The best part about this is that he seems like such a great guy. He won't quit because he wants to see his A level students to their conclusion, what a guy.
I still find it just a little mysterious how he only needed one lifeline in his entire run. I think that's only happened a couple of times over the whole Who wants to be a Millionaire franchise.
@@jakefessi8045 It is mysterious but I think it's just chance. There have been that many episodes at this point that eventually a game would play out in this way.
Incredible level or knowledge acquired through a lifetime of learning and it paid off. Well done to him. He might be the most knowledgeable contestant WTTBAM has ever had. Well deserved.
didnt think of that.......the odds would be in his favour...3 life lines and that google internet head on his shoulder......who knows might of been there still till now,,,,,some trillion pound question lol,,,,,,,😀😀😀
Wow, Well done Donald, That was a Masterclass in Answering Questions! You didn’t Overthink, or talk yourself out of anything, You didn’t Double guess, You knew the answer, Didn’t doubt your knowledge and just Smashed it like a Boss! And you seem like a Genuinely Nice and truly Humble Guy, Well done Sir 🤩👍🏻🎉
No question about it, he’s the greatest contestant there’s ever been on this quiz show, and that’s including every country it’s been broadcasted in! He bears a striking resemblance to brilliant actor Donald Pleasance.
@@hedgehog1965ukI would of played along and said ‘hmmmm I have no idea Jeremy let’s ask you Then Jeremy says I have no idea then say Only joking I knew all along it’s B final answer
I had no idea of the pirate question but knew most of the others. But there is no way I would have been able to answer all those under the huge pressure of being watched by millions on TV. He was just so calm and unfazed, also probably was a bit lucky with some of the questions but his general knowledge was obviously phenomenal.
Lots of positive comments which is nice to see, I thought the questions were landing incredibly nice for my sphere of knowledge so they seemed relatively easy for me but had they asked a question about a soap opera or a wag I'd have been stumped completely. I do think these were probably easier than some of the high end questions have been in the past though, much more common knowledge than some of the obscure questions of the past.

I got them all right! Sometimes they just fall into the right categories. The toughest for me was the politicians, but my Mum was a big Jim Callahan supporter.
Imagine him and his brother in a pub quiz. I'd just walk out 😂😂
I actually go to a pub quiz that they go to and yes they win every week :D
Let's face it, they probably own the pub now !
Yeah wud be home time before you even started haha 😂
@@gregmcaloon love a good old lie
@@nxclyons He's not lying! the quiz he goes to takes place in a pub called the Last Inn in Newport Shropshire, awfully close to Telford

Absolutely. That bit brought a tear to my eye. He is still thinking about his students.
Remarkable performance, I was hoping he'd use his lifelines to pull a John Carpenter move and call his brother to say he's going to win the million.
I still find it just a little mysterious how he only needed one lifeline in his entire run. I think that's only happened a couple of times over the whole Who wants to be a Millionaire franchise.

Yes! That would have been great...'You know you won 500,000 yeh, well I'm going to win a million!'. Jeremy would have loved it. :)
Does tell you a lot about the man‘s good character that he doesn‘t even need that kind of gratification. Very well deserved win for him.
I thought that too
When he said 'I taught Piracy' LOL.
LazyTown pirate song playing in my head now
Ooh arr me hearties
I was laughing crazy, I had never imagined that 😂 Deserving dude
I love people like him. He's so knowledgeable in many subjects and he seems a genuinely nice person. Well done to him.
He won the show on his terms from start to finish.
Total control.
Well done
I've watched this over a dozen times over the years and it still never fails to make me emotional. What a character - he truly deserves that million.
Agreed. Probably my absolutely favourite round of millionaire ever. He deserves every penny
i hope he enjoyed botswana
A dozen times? My god I was bored to tears
In this age of earth crawling cluelessness, it's utterly relieving to watch a truly knowledgeable person.
Thank you for Humanity, Mr. Fear!
Mr Fear is fearlessly knowledgeable 😊
@@pappapappi9177 ☺
None more clueless than Jeremy "Tax Dodger" Clarkson saying that Comfortably Numb is about Syd Barrett. FFS.
@@konetampere Harmless mistake. Other kinds of ignorance are truly harmful.
To say he wouldn't retire till his studens had taken their A level exams speaks volumes about the man . Classy fella .

This guy taught history has just made history, what a guy! We’ll deserved
Thanks for fully uploading probably the greatest run on the show! ^^
This was truly remarkable, never seen a knowledgeable man like him on any quiz show! Just Wow!!😮
12:00 "you need to slow down" 😂😂 let us at least try to milk some tension out of this instead of instantly saying "A final answer, next"
Absolutely outstanding, to win with 3 lifelines left is remarkable, he could easily be the next chaser
21:37 *_"YOU'VE JUST WON A MILLION POUNDS!"_*
Davyth was definitely proud of his brother that day.
or jealous 😂
He sounds so happy to finally get to say it.
He was my secondary school teacher in the 90's.......nice to see him win big
Him actually 1 upping his brothers 500k is stuff of legend
I thought it was Donald Pleasence! 🤣🤣🤣
Amazing performance, i suspect if the prize has been 2 million he would have won it

The British John Carpenter
Except he didn't call to announce that he was going to win a million 😂
His humility is inspiring
So funny he just so happened to have “taught piracy” 🏴☠️
Lol weird coincidence. It must be a niche subject, I certainly never did piracy in history class.
He said it was part of a criminology module.
He is fearless!!!!!!!!
Love from India! ❤
He's the sort of guy with wide knowledge that if you brought him back he could win a million a second time
You would rarely see Jeremy in such an awe of a contestant ! And how well deserved it was. Mr. Fear absolutely breezed through Fear-lessly 😄😃😀👌👍👏♥️✨

And he did indeed get one step ahead of his brother

That was so fast roo. Did not mess about. Fair play to him.
Compared to the value of money when the show started in 1998, this man has actually only won about half a million.
What a wonderful man, such knowledge, when he said he taught piracy I knew he was going to win a million 😊
