It bothered me how the 2002 remaster of Symphonic Suite Akira did a great job on almost everything except making the bass on this track so loud you can't hear some instruments like the pan flute at 02:37. This version was made by running the 2002 mix through a low pass filter and then mixing it with the original 1988 version. Unfortunately youtube's copyright bot blocks videos with the 1988 version of the Akira soundtrack, so any future mixes will be uploaded to Odysee

To this day I still couldn't find Exodus from the Underground Fortress track that was played in 2001 dub, the version with the chimes and guitar toned down

I don't think that's the track I've been looking for, if you could please have a listen to the same title track in this one ruclips.net/video/GjcN_EtlZTs/видео.html which is a 2001 Pioneer dub with some tracks toned down such as Kaneda's Theme (full track during the end credits). From 9:43 to 12:35, you can hear the same pitch of the drums but the cymbals, chimes and whistles were toned down to the point it's barely audible with the SFX going on meanwhile the drums are well heard. I think it was intended to have the first few seconds of EotUG be the same then tone down the non-drum instruments for the rest of the track in the 2001 Pioneer dub.
The link you provided, when it hits 1:24 the drums sounds very lower, almost like they're bass drums in the opinion of my ears. Hope you understand, still thank you for providing that track, another fine additional to my collection!
@@kingofgarbagemountain ruclips.net/video/t7oi84lzu1k/видео.html I mean this link, I posted the wrong video, sorry! Also, 10:4 to 12:35, not 9:43 to 12:35. I have no idea which French dub this one is but it has the exact same OST as 2001 English Pioneer dub does.
So different but nostalgic without the sound effects and voice acting.
Every time I hear this piece, I think of this scene or the riot scene at the beginning of the movie.
