Beautifully done! I learned so much without all the talking. Im a novice but not an idiot so thank you for being quick and simple and actually teaching me the “basic advance” than basic like other tutorials where they act like you’re an idiot and explain what a cursor is or a period is.
That really is the beauty with photoshop video tutorials. You can just watch them again. In fact I recommend doing this anyway. I definitely go through the top 10 must used features in photoshop quickly but the idea is to get photoshop beginners doing what they want to do as soon as possible. Happy Photoshopping.
Hey ed, i don't seem to have the refine edge tool. I have something called "select and Mask" it seems similar yet it's different. Which version of PS are you using? I can't get the same results you have.

Quick question because I'm too lazy to get out of bed and test. Do adjustment layers only change the layers below them and leave out the ones above? Nice tutorials, the timing of this series is impeccable as I've just subscribed to the CC package for photographers. You definitely have a subscription worthy channel.
What you have brough up here is something that is extremely important in photoshop. Layers are incredible and adjustment layers ONLY effect what is below and can even be attached to just on e layer. so if you want it to effect everything it should be the very top layer. Hi Ed, For starters using Photoshop I would first go to the preferences and set the workings space to my needs (like pixels, cm, inches, black or grey canvas, color profile, rulers , grid etc) before I would do anything. Basically your tut is a trip to memory lane. I started editing in Micrografx Picture Publisher (PP) and changed to PS in version 5.0 (around 2000). Man those layers were incredible, PP didn't have those. First thing I did was counterfeiting ID's for my friends kids so they could enter the disco when they were 15 years and parking tickets cause valet parking rates here are no 12 highest in the world. hehehehe, can you believe that, in those days, who had heard about Photoshop. OMG

I have been using Photoshop for a very long time too and i must say it definitely has had many uses over the years :) hehehehe. this photoshop video tutorial really was a full overview of possibilities, the ret of the course is going into more detail on a lot of the elements in photoshop. Yes the sky is the limit, I use it to do models (not my own) and make surrealistic image and compositions. In the past I used PS for Photography but that has changed to Lightroom for 90%, in the years.

For starters using Photoshop I would first go to the preferences and set the workings space to my needs (like pixels, cm, inches, black or grey canvas, color profile, rulers , grid etc) before I would do anything. Basically your tut is a trip to memory lane. I started editing in Micrografx Picture Publisher (PP) and changed to PS in version 5.0 (around 2000). Man those layers were incredible, PP didn't have those. First thing I did was counterfeiting ID's for my friends kids so they could enter the disco when they were 15 years and parking tickets cause valet parking rates here are no 12 highest in the world. hehehehe, can you believe that, in those days, who had heard about Photoshop. OMG

I have been using Photoshop for a very long time too and i must say it definitely has had many uses over the years :) hehehehe. this photoshop video tutorial really was a full overview of possibilities, the ret of the course is going into more detail on a lot of the elements in photoshop. Yes the sky is the limit, I use it to do models (not my own) and make surrealistic image and compositions. In the past I used PS for Photography but that has changed to Lightroom for 90%, in the years.
