This was an awesome discussion. Engineering, design/style, and of course the main event with the cigars and wine. Congratulations, and can’t wait to see the finished product.
Kirby, I sure hope you are documenting your new home construction! We would love to see the latest methods and materials! Thanks for the Berlutti knot video.
Another excellent video. When Kirby mentioned the local contractor my initial reaction was a 'sovereign grade contractor who can show case the quality, tradition and craftsmanship of the trade'. Perhaps one too many videos recently have been enjoyed. Looking forward to seeing the remainder of the process Kirby even though I have no personal interest in cigars or wine. It's a great suggestion to get some good friends over for the unveiling of the finished product.
Unfinished Spanish cedar blocks to the same measurements as popular cigar box sizes. Would be a interesting product for the store. A passive backup for humidity is always valuable, & art or pattern could burned in for display.
I wish you would give Nicaraguan and Dominican tobacco a chance! There are some amazing people pumping out some amazing blends across several different companies! I use to think Cubans were the only way to go! Until I tried some amazing blends from other countries!
Will be very interesting seeing the final result of this walk-in-humidor. But I also have a question, what are some relatively cheap and beginner friendly cigars that you would recommend?
Their promo material you showed looks a lot like the room The Collector on RUclips has for his massive gun collection. That might be a fun collaboration video. You visiting Gge Collector and seeing what fine rifles, pistols and shotguns he has. He has quite the extensive collection of firearms and I'm sure that he would have some bespoke pieces. Maybe not. Another great collaboration would be with you and Manny Khoshbin. He has quite the car collection and that is what he is most famous on RUclips for, however he is known for his cigar collection and I believe at his new office building, he is building a walk in humidor. His clothes are mostly T-shirts from the car brands he has, but he is so well known with Hermes, they did the interior for 2 of his hyper cars.
The 70/70 is not the gold standard. It was happy medium between convenience and ideal temp/humidity. The 70/70 rule was introduced way back before Boveda packs and electronically controlled humidors were around. Ethelyn glycol at the time was one of the few ways to maintain a decent humidity level and people generally maintained 70 via air conditioning. Now days, we have a plethora of methods at our disposal to maintain more ideal humidity levels for aging which are in the 65% range.
That's not what was said in the video, watch again and pay attention. Never does he say 70 70 is the gold standard, his comment was relative to what effect temperature has on humidity.
Green with envy! And a very good video too! A bit technical at times but I learnt a lot, which for me is the hallmark of a good video. Well done Kirby!
Today i'm building a 6 bedroom mansion around my walk in humidor. But why stop there? I've also decided to build a city around my 6 bedroom mansion too. So join me today for more Concrete and Cigars.
I visited the Grosvenor Chester.James Mason suite….the Arkle cigar room has gone Kirby. Very disappointed, as it’s a bastion of English hotels to stay for the flat racing season
Another imposter pushing the 70/70 rule. I am very disappointed that Kirby would allow this man to spew his B.S. The Sahakians would not agree with these claims or techniques of cigar husbandry.
If you have a walk-in humidor, you're smoking way too many cigars. I smoke about 4-5 a year. I think that a safe level. There is a health risk with this activity.
Kirby you are absolutely crazy ... in a good way! Hope to see a tour of the finished room soon.
As an architecture student, this episode was a treat! Thank you, Kirby!

Loved this episode, please keep us updated and thank you kirby.
Congrats! You're gonna love it! You should have the Sahakians come to christen it.
Best video yet! This is the dream! Can’t wait to watch this build.
Come visit New Hampshire Kirby. We can get fitted for a bespoke flannel shirt. 😊
Charles Griffiths' two books on his desk. Churchill and Washington. Both very well written.
We pretty much go through the same process when designing our custom closets
Kirby is keeping us hungry for his Cuba videos! Love it man.

I would love your first tour of your walk-in humidor to be with the the Sahakians (Eddie and Edward)
Kirby, please do a video of what you are packing for the coronation... I'm going also...thanks!
Kirby, all Im gonna say is if you need a home to relocate that other humidor youre upgrading from, Im always available :D
Was just looking at walk in humidor videos recently. Will you do a cost break down for this? Thanks
Cool 👍
Very nice Kirby ...
I recommend a space for your spirits bottles
I enjoyed this. 😊

Oh my goodness! You might as well just add a second floor on the office, haha.
What is that on the gentleman's dest? Is that a humidor?

How's the new home coming, Kirby?

I dont drink or smoke , but so interested in this
Update on your coffee machine - its been very quiet
If the collection is getting so big you need a walk in, why don’t you share some with your subs 😊
What is the cost of something like this?
A video without the word "proper" is not a proper Kirby Alison video :D
💯👍👍
damn bro let me over your house

Good for you. People who build humidors like this tend to need storage for aging cigars in addition to smoking them.
@niemand Where did I say otherwise? The space is for aging and storage, IN ADDITION to smoking what you already smoke. No need to be a prick.
4-5 a year? 7-10 a week.
A single puff has a health risk comrade. A sip of alcohol.. processed food. Moderation is just to make you feel better
