Fantastic customization work, could you tell me which customization was carried out on the head radical 2023, how many grams it added in 3 and 9 hours and on the racket handle. Thank you for your help!
Thank you! These were slightly under spec for SW and this matching process only added a few more points. They sit at 316 now but with more lead at 12 or 3/9 you could get to the desired 330 SW no problem
Hi, thank you for the work it is really helpful ! I’m looking to buy 1 after felling in love during demo. Since I’m lucky that the tennis shop nearby has a swingweight machine, could you confirm you ended up at 316 SW strung based on a 285 unstrung SW ? Also what string and gauge did you put in there ? Thanks !
Why not just add the lead tape on either side of the grommets on the inside part of the frame? The advantage is, I can always add another strip of tape on top of the original if I want to add even more weight to the frame!
Some players, like myself, are absolutely sensitive to the differences in weight, balance and swing weight in multiple frames. The proof is in the way each racquet feels when you make contact with the ball, especially if you are an advanced player.
In the past, I was able to pick out a SW difference of less than 4 units simply by swinging the rackets handed to me. I could pick out the lower SW racket every time. In general, you are correct and the starting point for these rackets is so close that they probably would have been fine without any changes. I would have wanted the SW to be higher but now that they are matched so precisely, I could simply add more weight at 12 o'clock or 3/9 o'clock to increase SW. The TW racket customization tool is great to find out how to match rackets.
So i have these stocks and asded 8 (4 on face) inches of lead tape at 9 and 3. Should i add more via leather grip? I tested the percep 97d and didnt realize rhst stepping back ontk vcore, i ended up feeling like my racquet was not as stable. I'm looking for ways to make it more stable bht am unsure. 😊
For tungsten putty, if you stick it in the chamber don’t you run the risk of the putty eventually making it out of the cotton ball and into the head of the frame? Also, do you notice much difference vs lead in the buttcap?
I guess there’s a small risk of that. It’s kind of sticky though and adheres well to the cotton. The staples that attach the buttcap generally keep it from moving at all.
Have you tried the vcore 95? If you have, why do you prefer the 98. I used the 95 and will try shortly the 98. I’m looking for spin and a bit more upset but not too much.
98 better spin and feel, big sweetspot, but sometimes unpredictable, 95 little bit stiffer, better control, decent power, and good spin, ideal for baseliners or big hitters; all depends on your gamestyle.
is there any chance you have the vcore 98 and then 95 still? I'm finding my 98 has much more vibration outside of the sweetspot than the 95 and I can't figure out if there's something wrong with the racket
hi, great channel! i was wondering what grip size did you decide to go with? did you find they run larger than equiveland grips of other racquets such as Wilson or Head?
I thought of this too and personally wouldn't do it this way. I usually add the strip of lead on the frame and not over the grommet hole. If I am adding under the bumper, I would add strips of lead on the frame beside the grommet and the bumper would cover them after I put it back on. If I am adding lead on the sides, I simply add them on the inside of the frame beside the grommet where they are visible. Pete Sampras, Osaka, Djokovic, Verdasco and many other pros have all used frames with visible lead on the sides. I have add1/2 wide lead tape over the grommet but I used a hole punch to punch out holes for the grommet and didn't push the lead back down into the grommet hole. Most frames are hollow and a little of lead rattling around in a frame would drive me crazy.
What? You can measure the weight by siding a scale. What’s done is this video is balancing the racquets so that later on if this person wanted to customize they wouldn’t have 3 racquets that feel too different. Of course you can just stick lead anywhere and take it off.
@@андрейенютин-ы5ъ I’m not sure what you mean? When you bought racquets from the shop they will all be a little off usually because quality control sucks with most companies. He’s matching them so the person who is using can experience similar feedback from each racquet. Then from there you can stick lead tape anywhere because all the racquets are more or less the same.
@@андрейенютин-ы5ъ spinweight? Not sure what you mean exactly or did you mean RPM? Recoil and twist and swing weight can be measured. Agreed it won’t always be accurate but more or less technology has advanced enough to measure the weight of something when you can swing it.
Great video. Love the precision and attention to detail when you mod.
Thanks 👍
Love the attention, care, accuracy and precision. You should charge for this service my friend!
Thank you
Buy an awl for punching holes into the lead strips beneath the grommets. Way way easier.
Embrace the grind :) I love that

Amazing!! Nice work 🎾
The best customising tutorial ever. How much SW has been added with your string set up? I am looking for a SW of 330/335 strung on my vCore98

subscribed. Amazing chanel.
Thank you
the change made in video is precise but the change is so minor. I just do not see how much different this will make in the final product.

Wearing noise canceling headphones at 7:19 is tripy. Thought someone was in the room next to me.
🤣
Do you Play the Rackets in Stock now?? Or have you customized it?
Hey! Great video... I'm working on matching 4 Babolat Pure Strike VS racquets. Would you be willing to lend som consult via zoom? Happy to pay!

I think it should play great the way you have it customized currently. You could always add a leather grip later if you feel the need

I’ve never seen a Yonex on tenniswarehouse’s spec for swingweight, always seems to be 10 points below ish. Is this something you’ve also noticed?
Yes, I find most rackets (not just Yonex) come in 5-10 points less than what TW lists.
For a company so methodical, yonex should have a racket matching service or at least sell rackets in pairs
Yeah, I guess that financially it doesn’t make sense for companies to do it.
hi, great channel! i was wondering what grip size did you decide to go with? did you find they run larger than equiveland grips of other racquets such as Wilson or Head?
I went with 4 3/8. I don’t find them to be larger for me. Babolat is the only company where I size down to 4 1/2
The way you add lead tape, if any small pieces come inside the frame, it would be the pain in the a**

Nice vid but I see it's not worth it
Nice but useless. The weight of the lead tape is impossible to guess. To remove the lead tape you have to change the grommet 😢.
