I played this game a lot in my childhood and have been looking for it on and off for years now. So glad I finally found it! Thank you for helping me re-live old memories!
Barricade: "Because they're weak. Weakness breeds fear, and fear makes every ally an enemy. That's why we Decepticons don't tolerate weakness." Barricade barely gets any love in Michael Bay Transformers, but that line is one of my favorite to quote from this DS game back in my middle school years. I was fourteen years old when the first movie came out back in 2007.
In the bay films barricade is characterised as a battle loving brute, but I much prefer the sharp knowledgeable and slightly snide barricade that always has a plan in the ds version
I haven’t played this game in YEARS! The soundtrack, the voices, the graphics, the sound effects bring back so much nostalgia to when my dad would come home from work with ds games 😭
Both games DO NOT share the same data copy. You can name your Autobot in the Autobots version with any name you want (Blaze, Cipher, Trigger, Mobius, Count, etc.) or the Decepticon in the Decepticons version any name you want (Grabacr, Ofnir, Strigon. Rage, Roper, etc.) but the name used for your Autobot cannot apply in the Decepticons version, and vice versa (the name used for your Decepticon cannot apply in the Autobots version).
I hate how Blackout died even back when I was a kid, I was so bummed that Blackout died and hated that I need to kill Barricade but atleast Barricade put up a fight but a simple cheese killed him quite easily. I unlocked all the vehicles without cheating. This version allows you to go back to the beginning, there's a news chopper that can be scanned in top of a building which you won't see in other maps.
@@Gianski150yes bro I remember not ever playing past the first mission just to explore lol. I figured out how to climb the buildings and remembered every time I would “explore” I would get the helicopter and just fight as much as possible lol.

Ditto with Megatron's "I will crush the spark right out of you!" and "I'll tear out your optics!" (Autobots) All Transformer bosses are FULLY FUNCTIONAL and will repeat the same lines over and over again UNTIL YOU ARE DEAD!

Me and my friend had the Autobot version and we always played the competitive mode, then I asked my mom a lot to buy me the Decepticon version. And when I bought it I was so happy that I got it the same day. Then I remember humiliating my friend why Starscream was OP
I might have gotten it confused for the other game, but at 54:07 that bridge i would try to go on it as the helicopter and tried to see as to how far i can go before it brings me back into the map. I just ignored the missions and drove around. Appreciating all the roads and how they connected, flying around, and trying to break the game. Good times man

I do love how they do build up optimus as a threat, with everyone in the group seeking to avoid interacting with prime because they realize they’ll die
Looking at this game never having seen it before I love it to bits. Like it just oozes personality and potential. Now imagine if they got the license for a Playstation 2 (or 3) game, it would have been such a banger.

We need a open world transformers game , we can create our own transformer and choose who to fight for , autobots or Deceptacons . There should be multiple endings base own our actions through the game . Heck I would love a ending , that have us kill Megatron and starscream and take over the Deceptacons and earth .
I really missed playing this game so much I played this when I was a little kid and I beat all the campaign and it was really enjoyed play it but the only think I ain’t play yet was the online sense the shut it down sadly but I was I could play online on that game tho

The story is actually pretty good for a ds game
Not to mention in game voice acting all the other DS games i played just had text
And lets not forget how nice the storys of the autobot and Decepticons version matched together
