- In today’s Photoshop tutorial I’ll show you a cocktail of adjustments that mimic the outlines, colours, and shading of a digitally painted image automatically, without the need to trace, paint or draw by hand. This effect can be applied to any image to transform a real photograph into an illustrated cartoon graphic.

Brilliant! I like how you used the filter Cutout. I've never thought to adjust that in smart filters. Much better results than I've had in the past.

only thing i would have added was to use the pen tool to clean up some of those color edges. they are very rough if you zoom in a little.
Good tip! I don't think there's a way clean up the edges that would still work when updating the image in the Smart object, but for a final result that would be a useful step!
@@spoongraphics yay you can just use a couple of quick splines and dab the color and fill into a new layer for skin and clothing. oil paint does the hair just fine
I don’t understand how to put the effect on a new photo 😭
This is my first time using this app and im trying to follow you step by step but I can cause you don't show how to start it the right way by adding the picture
