- Is the clock/multi-function display very dim or not illuminating at all in your Peugeot 206 from years 2002 to 2009 ?. You may only need to replace the bulbs to fix the problem. The bulbs are 12 volt, 1.2 watt 286 wedge type bulbs. It is possible to replace the bulbs without having to disconnect the wiring and fully remove the unit, but it’s a lot more difficult. Didn't had to replace the Bulbs thankfully but had to replace the Entire Unit which this video was extremely helpful. Now I know how to do that and disconnect the Battery. Thanks for the Good Video!

Thanks man! I was going nuts , but now I'm just crazy after changing bulbs. Cheers!

In my case the display crystals seem to have gone bad but I’ll try to change the bulbs first, if it doesn't work now I know how to change the unit! Thank you!

Can you build a bigger screen from the 206 + in a regular 206?
I don't know, sorry
Gracias
Tnx bro 😊

Hello, thanks for video, my clock resets time and date everytime I power on the car , what's the reason could be ?
You're welcome. Is the car the battery old ?. That issue can be a symptom of the battery starting to fail and causing the voltage to drop too low when starting the engine, which can reset the clock display
@@screwsnutsandbolts yes it's old, thank you
Super 👍
Thank you 👍
Good video i have to do that to mine, thanks
Thanks ! :)
Show! Obrigado!
Thanks for watching !

You're welcome!
I have a peugeot 206 2000 where the display is only a clock can I change it with one like the one you have? Or are the cables and connectors not the same?
I'm not sure, sorry
hello, do you know if this fixes the issue when the display doesn't show a part of one number, its like #1:13 ( "#" is incomplete number ). Also, thank you for doing this video!
That sounds more like a faulty display unit. I don't think this will fix it
Thank you very much, this helped me a lot.
Glad it helped!
👍
Tengo una bombilla fundida
No need to unscrew the minus on the battery, when the plus has an easy snap on
This is a bad idea, do not do this! The negative of a battery is connected to ground/chassis meaning if that positive you disconnected touches a metal part of the car you could damage some electronics
@@JayKayX71
If the disconnected positive battery lead is the only lead connected to the battery then it's not possible for anything bad to happen after it's disconnected.
I usually disconnect both negative & positive when working on the car though.
I have a question : I only need to change the big piece with the warning button. Do I need to touch the battery or can I just connect and disconnect without touching the battery ?
Do you have a link to where i can buy the bulb?
You can buy them on Ebay: www.ebay.ie/itm/381385787628?hash=item58cc5d48ec:g:g3UAAOxyyghQ8~WS
