    That is a lot of car for the money. I love Mazda's...they are reliable and great looking in my opinion. If I needed a three row car I would buy this in a heart beat.

    The "combined output" statement referring to 280 HP is woefully incorrect. The gasoline engine output on regular gas is 280 HP period without the electric motor. Also please consider that the electric motor is not always charged and can become uncharged quite quickly if you do not do some braking.

    you can set the paddle shifters to stay in manual mode once they've been engaged in the vehicle settings. with this enabled, it won't shift back to automatic unless you press and hold the paddle shifter down to disable it.

    nice test drive for the speed. i wonder the diff between turbo s 340 hp vs base 280 hp speed test from 0 to 100 km . thanks

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1  Год назад +1

      The S is definitely quicker out the box but only by about 0.5-0.7 seconds. The s I’ve seen 0-60 from 5.3-6.0 and the turbo I’ve seen 5.8-6.7 depending on the launch so maybe wait a few months and there will be a tune that’d bring both models to about 400-450hp and 450-500 lbft. Then it’d be a monster regardless of which one you go with 👍🏼

    I love most everything about this car except the available cargo width in the back. It Fails the golf club test. I believe the cargo area width is 43.7 inches. For comparison out Audi Q5 and Subaru outback have wider back cargo areas. One of which with the little cutouts which fits a golf club bag is 50 inches. 6 wider than the much larger CX90

    • @ericschmitz357
      @ericschmitz357 Год назад +1

      What's the point? The third row forms down easily allowing for room for up to 4 golf bags and 4 passengers...can either the Q5 or Outback do that?

    • @Superman-xr1oh
      @Superman-xr1oh Год назад

      @@ericschmitz357 The point is that it has a small cargo space compared to others in the same segment with the 3rd row up.

    So what feels faster? MDX Type S or Turbo S? And which is better driving? I'm asking because I'm between the 2 SUVs.

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1  Год назад +4

      Considering the difference in price, I’d go with the Turbo s. The MDX feels slightly more premium and might be a TAD quicker but we’re talking 0.1-0.3 seconds. I don’t think that justifies a $15k difference in price 👍🏼

    Ooohhh, at nearly $60,000?????? That Lexus RX price territory.... it's going to be a hard sell just like the Cx-9..... I don't think buyers are ready to pay a Lexus price for a Mazda.....as evidenced by the miniacre sale volume of the CX-9.....

    $62k for a Mazda? geez, it's nice but it is not a luxury brand! in my opinion cannot be compared to a volvo or bmw even a genesis!

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1  Год назад +3

      Idk man it’s a Fully Loaded and powerful 3-row suv. At this price point with Genesis you’re getting 2 rows and probably a 4 cylinder. The base model starts around 40k and still gets the turbo 6 and a nice interior 👍🏼

      Have you driven the Volvo though? Its not a good ride , genesis maybe. Of course I could say it’s still a Kia. Mazda needs to just start setting up in parking lots and letting people take them for a test drive. People have no idea what they are missing or even the level of work that Mazda is putting into these cars, the way they drive and refinement

    • @Quinton0520

      @@thetechlibrarian yes! I loved the xc60 it rode great! But I was looking at more. Genesis aren’t they just Hyundais? That worrries me due to the engines catching on fire.

      @@Quinton0520 People are funny with the "but it's a Mazda" mentality. Aside from being in the top 3 in reliability, and top in safety for nearly the past decade, they're also known to be the best in driving dynamics and interior quality. The CX-90 simply out classes everything anywhere near its price point (even at $60k) compares quite favorably to vehicles costing 20-30k more. It's looked at as a bargain, even at $60k. This is a pretty universal consensus within the industry. Yet somehow there are still people who say "but it's a Mazda", lol.
