@@zz7733 maybe because she's asian. In asia, oyster sauce is like staple condiments for most of the dish. Thus, we have it all the time, and it's cheap here in asia. In my country, it cost around 1 usd dollar/ bottle. You may skip it if you don't have it.

Habib Rahman Hi! We as a family always make sure that we would celebrate the actual events at home be it Eid, birthdays, anniversaries, etc., then only we would go for at least a short getaway (about a week) the day after, where surprises and other fun stuff occurs.

This is delicious! I’ve made it a number of times. For me, it’s a bit too salty so I: -don’t add salt to pasta water because when I add back some of it I don’t want the salt -reduce the salt in the ginger paste -use a mix of light soy sauce and regular soy sauce or only light soy sauce Love how it turns out!!

I’m Japanese, and I must say love love love this pasta! It literally took me only 10 min to cook, and oh my goodness it was one of the best pastas I have had in years! Thank you so much Marion! I usually prepare prawns before cooking to take the fishy smell away and add texture. Rub a bit of water, starch and salt onto peeled prawns in a bowl and rinse with fresh water. Wipe off the water with kitchen paper then drizzle prawns with a bit of sake, then stir fry them. Oh so tasty :)

The show is much better now with three enthusiastic new judges. However, I agree with the original poster that Marion should’ve been one of the new judges.
This is AMAZING! I cooked it already couple of times and it’s everyone’s favorite. The only thing is that I cut back a little bit on salt when cooking pasta otherwise it’s a bit too salty for my liking.

I like the fact that the ingredients are so easy to find in the traditional market here in my asian country😍. Usually i only cook recipe of bolognese and aglio olio. I cant even cook original carbonara because no pecorino and guanciale :D

I just tried this recipe, lovely! I added a bit of my own preferred flavour but kept the base as is! I also added shredded carrots, 2 table spoons of lemon juice and 1 spoon Condensed milk, and let it all simmer. Just Delicious!!! Please keep posting your great recipes. Carbonara is still delicious if you use bacon and any parmesan cheese you can find.

This mixture of flavours is heavenly. I switched my carbs. Used rice instead of pasta. Didn't change the flavours. It was sooo good!
