Best Intermediate MTB in Fruita, CO - Mary's, Horsethief Bench and Wrangler

- These three intermediate trails offer scenic and sweeping views of the Colorado River. Ride out along Mary's then drop down onto the single track on the Bench and experience fast-flowy riding with several tricky, technical obstacles. The south side of the bench provides you with incredible red-rock views rising above the Colorado River. Mary's starts out as a very easy, scenic singletrack then half way, transitions into an intermediate trail along the rim where you will also encounter short but steep climbs, and hand-build rock obstacles. Then finish off with a ripping, flowy descent down Wrangler to your parking lot.

Its one of my friend's all time favorite rides!
Yes it’s a pretty good trail, but the Fruita/Grand Junction region has a number of great trails…well worth an extended visit! Thanks for watching!
I sure missed out on some much better riding when I was there last year. Horsethief Bench has a real nice ring to it. Pretty sure I will end up walking the Horsethief Drop to get onto the Bench though. I ride a cross-country bike with 100mm travel, oh yeah, the skill-set also. Thanks Ron, I like your presentation. You hold your own on all different level of riding. What kind of bike you ride?
I have ridden the Bench three times but always walked the Drop, it might be a triple black or semi pro line. There are multiple lines but they all have serious consequences. I ride the first few feet of the trail but always bail out before it gets rough. There is so much great riding in the Kokopelli region that there are still a couple trails I need to explore. I ride a Giant Reign with 29” wheels with 170mm travel and an enduro geometry. So it’s great for steep gnarly descents. That’s more my thing, I can’t do jumps or gaps very well. Thanks for watching!!
@@ronsanderson99 thanks Ron. Good info. I will be watching plenty more of your vids.
