. This includes intermittent fasting, sobriety, taking D3/K2 20,000 IU and fish oil everyday also. Zero veggies, zero carbs/sugar, and zero fiber. I have many plant food sensitivities.

    • @stefanie7588
      @stefanie7588 Год назад +7

Carnivore helped me a lot too. I also am sensitive to plants, especially potatoes. I think I will have to reduce or cut out the dairy next time though as I did not completely clear up. The best part of carnivore was that my skin had such great color (usually I am pale) and I got muscular with zero workouts.

I take krill oil for my omega 3's. Krill oil, like fish oil, is a rich source of omega-3s, and it also offers antioxidants and vitamin A. Fish oil contains more omega-3s than krill oil. Krill oil, on the other hand, has the advantage of having a lot of phospholipids, which help your body better absorb omega-3s. Also, there isn't that awful fishy taste of cod liver oil and fish oil supplements. Hey, Dr Berg, maybe you could do a vid on krill oil. Dr Mercola seems to think very highly of krill oil. yeah

I stopped drinking alcohol and doing fasting, following Dr. Eric Berg and eating healthy and now I only wear a little bit of make up for specific occasions. I have also lost weight, my state of mind has never been better. I can think clearer and I am overall more energetic. I could go on, but this sums it up. Finally, I had gotten to the point where I was worried about my health all the time and scared that something was wrong with my body. I no longer feel that way.

If i could have my time again and educate myself on diet to fix my skin instead of going to a dermatologist to get accutane my life would be unbelievably better. My diet is has made me feel incredible and my skin is great as long as i stick to it. Accutane unfortunately destroyed the glands in my eyes and i cant stress enough how much you dont want this to happen, acne you can fix. Meibomium gland disorder is not curable. Eyes are so much more important. Do not go to the dermatologist as the initial fix for acne. Acne is just a blatant sign something is wrong with your diet. I eat pasture raised eggs, grass fed beef and wild caught salmon as well as low gi fruits and some lower omega 6 tree nuts and i feel great. Its more along the lines of paul saladinos diet and has thrown in a bit of dr bergs teachings such as high fat intake and taking out seed oils to cook with and replacing it with olive oil and beef fat but overall it makes a huge difference to my skin as ironically after being on accutane acne still plays a huge part of my life.

Long-time watcher, Dr., as always, thank you.
I am 53, and I am trying to build more muscle mass along with HIIT and weight resistance training. For strength and capability, as well as fat-burning potential with resting metabolic rate.
Therefore, I have questions about protein powders, because it's impractical for me to be only intaking eggs and meat proteins after my lunchtime workouts. I do eat sardines, and leftover chicken or pork, but I don't think I'm getting enough protein from just those (I am intaking my greens, too). Articles on the internet show that whey protein is the best in terms of absorption and muscle growth, but then I reviewed this video.
I am intaking these right now, but I was about to either order plant-based or whey protein next, but do you think these are okay?
    - pure coconut protein?
    - pea protein?
I mix these pure forms with pure cocoa and stevia so they're palatable. Any recommendations is appreciated!
