People forget how good prime Paul Robinson was. The media were a disgrace after that freak goal against Croatia. Recovered well after joining Blackburn, but was never looked at the same. Good to see Nigel Martyn on form as well.
Little things back then, are now gone. Like showing us the first 20-30 seconds of the game, regardless of nothing happening. It made you feel like you were watching it somewhat "live" in a way. Just lets you soak in the atmosphere.
Everton vs Spurs was a good game. Remember the beginning of the Martin Jol era which were good times as a Spurs fan. Everton were a very solid outfit under David Moyes. Was it the season before that they qualified for the champions league via a top 4 spot?

Wasn't it so much better back then, before it became all about Waneker? Look how smart they were. Now it's the Gary Waneker show, it's the pits, don't bother with it anymore.
Arsenal were a strong argument for being the best side ever to play in the English top tier back in those days. Although the great Liverpool side from the early 80's and the current Man City side would also have a strong at for that claim.

RIP Jose Antonio Reyes and Gary Speed.

I love watching these videos this was the golden era of the Prem even if as a Leeds fan we only spent 2 seasons in it.

The Good old days when Man City were Man City.
Ferguson at Blackburn was great that year.

No this was the season Everton finished 4th.
I miss having the presenter and pundits wearing suits and ties on MOTD, nowadays they all wear "casual" clothes and they just look a mess.

@sillygoose635 yeah when everyone plays the same way, and having to contend with VAR and 65 minutes of injury time.

The amount of players in autobiographies who didn't like him is very telling.

The Gunners were unplayable at Highbury during this period upto 2006 when they moved.
And still couldn’t win the champions league
Until they met Wayne Bridge
The days of no goal line technology or VAR. Better times in my opinion, football was never meant for perfection.
