    Nice upgrade there, mate. I have that Eco mode as well (it protects battery from draining/getting dead).
    The radio in the 206 looks beautiful, sadly it's not available here where I live. I am wondering if I can fit one from either 307 facelift or 207 (yeah I need plug adapter for it).

    Hi, that was a good instructional video and showed parts that I am interested. it relates to a Pug 206cc. I need to fit a solar battery charger to keep the battery good whilst away for a long period. Can you suggest the best connection point in the interior fuse board to make a direct connection to the battery (not via ignition switch). There is a plug in the center with just large RED and Black cables, would this be a good connection site for both positive and negative using scotchlock connectors?

    Thanks this is super helpful. I bought a like for like replacement for my Pug 206cc radio - so its the Clarion one you were replacing, when I swapped over; all works fine except it beeps an alarm every 30 seconds.. I assume that means I need to enter a code somewhere, but when at and where do I find the said code please?

    In my previous Peugeot Halfords fitted a BT radio (Kenwood) and I lost most of the info that comes up on the screen above the radio. Was this their mistake or is the same likely to happen? I’ve got an identical 206cc 94 as your demo. Thanks.

    • @PJsprojects

      It's possible to get a display adapter that would make your original display work with an aftermarket radio but these are pretty expensive so most people don't bother.
      Halfords did nothing wrong it's just the way it is on certain cars with a remote radio display.

    Hi mate, wondering if you could help me, I have a 2003 citroen C5, I've put an ignition Live to the cigarette lighter on a double fuse connector all works as you said but once you turn the car off and leave it for about ten minutes, you lose the time, you don't lose the preset FM channels or where the cd was upto. But it does go on to DAB and you have to press the button to get back to cd or FM. I have tried putting red to yellow and yellow to red and that just immediately loses the time the second you turn the key off. It's on a Pioneer DEH-S720DAB Car Stereo. Any help would be really appreciated. I don't know if I should move the inline fuse to another ignition Live or whether I need to get the iso adapter.
    Thanks Anthony.

    Hi great video, really informative. I have just bought an after-market radio for my 206 but I've also had to buy a DAB antenna. Could you tell my what the best way of installing this would be? I want to hide the wires behind the pillar but Im worried I'll break the casing as I try to pull it away. Also, how can I feed the cable behind the glove compartment? Is there a way to get to that area?

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  5 лет назад +1

      The A trim panel is on tight fitting clips and should pop off or if your worried run the cable across the top where it meets the roof liner and then down the edge of the rubber door seal.
      As for the glove box your best to go under it. You should find a felt trim cover under the dashboard that unclips so you can run the cables along the bottom of the dash and then cover them up with the felt trim.

      @@PJsprojects thanks so much. I was able to pop off the panel in the end and then it was just a case of threading the aerial down and behind the glove box. You're right it does go more under than behind. Anyway all sorted now. Thanks again!

      First make sure the radio does not self turn off after 10mins.
      Peugeot cars have a delay on the ignition live power feed so hence the delay. For an instant power off with ignition you will need to run another power cable from the fuse box, find a circuit that goes of with inhibition such as heater.

    Hi, very helpful video. I just have one question. We are installing a Sony universal unit. She turns on without the adaptor but isn't turning off with the ignition switch. I read somewhere about it being to do with the multiplex system (it's a peugeot 206 2005 model) and I'm wondering if it's something to do with this? Or maybe we need to attach the yellow wire to the red (which it suggests in the manual). Thanks

      You will find the radio does in fact turn off after a few mins of the ignition key being removed. If you want it to go off as soon as the key is removed then you will need to take the radios red wire to the cars fuse box and connect it to a switched live by either soldering to the correct wire at the rear of the fuse box or use a plug in fuse spur to double up on which ever fuse you use.
