Nick Schnee was a damn nice guy doing all that for his kingdom. Too bad his successor didn't really inherits the morals that Nick cared most about.

Because the only thing Jacques inherited before the company was the name
Well he is based on Santa.
Yup. Weiss Schnee is the only hope left though since she takes after her grandfather and wants to fix everything

Qrow: EAT THE RICH.

Why does it sound like Qrows running for president and his opponent is Jacques
Well, we all know how Jacques runs a political campaign....
@@peterwright5358 by framing, and crushing the party, so he can win.
World of Remnant is a gold mine for fanfic writers that have to use their imagination to fill in the blanks of things. Kinda wish they would cover a couple more topics with more clarity. Also wondering if Weiss had any aunts or uncles
at the moment we are not sure if any of them are still alive remember Wiess had mentioned before there had been attacks from the white fang on board members and "family members/relatives" in season 1 and during on the train into vale (Season 2) the white fang member with the chainsaw was VERY happy about getting his first schnee kill. It's safe to say that there were plenty of relatives who have been killed because of Jacques actions (which lead to white fang attacks) and if by chance there is any relatives still alive how they would be in current events is up in the air considering they could be living the high life but simultaneously be hated extreme by being associated by name/blood or flat out broke and out if sight and out of mind because Jacques doesn't want to anyone else to be a bloodsucker besides him as well as not allowing the chance for a relative to try to take the company away from him. But it does make a person think on that matter and does provide something to explore in the possible future.
@@Shadowfire129 Ooo, very good point on Jacques not wanting to share the Schnee fortune, hadn't considered that.
The family being killed off one by one would also explain why Whitley and Weiss lived a very sheltered life. Winter was probably the only one able to step outside of the Schnee mansion since becoming a soldier. This all most likely helped Jacques keep the very few heirs within his reach and his manipulation, something Weiss inhibited by going to Vale. From the outside, people couldn't be sure if it was Jacques' concern for Weiss or his greed that made him take her back
@@Henzukaya It was because Jacques is very big in controlling and Winter running off to join the army certainly made it grow that he tried to make sure the remaining two were within sight and more importantly within control. And yes people from an outside perspective were not sure on jacques actions were actually concern or something else. Though for us viewers we know it was not for actual concern considering several things about the man's behavior or personality. I mean you real the trailer "White" where Wiess fought against the giant suit of Armor? That suit of armor actually belong to Nicholas Schnee and was being possessed by actual Grimm that Wiess had to beat just to get PERMISSION to go to Beacon Academy. It was explained and shown in the manga by the way. Frankly time and time again all Jacques ever cared was for was control. Whenever Wiess was standing against him he would try to get her back in his control. A simple example was in...season 3 I think? Basically when Wiess was buying her teammates noodle bowls (and one bowl of fish for Blake) her credit card was declined, right after she ignored a call from her Father. That there is tactic of control by the wallet. Another is when Wiess and Jacquess were talking in his study and he questioned if she forgot her "manners" and so. The man never truly had any parental care or love for his children. His children or rather Wiess was.....sort of game or personal goal on him trying to control. A challenge for him. He didn't do anything to Whitely since he learned to imitate his actions and become a yes man/bootlicker while Winter ran off to the Ironwood/Army which he is VERY sore about. His wife is essentially broken. So overall Jacques has an obsession for control and being it shows time and time again.
@@Henzukaya to be honest I don't think he share with his children if he could. like if he got some sort of immortality he get rid of them
@@mrsomething1312 He has definitely been brain washing Whitley to be a Jacques 2.0 though, so I think he just wants to deny the fortune to everyone else but those of his choosing

Wow, Qrow, tell us how you really feel. XD
Weiss Schnee, the best Schnee out there. Glad her name will represent the Family after Jacque instead of Jacque's lasting an Eternity...
With how things in V7 turned out, I think that we might need a new head of the SDC. Personally I think that it’s clear who that likely is: Willow
Daughter of Nicolas, who almost definitely has the necessary knowledge and experience, who we know from the comics at least may be able to be a lot like Weiss. Especially as her children are either off doing something else or too young. Depending on how Atlas law works, being Jacques’ wife she might even have control now.
logically I would like to agree with you but you forget one annoying problem.
Jacques, even with the man behind bars (for now...or at least we think he is behind bars) it is still possible that man left plenty of legal hurdles and loops that Willow would have to navigate and deal with despite the man being arrested and behind bars. That also doesn't include the possibility of Jacques leaving a "will" for Whitely to take his place in case something happens to him or Whitely himself trying to take the seat his father had. There is also the possibility of Board members trying to obstruct Willow for whatever reason just to try to profit for themselves as well as limit the amount of control/power she has. It has happen in real life sadly.
Salam "Schnee dust company is officially under new management".
Willow deserve a better life and perfect husband. But if that happens, Weiss wouldn't exist.
The same applies to Winter and Whitley!
They would have to go back to the past like Mcfly
And I guess have to make Jague a better man
Qrow is her father and he doesnt know it
it does raise an interesting question if willow did have a perfect husband who would come into existence, there have been debates that sometimes a person could potentially exist even with a different person being a parent, which by that I mean we could get a wiess type character but that has differences from hair color, gender, semblance, personality but at it's core the Wiess we know is there. I mean the good and niceness of the Wiess we know and love certainly didn't come from Jacques. It had to came from the mother. So is it really crazy to believe that even with a different father we "could" still get Wiess?
Basically multi-verse theory.

I got some theories about this. (SPOILERS FROM SEASON 7)
If Jacques is no longer the businessman for the company, would that Whitley take over the company? The last thing that Whitley saw his father was he got arrested after he was falsely won the election. And here's another thing, Whitley always had his support for Jacques after Weiss left. But I'm just glad Weiss is not like her father when he took over the company. I have a great feeling that Weiss will become the next person to take over the SDC next season or the next 2 seasons.
I am willing to bet Willow will take over. Whitley is a minor (he's like 16 max) and Weiss is off on her quest to save the world. Willow almost definitely has the necessary knowledge and even probably some experience with the company.
Of course she'll have to get sober, but that seems like probably her arc anyway. And from the comics its said how Willow used to be (before the abuse and alcoholism) a lot like Weiss, so thats a very good thing. I don't see Weiss taking over as a real possibility soon because she needs to go off and save the world. Can't run a company when trekking through Vacuo and she has no reason to with Willow back home.
And he wears clip on ties making him 10x less of a business man
That moment when you realize Weiss’s grand father is Santa Claus 😂
Qrow: sees notes

Just love the little doodle's that qrow puts in when decides to roast the schnee
Qrow, not all the schnee's are like that
He doesn't know during that time
True
He knows. He has nothing but praise for Nick and cites Weiss as having the potential to restore the family and company’s honor. Plus, he doesn’t really refer to the Schnee family, but the Schnee Dust Company as it is today. Jacque and his cronies.
Yeah, what about their good old third cousin-in-law twice removed and her adopted child, Ezla and Anya?
Though it's worth mentioning that so far in the show, literally only one "Schnee" has been that bad - Jacque - with his son Whitely simply trying to adapt to a home life where his mother is a drunk, his father a prick, and his two older sisters look out for each other but not for him.
Nicholas Schnee....is he based on St. Nicholas?
Yes. Santa Claus was the big man before he gave his company to Jack Frost and hopefully his Granddaughter Snow White can help make things right
@@DamianMaisano This deserves more likes

This gave me a deeper interest in the shnee family and their history
Nick Schnee was a Saint, he accomplished so much for the sake of others. His greatest mistake was entrusting the SDC to Jacque and having him marry his daughter. The only good thing that came out from this mistake was the fact that Winter and Weiss are brought into the world. I don’t know how to feel about Whitley yet we’ll just have to see what Volume 8 will have in store.
His great grand daughter will carry on his legacy.
The Great BOI his granddaughter, but yeah you’re right.
Maybe the schees shoudl inherit one power set.
Ex. Weiss time dialation from the first 2 volumes
Winter glyphs
And then whitney with dust manipulations.
I choose withney dust manipualtion powers because it goes well with his reputwtion to become a heir of schnee dust company so it is fitting for him.
Winter with glyphs is more suitable because she was able to create them at a short time rather than weiss.
Sounds like Nicholas is weiss’s hero probably a lot like Weiss’s crow considering she even summons his armor most of the time

After season 7 we can confirm that Jacque was not a real businessman he was definitely a “fake it to you make it “ considering that he let Watts trick him. A real businessman considered all options before making a decision and thinks things through 😤
yes, Jacques brings shame to all businessman
He also wears a clip on tie don't forget that
don't forget he also uses "throw money at a problem to make it go away" or as Qrow likes to say have the damn best PR team in the world.
then agains should we be surprised? The man literally married his way to money basically you might as well say he's the male version of a gold digger
Being fair to Jacques, he isn't necessarily Incompetent. It's mentioned the SDC was successful(if highly amoral) under his control. And from a purely pragmatic Perspective, Watts offer was great. Jacques thought his motivation was just to screw over Ironwood, and had no way of knowing how big his real motive was
@@brianbrush5107 That is true but it's easy to see that he used the already wealthy SDC to help fund himself and to improve profits he did so by costing the company soul. Cheap Labor, dangerous work conditions destroying all other dust companies through his economic might. But see here's the thing if he was TRULY a great business man he would had been hesitate about Walt's offer because it was TOO GOOD to be true and businessmen especially amoral ones are extremely cautious about too good to be true deals. Because frankly the one guy who was thought to be dead was alive and just so happened to have information that would allow you (Jacques) the very thing you need to win the election as well get more power and wealth and bring down Ironwood who's been pushing you (Jacques) around? At a certain point a smart person would have to wonder what Watts would get from all this. The fact that he never once did so shown how naive he is and how it's easy to blindside Jacques when you present an offer he could not ignore.
Typical Jacque, piggybacking off the efforts of the hardworking individual who started from nothing.
