I just installed the step today. I had my share of problems getting the holes to line up like the people commenting below, as in I could not get them to budge. Thinking about the problem, it seemed to me the problem is that you are fighting the weight of the deck pulling on the frame. I have a Z330R, brand new so I might not be doing it right, but I was unable to get the deck lowered all the way to the ground...close but not all the way. So I used 2 - 15" cabinet lifting jacks that I have to lift the deck to take the pressure off the frame. With the deck raised, I was able to slide the frame almost effortlessly to get the holes lined up. I hope this helps.
I installed one on my z330r and it did not go anywhere near as smooth as this video showed. I was able to get the bolts out bit that was a chore in and of itself. Getting the new bolts in and the mounting plate on was the worst of it. I tried the technique demonstrated in this vid about foot by rear wheel and pushing on the caster arm. Didnt budge. After a lot of effort and frustration I finally dropped the front of the deck off to take weight off the front end and that was just enough to be able to get the bolts in. In my experience this is the only way to do it probably due to the extra weight of the 48 inch deck. I do appreciate the video however.
I am considering getting one. I assume there will be no interference with raising the deck all the way up? Will it make it slightly more difficult to do any work on the deck? Belts, pulleys, spindles , drop the deck, etc. or is it totally out of the way? Since that is your trimming edge, does it make it more difficult to see what's coming close to the deck as you approach it closely? I would have the 48A deck so it may be better than with the 42 shown in the video?

Is there a handle to assist getting on and off? A grab bar type thing
As of right now they do not, but hopefully in the future.

It should not cause you any problems at all. It is well placed where it is out of the way of any raising or maintenance you need to do.
Put new bolt in the first empty hole before removing second bolt...might help prevent shift. Just sayin'
Does this step and the foot props that go on the floor board only fit the 320r or will it fit a 330r too?
They will fit the Z330R as well.
