Those old Beach huts near the dunes are very interesting, they were built as a sea defense system.
The roofs of the huts are old Nissan huts turned upside down,no doubt from WW2 airfields near the area.A nice bit of recycling in the 50s ,when they were built after the great floods.
The flats are now private flats ,but we're built for the midland coal miners,I think the old building that was there originally was introduced by Florence Nightingale, but iam not sure.

Wow some great info there, love a bit of input from our viewers. There are lots of old WW2 defence relics along the coast line and across Lincolnshire in general. Thanks for your contribution it means the world to us.
