  • Today let's take a look at a #ClassicRock #guitar #solo from the 2000s which went a long way to showing that rock music was very much alive & kicking despite claims to the contrary.

I saw them live last year here in Switzerland. It was fantastic. They played the "permission to land " album. A lot of fun and a few beer.🍻🤘🏻🎸🇨🇭

I was listening to Permission To Land yesterday for the first time in ages, it still sounds great!

I just knew you would feature The Darkness, their song 'Open Fire' seriously rocks among many others! I think they timed it perfectly and actually saved Hard Rock.

Fantastic song. Love Growing on Me as well. The album after that was unfairly judged. It's different but also bloody fun.

The Darkness is such an epic band. Needs more recognition in my opinion.

Justin is a very talented chap and Dan rocked a Thin Lizzy T-shirt on stage - that makes them ok in my book! 👍

I don;t think Dan has changed that shirt....yet LOL!

Looooooove the Darkness! The guitar and songwriting on that first album were phenomenal.
Also, always loved this solo as well.
    Nice! Thanks so much!

The album is great! Even the guy who sold it to me at Tesco said so! They've got a really good catalogue - no real media attention though. Check out "Rock and Roll Deserves to Die". Many thanks for the video.

I'm over in the U.S. I don't remember ever listening to the group "The Darkness" at all.🤔

Check 'em out. A fun band who know how to rock like it's 1979 👍
